About the host
Hosted by .Vu Duong
I’m a U.S. Army veteran and a long‑time traveler who has stayed in short‑term rentals across the country and around the world. Those experiences shaped the way I host today. My goal is to create homes that feel warm, practical, and thoughtfully designed for real people and real moments.
The Salish Street home is especially meaningful to me. For 17 years, my wife and I raised our three boys here—years filled with laughter, scraped knees, movie nights, and all the beautiful chaos of family life. This home gave us so much, and now we’re honored to share it with guests who can create their own memories here.
We’ve poured intention into every detail, from the open layout to the garden we continue to care for. I hope your stay is comfortable, peaceful, and memorable.

Why they chose this property
Salish Street is part of the first phase of the Sekani neighborhood, a quiet, slow‑growing community that has developed over more than 15 years. It’s a non‑HOA area where neighbors are friendly, respectful, and tend to keep to themselves. Most people stay indoors throughout the year, but the whole neighborhood comes alive on the Fourth of July or during the summer community garage sale. It’s a peaceful, steady place with a familiar, comfortable rhythm.
The location is also incredibly convenient—close to Spokane International Airport, Northern Quest Casino, Fairchild Air Force Base, and several parks, trails, and local attractions. It’s a neighborhood that balances calm living with easy access to everything you need.

What makes this property unique
This home was one of the early custom builds in the neighborhood, introducing the first open‑concept layout and the first spacious three‑car garage—features that later inspired many of the surrounding homes. To balance those upgrades, we built the front deck ourselves, adding a personal touch that has hosted countless coffees, conversations, and celebrations over the years.
Inside, the home is designed with intention: a warm, welcoming layout, thoughtful amenities, and a garden we continue to care for as part of the traditions left by the previous caretakers. Guests often mention how comfortable and inviting the space feels, and we take pride in offering a stay that blends practicality with heart.
