About this property

Vintage Airstream Caravan: Porch, firepit, grill, 5 minutes to Pigeon Forge!

Welcome to Chrome Sweet Chrome! Make your getaway extra fun in this adorable 1959 Airstream caravan, with a retro-vacation vibe. Minutes from the fabulous attractions and restaurants of Pigeon Forge, you'll have the best of both worlds in this cozy glamper at the edge of the forest. Attention hikers and nature-lovers: Great Smoky Mountains National Park is close by!

Chrome Sweet Chrome boasts a canopied deck in front with seating for outdoor dining, guitar picking, or watching the fireflies on a summer evening. Challenge each other to a game of ladder toss on the lawn and follow up with toasted marshmallows over the fire bowl. A built-in charcoal grill makes cooking-out convenient. Firewood is included but charcoal is not included. It can be purchased close by at Whaley's or Kenjo’s. If you run out of firewood, more can also be purchased at Whaley’s or Kenjo’s.

Inside, enjoy a movie or binge-watch a TV series on the smart TV. Enjoy a board game or card game at the table. If dining alfresco isn't your thing, the indoor table has plenty of room for your grilled masterpiece, or for take-out from one of the hundreds of area restaurants.

The galley is equipped with a counter-height fridge with a small freezer compartment, a microwave, a kitchen sink, dishes and flatware, and small appliances such as a coffee machine and toaster. There are tools for cooking on the outdoor grill and containers for cooking in the microwave. It's recommended you store your food in the airtight container we provide, in the mini fridge, or bring your own cooler. Don't leave food in your vehicle or on the porch because bears are active in our area.

There's a DG Market grocery store, two convenience stores, and a pizza/Italian food restaurant just half a mile from the Airstream, so you needn't drive far if you need supplies or want a quick meal. A few miles further, there are many restaurants, as well as a Kroger and a Publix to shop at for a wider variety of food choices.

The bathroom is a comfortable size for a 22 ft caravan, including a residential-plumbed toilet, sink, and shower. Note to those new to caravan living: the water is nice and hot, but the water heater is necessarily small, so showers are not long.

Chrome Sweet Chrome is committed to sustainability. We offer eco-friendly soaps and shampoo, use LED light bulbs and other energy-saving features, and are currently re-wilding a portion of the property to reduce mowing and protect and encourage wildlife.

Next door is an antique log cabin, that sleeps six (VRBO # 2997775), which is available to rent either in tandem with Chrome Sweet Chrome or separately.

You'll have a blast discovering the abundant options for local fun in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg area. There's truly something for every interest--from antiquing to amusement parks to zip-lining to hiking and much more. Some of the close-by attractions are listed below.

When the day's adventures are through and it's time for dreamland, sink into your comfy bed and re-charge for another fun day tomorrow
