This was the second time staying here. The house and property have some updates since last year but there were no issues with anything either time we stayed. I would recommend this location to family and friends.

As soon as we opened the door we loved it. Clean and very roomy. Nice big deck which was raised and the view was just gorgeous especially at sunsets. I did have the opportunity to meet the owners and they were so kind and friendly. Kudo’s to the owners.

Great spot to relax!

The property was exactly as advertised. Comfortable, clean, and super cute! Fishing was excellent and the deck was a great spot to read, relax and watch the boats go by! My partner and I had a really great week!

Clean, Cozy, Convenient

My husband and I stayed for our annual trip tubing in the Glennie area. We found this cozy cottage very convenient, clean and perfect for our stay. Dinners on the deck were very relaxing overlooking the lake. Great communication for check in and check. Quick and helpful communication as needed. Hosts were very accommodating. Thank you for a great stay!

Lake vacation

This was the best Vrbo rental we’ve had! The home came with everything that we needed for cooking and grilling. We loved the lake and the fire pit. Glad that we brought a Porto-Loo for the ground access. Fishing was great as well. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place was for us. I hope we can come back soon!

We had a lovely stay at the property. We brought our boat and used the available dock. Although the lake is quite small we were able to do some wakeboarding and everything we'd want to do. This is certainly one of the most peaceful lakes we've stayed on. The lake itself is quite protected so it is very calm even with boat traffic. I was able to paddleboard and just lounge in the water and not be tossed about. The house is what you'd expect of a lake cottage. Functional and clean. We spent most of our time on the large deck overlooking the lake.

Cozy lake getaway

We stayed June 20-25. The house was in great condition and had basic amenities. Excellent communication with the host. The boat launch was also in great condition and just a quick boat ride to get there. The only recommendation I can think of is outdoor lighting around the grill area and deck! We will definitely book again!!! :)

Great view, lakefront

Very clean and recently updated. Had all the basic amenities you would need. No wifi or cable but it work fine for us. It's a place you would spend most time outside. Close to town if you need supplies. Neighborhood is friendly. Canoe and kayak rentals are close, which we used but they are seasonal. Maybe this host will supply them in the future. Nice golf course close by. Local attractions are short drive and Oscoda is about 30 min drive. Very relaxing weekend for us. The deck view is why this place stands out. Would stay again.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. There will be 4 kayaks and a row boat that will be on sight for guests to use starting April 2024 as well as WIFI. There is also a pontoon boat with a gas motor that is available to rent. We have two more "muck mats" that are going in this fall. It gives the swim area of the lake a clean no weeds feel. Would love to have you come back and enjoy.

We have enjoyed our cottage with our family, children and friends for over 40 years. We all still love to visit but since everyone has moved to other areas of the country we have not been able to enjoy it as much as we have in the past. We hope that you can enjoy it and make memories like we have for so many years. We have loved fishing, swimming, boating, nearby golfing, tubing and canoeing the AuSable and the quaint town for years!

This is a small town feel with neighbors that have felt like family for years. It is quiet and serene. The perfect place to unwind and relax. Enjoy beautiful sunsets on the deck or talk a walk around the neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

North Lake is a spring fed lake that is perfect for fishing, swimming and boating. Bring your own boat or consider renting ours and visit the sandbar!
We highly recommend s'mores at the bon fire and grilling out.
No trip would be complete with out the Glennie Bar's famous cheeseburger and fries!
