Thanks for staying with us and for the review,
The photos were taken with a standard wide-angle lens (industry practice to show full rooms) and haven’t been altered and it is can comfortably cater 7 people, hope to have you back in the future.
A very nice place with nice rooms and a back garden . A little difficult to find initially as Google maps shows 6 Stanford Rd as the pub on the end of the street. Close to shops and water front.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re really glad you enjoyed the rooms and the back garden. Apologies for the initial confusion with the location — we appreciate you pointing that out and will look into ways to make it clearer for future guests. Great to hear you found the area convenient too — being close to shops and the waterfront is one of our favourite things about it as well. Hope to welcome you again soon!
Lovely property, good location and a wonderful stay
Myself and some friends stayed here for the weekend. The house was really clean, well located for wandering into the town centre and had everything we needed. Check in/out was easy and we would certainly recommend this property to others. I would say the photos do make it look a little bigger than it is so I am glad that 7 of us didn’t end up coming as that would have been quite a squish.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We're really glad to hear that you and your friends had a great stay, found everything clean and convenient, and enjoyed the location. We appreciate your honest note about the size as mentioned in our listing, the house can comfortably sleep and cater for up to 7 people, though we understand it might feel a bit tight for some groups. Thanks again for staying with us, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
I would highly recommend avoiding this one.The cottage is located on a busy two lane ring road with constant traffic, buses and lorries passing right by your door. They were definitely a part of our living room experience. To give a fair review the house was clean and decorated nicely as shown, but a lot smaller than the pictures make it look.Day two we get a power cut, neighbours were fine, so just this property. Over 3 hours later, still no electricity, no heating, and still nobody has shown up, we cut our losses and leave. An offer of alternative accommodation was thrown at us belatedly halfway home and days (and many emails) later token amounts vs the cost of the night lost.Three weeks later and the agent seems to be holding items left at the house hostage pending this review. What a nightmare.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found the cottage clean and nicely decorated.
For clarity for future guests, a temporary electricity issue was reported late morning and we immediately arranged for an electrician to attend the property. The property was vacated shortly before the electrician arrived and the issue was resolved later that afternoon. While the matter was being investigated we also offered nearby alternative accommodation; however, this was declined as the guests had already chosen to leave.
The cottage is in an excellent location close to Lymington High Street and many of our guests comment on how convenient it is for exploring the town and surrounding area. While the property is positioned on a road with passing traffic during the day, it benefits from noise-reducing glazing and the area becomes very quiet during the evening and overnight.
With regard to the items left behind, the property had a back-to-back booking immediately afterwards, so they could not be retrieved straight away. We informed the guest that the items would be returned by post and offered both complimentary standard postage or a tracked service at cost.
Following the stay we made several goodwill offers in an effort to resolve the matter, including alternative accommodation during the issue, a complimentary future night, and a significant refund offer relating to the second night. These offers were declined and the guest indicated that a negative review would be left if a full refund was not provided.
We believe it is important to respond transparently so that future guests have a clear and accurate picture of what occurred. We always aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly and regret that on this occasion a mutually agreeable outcome could not be reached
