About this property

B Parisian & Reside in an Elegant, Spacious and Newly Built Eco-Friendly Studio

Experience a true Parisian experience with the highest level of luxury and modern comfort.

This eco-friendly, new and bright studio measures 350 sq. feet and is located on the second floor (third US floor) of a newly constructed building (2012) with high end modern amenities, including an elevator, and surrounded by an eco-sustainable urban park.

The award winning building and neighborhood are featured in the Paris Eco Walks website; New York Times; the architectural website, Archdaily; and were the Grand Prize winners of the 2016 GBCS Sustainable City Award.

The apartment building, named "Quintessence", was designed in accordance with the new French "environmentally safe" regulations which include solar heating, toxic free paint, under floor heating system, and double glazed windows.

The ample interior of the studio was professionally designed and decorated. As you enter the studio, the wall is covered with a VOC free decorative stone known as Pierre d' Afrique. The floors are of a light colored wood. There is an American style open kitchen with a full size refrigerator/freezer, induction cooktop and oven, microwave, washer/dryer and a large quartz counter top with two clear acrylic chairs that serve as an eating or working area. A built-in and specially designed 'armoire-lit' extends across the back wall providing a queen size bed with a high quality mattress and three full size closets.

The large SMART television, DVD player, and cable box sit on a glass table that allows for easy viewing from various positions. In addition to cable TV providing French, English and Spanish language programing, there is free WI-FI, and telephone with free service to the U.S., Australia and many other countries. In the living area, there are two comfortable Italian leather chairs and clear acrylic tables which sit on an area rug.

The spacious tiled bathroom is equipped with a full size shower with massage shower head, double floating sinks, floating toilet and towel warmer.

The French doors leading to the balcony offer proper Parisian views, including of the adjacent park.

The building is extremely safe as it is gated, a security code is required for entry and each unit is equipped with a security camera.

This properly appointed studio allows for stays extending from one week to several months in one of the most beautiful, artsy, colorful and enjoyable village like neighborhoods in the city of Paris.

B PARISIAN and enjoy our new pied-à-terre in the most beautiful city in the world!

A life long francophile and a yearly visitor of Paris, I could not pass up the opportunity to own a little piece of the most beautiful city in the world and B Parisian!

Why they chose this property

The area of le Batignolles offers a fashionable inner-Paris enclave. A true proponent of cafe society, Batignolles is responsible for a class of residents known as “bobos,” or, bourgeois bohemians. The neighborhood’s penchant for open air markets, resplendent gardens, and cultivated class lends Batignolles a graceful intimacy that attracts visitors to this village in the center of Paris.

The award winning building and neighborhood are featured in the Paris Eco Walks website; New York Times' the architectural website, Archdaily; and were recipient of the 2016 GBCS Sustainable City Award.

What makes this property unique

Historically, during the 19th century, the area of the Batignolles had an active cultural life, and it served as a base for the painters, Édouard Manet, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Renoir, and Edgar Degas who lived and socialized here. They actually became known as the 'groupe des Batignolles'. The poet Paul Verlaine spent his youth in the Batignolles, as did the French composer and singer Barbara who resided in the area. Last but not least, the Belgian singer Jacques Brel, a resident of the Batignolles wrote his hit 'Ne me quitte pas' here.

Today, the area is newly fashionable yet offers a quiet village like feel. It is extremely dynamic as far as ecology and arts go. Between the rue de Legendre and the rue des Batignolles there are more than fifteen galleries and workshops. There is a covered food market a block away on rue Lemercier. The Saturday organic food market where Oscar winning actress Marion Cotillard is frequently seen shopping is just a few blocks away. Down the street is the Square des Batignolles, an English-style garden with gentle hills, a grotto, a river, a waterfall, and even a miniature lake. Here you can also find the locals playing boules. There is also the eco-sustainable Clichy Batignolles park which offers a variety of activities. Nearby there are highly rated restaurants, shops and the new number 14 metro line and bus stop just down the street. Lastly, the avenue des Champs-Élysées and the avenue de l'Opéra are each but a 20 minute walk.
