About this property
A typical 19th-century Sicilian dimora with tuff finishes and stunning view
The villa offers a typical Sicilian character and an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The rooms are pleasant, well furnished with refined finishes in exposed tuff. They all have a brand new AC system, wi-fi connection and adjacent bathrooms. Aside from the stunning view over the Egadi islands, Erice and Mothia, the location is 2.6 Km away from the city center, the sea, salt farms and wineries (Donnafugata, Pellegrino, Florio, Fina, de Bartoli, Martinez and many more) . The property is an ideal place to start your tour of Western Sicily. Landscape excursions can start with the salt farms (2.5 km away), the historical island of Mothia (3 km away), the ancient archeological sites of Segesta (40 minute drive), and Selinunte (45 minute drive), the medieval village of Erice or sailing to the Egadi islands : Favignana with its tuna farm, or the trekking to the Norman fortress of Santa Caterina, the discovery of the historic quarries which characterize the island; a tour to Levanzo island, fishermen's village famous for the presence of the prehistoric graffiti, a tour to Marettimo island to discover its caves and the castle of Punta Troia. You may also wish to experience wine tasting tours exploring the winery routes or simply enjoy the beautiful mediterranean nature surrounded by the greenery of the beautiful 1000 square meter garden. The dimora was owned in 1800 by ceramic tile manufacturers and some swirling patterns, vibrant colours, and ancient designs are still visible in the house. A stroll down in downtown Marsala with an aperitivo stop at Le 5 Palme, or a sunset view either from the top terrace or from Capo Boeo will make your stay unforgettable. The

Wonderful stay at Villa Sparta - this is a gem; a beautiful historic house with exquisite Sicilian charm. All rooms offer the comfort of en suite bathrooms and the kitchen is very well equipped. The large garden at the back is a perfect meeting point for breakfast and you can enjoy great sunsets over Marsala, Stagnone, Monte Erice and the Egadi islands. We were a group of 11 and the owners have been very accommodating and we had a wonderful time being there a week. Onsite secure parking. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
