Walla Walla Wine Country Home, Converted Game Room, Sleeps 8, Dogs Welcome
THE SPACE Some trips are built around a destination. This one is built around a home. College Place sits at the edge of Washington wine country, five minutes from some of the valley's best tasting rooms and fifteen minutes from over a hundred producers pouring in downtown Walla Walla. But once your group finds this place, with the game room lit up, the chandelier glowing over the dining table, and the grill going in the backyard, the itinerary has a way of loosening up. That is not a complaint. That is the point.
This is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home that sleeps eight comfortably, with a fully converted garage game room, a fenced backyard, a dining room that was designed for long dinners, and a kitchen that can actually feed a group. Dogs are welcome. The whole property is yours.
LIVING ROOM Every group trip needs a room where everyone gravitates back to. This is that room. A large flat-screen TV faces a sectional that fits the whole group without anyone getting squeezed into a corner. The layout is easy and open, the kind of room that works for a loud first night in just as well as a quiet final morning with coffee. The patio slider connects directly to the backyard, so the inside and outside of this house feel like one continuous space when the weather cooperates.

KITCHEN AND DINING The kitchen is built for the group that actually wants to cook, and the dining room was designed for the group that wants to make dinner last. Start in the kitchen. Full-size refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, and a deep prep island with bar stools for the people who want to help but mostly want to watch. The Keurig coffee station is ready before anyone has to ask. There is counter space, there is storage, and there is enough room for two people to work side by side without getting in each other's way. Feeding eight does not require a reservation here. Then walk into the dining room. A statement crystal chandelier hangs over a white farmhouse table ringed by tufted velvet wingback chairs, and the effect is immediate. This is not a folding table in a rental kitchen. This is a room that was put together with intention, and it shows.

This is where the good bottles get opened. The ones you saved for the last night, or the ones the winery talked you into that afternoon. Two hours past dessert is not unusual here.
Bedrooms Three bedrooms that were set up to feel like an actual retreat, not an afterthought. Bedroom 1, the primary suite, leads with a wood-framed headboard, layered bedding, and warm lamp lighting that takes the edge off after a long day. Room to unpack for a week if the trip calls for it.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 follow the same standard. Coordinated linens, proper reading lamps, and enough floor space to set bags down and actually move around. Both rooms are dressed and ready, and neither one feels like it was furnished last.
In-unit washer and dryer in a dedicated laundry room, so a four-night trip stays as fresh as a two-night one
THE GAME ROOM This is the part of the listing that guests come back to mention in their reviews. The two-car garage has been fully converted into a private entertainment lounge, and it does not feel like a garage anymore. Epoxy floors, real lighting, and a layout that was planned for a group that wants to stay up a little later than they intended. The ESPN dual-arcade basketball shooter is the centerpiece, and it draws people in every time. Cornhole boards for when the competition needs to move. A leather reclining sofa for the people keeping score and commentary. A wine barrel bar table with bar stools for the post-game drinks. The room works for a rainy afternoon between wineries just as well as the final night of the trip when no one wants the weekend to end.

BACKYARD AND OUTDOOR SPACES Step out the back door and the yard is entirely yours. A concrete patio runs along the back of the house with a full outdoor dining set, umbrella shade, and a gas grill ready to use year-round. String lights run overhead. The yard is fenced, which means dogs can run and kids can roam without anyone chasing them. The space is private, quiet, and completely separated from the street.

About the host
Hosted by Mindy
I live in Bonney Lake, Washington, but part of my heart has always been in the Walla Walla Valley. My son and his family are rooted here, and what started as trips to visit them turned into something I did not expect. I fell in love with this place. The wine, the landscape, the way a weekend here slows down in exactly the right way. After enough visits, it stopped making sense to just pass through and start making something more permanent. So I created this home. A place where my family can gather when we are all together, and a place I can share with other travelers when we are not here. Every room was put together the way I would want it for my own family, because that is exactly who I had in mind when I set it up. I chose this neighborhood deliberately. It sits at the edge of town, quiet and safe, with room to breathe. Less than a hundred yards from the front door is the walking path that leads toward Whitman Mission, and Walla Walla University is less than half a mile away. It is the kind of neighborhood where you can walk out in the morning with a cup of coffee and actually feel like you are somewhere, not just parked near a freeway exit. When you stay here, you are staying in a home I genuinely love, in a valley I keep coming back to as often as I can. I want your experience here to feel the way mine always does. Like you found something worth returning to.
Why they chose this property
It sits at the edge of town, quiet and safe, with room to breathe. It is the kind of neighborhood where you can walk out in the morning with a cup of coffee and actually feel like you are somewhere.
What makes this property unique
This home is brand new, built and furnished from the ground up with a specific guest in mind: groups and families who want more than a place to sleep between winery visits. Most rentals in the valley give you a comfortable room and a nice location. This one gives you a converted game room with an ESPN dual-arcade basketball shooter, cornhole, a leather reclining sofa, and a wine barrel bar that becomes the unofficial headquarters of the trip by night two. It is the kind of space that keeps the group together and the energy going without anyone having to leave the property. The layout is designed for families and groups to spread out without losing each other. The living room, game room, dining room, and backyard each have their own personality, so eight people can be in four different moods and everyone finds their spot. The fenced yard gives families with dogs and kids a private outdoor space that is entirely theirs, no shared common areas, no neighbors looking over the fence, just a quiet corner of wine country that belongs to your group for the weekend. And the location ties it all together. Edge of town, walkable to the Whitman Mission path, less than half a mile from Walla Walla University, quiet, safe, and ten minutes from over a hundred tasting rooms. There is not another property in the valley that puts all of that in one place.
