About this property
Creekside setting right near downtown and Bogert Park
Location, Location!! Bozeman Creek House is a creekside oasis that is ideally situated only 3 blocks from historic downtown Bozeman. Note: no bedrooms are on the main floor, must use stairs. This lovely home was moved to its current location from North 7th Avenue in the early 90’s. For many years the home had no connection to the creek and very little exposure to the outdoors. Jacquie Love purchased the home in 2010 and fixed that with a remodel that added many windows towards the creek, a side porch and front deck, numerous modern amenities, and extensive gardens. She now lives in the new addition off the back of the house (completely separate, alley access) and travels frequently. Access to the addition is from the opposite side of the house and there are no shared spaces. If she is in town the owner is happy to answer questions and provide local info if guests ask for it, otherwise she is virtually non-existent and you'll probably never knew she's there. This arrangement has worked out very well since becoming a rental in Summer '23.
The house sleeps up to 8 people and is priced accordingly to your group size to keep the cost low for smaller groups. The rate calculator will automatically adjust the cost by $20/person per night if your group size is larger than the base occupancy rate. Base occupancy changes by the season.
Bogert Park, one of Bozeman’s nicest parks and home to the public outdoor swimming pool, is connected to miles of trails and open space for hiking and biking, and is just on the other side of the creek. A short walk over the bridge will connect you to over 80 miles of trails via the Main Street to the Mountains system. These trails are used by commuters, runners, bikers, birdwatchers, and stargazers and help make the Gallatin Valley the best place to live under the Big Sky. The park has a swimming pool, basketball and pickleball courts (no noise at the house!), a hockey/skating rink in the winter and plenty of green grass for playing with kids or furry friends.
Bozeman Creek House is on a quiet cul-de-sac, but neighbors often pass by and admire the beautiful gardens that make hanging out on the grounds so peaceful. There is a fire pit by the creek, and plenty of chairs to accommodate guests and friends. If you are looking for lots of bustling noise and late-night action, this might not be the place for you. You can, however, join in on the nightlife downtown. The owner lives in a lovely new addition on the south side of the home which has its own alley access and entrance.
You will access the home via a cozy north-side porch which is an ideal summer hangout. Upon entering, large windows, wood floors and thoughtful furnishings create a beautiful and modern setting. A large chessboard near the entrance is sure to delight all chess players. A hallway towards the back has a powder room, and in the winter ski storage is available in a back mud room.
This kitchen is a chef's paradise where you can cook while enjoying your friends and family as they sit at the kitchen bar, or take their beverage outside. Adjacent to this spacious and easy to use kitchen you will find your access to the outdoors. The east facing deck has a large dining table and grill, and you can enjoy a lovely meal in cool comfort once the sun has passed over the house. If it gets at all chilly it he evening there is a gas deck heater available for your use. In the morning, the deck is cool and the sounds of the creek create the perfect backdrop for enjoying a cup of coffee.
Heading upstairs you find a spacious and vibrantly decorated primary bedroom. Let your cares fall away as you drift off to sleep on a comfortable king sized bed. You will also find a large walk-in closet for all of your clothing and gear. On the creek side of this room, there is a nice nook for reading. Both upstairs bedroom share a newly remodeled bathroom with two vanities, bamboo cabinets and a rooftop view out of the shower! If you haven’t showered with a view before, it is a real treat. We have examined the view from nearby homes and the shower is quite private.
Also upstairs is the queen bedroom with a woodsy mural painted by fine artist Loretta Domaszewski, who is a neighbor. Adjacent to that bedroom is a workout area with free weights, exercise balls, a Bosu ball, yoga mats and a rowing machine. There is a large TV to keep you entertained while working out:) Downstairs you find a foosball table for endless entertainment!
The upstairs is also where you will find the laundry room, complete with all of the eco-friendly detergent offered by Bozeman Cottage. There is an ironing board and iron available for your use.
Heading down to the lower level, there is a very comfortable game room and TV area, foosball table, and an amazingly comfortable sofa. There is also a single Murphy-type bed as well as a twin daybed, for extra guests or children. Feel free to put beverages in the wine cooler, or enjoy snacks while you play darts. There is a foosball table, games and puzzles and plenty of room to stretch out. An extensive book collection, courtesy of Jacquie’s late husband, is available during your stay but please leave the books when you depart.
Adjacent to this spacious living area you will find another bedroom with a full bed. There is an en suite bathroom that is also accessible via the game area.
As with all Bozeman Cottage vacation rentals, this home is fully equipped with a drip style coffee maker, coffee grinder, a starter pack of fresh, local Ghost Town coffee, linens, pots/pans, cooking utensils and spice. EO brand non-toxic body products, and comes with organic coffee & grinder. We also provide extensive local info on everything from where to buy real Montana meat & locally grown vegetables to great hiking trails, rafting links to restaurant coupons. We believe in local economies and know the best places!

About the host

I work in medicine but also own a permaculture educational farm just north of Bozeman.
Why they chose this property
I like to be able to walk out the door and sit by Bridger Creek, along the trails that border this subdivision. Plus I can ride my bike to town or to the local swimming beach. I don't golf but there is a great course right across the street.
I was able to buy this townhouse and finish it just how I have always wanted. It's built to last and equipped with top of the line appliances and furnishings. It has radiant floor heat which is the only way to go in Montana winters, plus it is well insulated and has high ceilings with great light.
