The home provides single level use of 3 private, comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths, a living room and spacious open concept dining, bar, island and nook gathering areas. In addition, the front porch offers friendly neighborhood people-watching and behind the house - a large, private deck with grill and dining/lounge seating.
You'll be comfortable in any weather with our AC, forced-air heating and ceiling fans. Further amenities include a laundry room with washer & dryer, fully-stocked kitchen (including instant pot), coffee bar, smart TV's, WiFi, and a desk with monitors (queen bedroom) for remote work. The King Primary Suite is a beautiful, private space boasting a split bath (make-up seating & sink vanity separate from toilet/large tiled shower area), smart TV and noise machine for sound sleeping.
Couples, families, friends - all will be comfortable in this cozy home offering multiple gathering spaces! The full main bath (tub/shower) is located between the 2 bedrooms at the front of the house (door access from the Queen bedroom as well). The Primary bed and bath is at the back of the house, off of the nook area, offering privacy to all parties. Bed and bath linens are provided, as well as extra pillows, basic soaps/shampoos/conditioner, toilet paper/paper towels/napkins.
We've recently completed the back yard area, offering covered pergola/bar seating in addition to the deck. Artificial turf provides space to play Corn Hole or Ladder Ball (available in the new Red Shed). We also offer a 4-hole putting green, a bit sloped to add a challenge!
Creating this home has been a labor of love for us... an inspiring place to gather with family & friends, making memories together. We want your stay to be as relaxing and refreshing as possible. Make yourself at home and enjoy! We love the proximity to the Centennial Trail (just 1 1/2 blocks out the front door!) where you can enjoy views of the beautiful Spokane River while walking, jogging or biking. The 63-mile trail leads you to Kendall Yards (a chic new strip of restaurants, bars and shops), then on through downtown Spokane and all the way into Coeur d'Alene, Idaho! It's super easy to get downtown and explore the many options (see our lengthy 'Recommendations' list in our on-site welcome manual)! In the fall season, drive North to Green Bluff (30 min) to explore the beautiful rolling hills and bountiful harvest offerings at multiple farms and festivals (don't miss the amazing pumpkin donuts!). Venture East to the gorgeous Coeur d'Alene area (40 min) to stroll the charming town and enjoy the lakefront parks and water/boating opportunities. North of CDA, you'll find the largest theme park in the Northwest - Silverwood (1 hr from the house) featuring rides, slides and family entertainment & attractions. Kids will also enjoy Spokane's amazing library system (a variety of themed indoor play areas), Mobius Discovery Center and the play areas in Riverfront Park. We're also just a block from an elementary school with a playground area that can be enjoyed in the off-school hours.
Guests have access to the entire home, excluding our cleaning and storage closets. We use a smart lock for simple self check-in. Help is nearby and available for guest needs. There will be added charges for guests over four ($10 per person, per night) to cover the costs of additional cleaning of linens and supplies. Maximum capacity: 6 guests.
We have recording devices on the outside of the home, front and far back, for safety and security. These cameras record video and sound, but we respect guest privacy so will only view the cameras if an issue arises during or after your stay. In the front, the camera is mounted on the left roof eave, facing the front entry. The back camera is mounted on the shed, facing the alley fence. No cameras are mounted on the inside of the house. Cameras face property access areas for safety and security. No guest areas are recorded.

This place is perfect. Location, charm, comfort, cleanliness, communication with host, etc! Host has thought of literally everything. I have stayed in a million rentals- this one is exceptional! We will absolutely be back.
Everything about this was fantastic. One of the best VRBO stays we’ve had. The place was immaculate and fun to stay at for a few days. It really made our time in Spokane special.
Overall, the house was very comfy and cozy. The heating system was easy to adjust. Kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to use. Only downfall for our stay was the neighbor dog. Woke us up before daylight a couple mornings, then again around 7-7:30 am. Very simple check in process. Thankful for the host allowing us to modify reservation for a day earlier. Our stay was all about the State basketball tournament- our Lummi Blackhawks took championship for 1B.

Tammy, I really appreciate your review and information about the barking issue. I’ve been in touch with the neighbors who are so sorry you were disturbed! They are in the process of ‘dog door training’ and assured me they will take steps to control the barking. Thanks again for your kind words!
A wonderful place to stay that was conveniently close to downtown. Owner was very responsive and everything was well stocked and organized. House was very clean and well taken care of.
Host was very accommodating and the house was very comfortable with ample seating. Had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay again!
The cleanest and most amentitized VRBO I've been in! Highly recommend! Host response is immediate and the location is perfect, easy to get around the area, close to many attractions. This is a lovely home where the owner has thought of every detail to make your stay very comfortable.
Absolutely one of the best places we've ever stayed. Comfortable and well laid out with everything we could ever need. Beautifully decorated and all the little touches to make it livable.

Thanks so much, Ellen! So glad to hear that the home met all your needs… that’s our goal! :)
This house is as beautiful as the pictures. The owners have thought of absolutely everything. This was one of the nicest stays. We came from Ca for a wedding. It was a long drive and this was an amazing place to stay.
This house is even better than what’s listed! Super cute!! Super clean and well stocked with anything you could need! Great communication with the host. We were within walking distance to family which made this even better! Will book this again in the future. A rating for sure!
We had such a wonderful stay here, the house was perfect for our girls weekend, we had a wonderful time. So many thoughtful touches throughout, such a cute neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
Comfortable, warm, cozy. We needed a place to stay while attending our daughter’s graduation from Gonzaga. This was a perfect place to stay and celebrate her accomplishments. Highest recommendation!
Great stay with nice amenities. Great location for us to access basketball camps, Hoopfest, breweries and outdoor pools. Had everything we needed in kitchens, bathrooms, everything! Neighborhood made us nervous when we pulled up in our newer car and felt a little out of place but ended up being totally fine and we even enjoyed some evening walks.

About the host
Hosted by Suzie McFadden
Hello! We are empty nesters who jumped into renovating this 1905 classic craftsman home, adding the back portion and deck as new construction. It's been a labor of love (with lots of sweat & grime) along the way, but we are thrilled with the final outcome and excited to share it with others!
Why they chose this property
We have grown kids who live in this neighborhood, offering lots of opportunities to connect and make memories. The West Central neighborhood is friendly and laid back, full of character and originality. The proximity to the Centennial Trail is amazing - we're just steps away from sunsets and the Spokane River views on this safe, wide path that takes us to Kendall Yards, on to downtown and beyond. It's also quick and easy to get downtown, get to I-90 or venture North to shopping or Green Bluff.
What makes this property unique
From the front porch to the back deck, we have been intentional about creating pockets of gathering spaces - seating that encourages connection between people. Beyond what you plan for, it seems that spaces often have a 'feel' to them and we have found this home to have a comfortable, welcoming vibe... good juju as we like to call it! We hope you love the home as much as we do.
