We loved our stay! Everything you need was there, heated house before arrive, jacuzzi was ready to use, and cozy atmosphere made us feel welcoming. We’ll definitely come back again!
Perfect weekday getaway with our two youngest and dog. Place was perfect, quiet during the week. Kids enjoyed being outdoors and took advantage of the weather with a some fishing and a few hikes.
Our 2nd time staying here...and we will be back. The proximity to the slopes makes this ideal, just a short walk. Cozy cabin, well stocked, plus a spa. Host is very personable with great communication and response times.
Fantastic property walking distance to ski resort. Cottage was clean and cozy. Property manager Bri was exceptional-- fantastic communication and flexibility on arrival time. All around great experience, will be returning soon.
Great location. Right near snow summit. Plenty of room for the three of us. The cabin was cute but dark and a bit outdated. The outdoor spa was great. The best part is the location. It was close to everything. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Cozy Cabin for Ski Weekend!
I was pleasantly surprised how close it was to Mt. Summit. It was literally 2 blocks away. The wifi connection was great, which was a real plus for my family. We also really enjoyed the large hot tub. The heater in the bathroom was a nice feature as well. We would definitely recommend for those looking for a cozy ski getaway.

Family Weekend
This property was amazing!!! Surprisingly Spacious with bathroom, kitchen and a good size living room for gathering all downstairs, and upstairs the loft with bunk beds with an amazing view, and a bedroom with a comfy queen bed. It was a perfect setting for the four of us! So close to the lift and to end the day right, after a full day on the lifts, there's the spa! We will definitely be going back to this cozy Cul-de-sac home in Big Bear! Thank you Judd!

Thanks for your kind words Annie. I am so glad you guys had a good time and look forward to having you stay again in the future!
This cute little cabin is perfect for those who just need a base camp for activities
The host of the property, Bri, is wonderful. Great communication throughout. She was amazing!!
Being able to bring our pets was the best perk here.
The kitchen is not quite as “stocked” as I needed, but we made do.
The only thing I would change, is having people put the dishes away.
We found dirty silverware and glasses in the cupboard
Would consider staying here again for sure.
Thank you
Vintage cabin. I get what they’re doing with a Christmas theme. But the Christmas tree in the middle kinda makes it crowded. It’s a little dusty , scattered cob webs. The kitchen is really dark and had lots of left over food like someone lives there. I would not recommend this for families with small children as the fire place is a sunken and awkward. The hot tub was great after skiing. It’s a bit of a walk with gear to the slope but depending on your cardio it’s doable. Over all fine.
Upon check-in with our great host Bri we were shown a super cute house as close as you can get to Snow summit. The house is an original Hunter's cabin with a unique below level fireplace. It is bare Bones and simple with both bedrooms upstairs and only one bathroom downstairs. I don't believe there was a washing machine but for our short trip we didn't need it. If your goal is to hit the slopes, you can cut through Switzerland avenue straight into the parking lot of Snow summit. Recommend this for one to four people. Max
We had a great time, it was warm and cozy and walkable to the slopes. Jacuzzi was hot and clean. Keep your dogs on leash, even in the fenced in yard, coyotes in the area. We had many warnings from neighbors
We had a very nice and relaxing weekend at the cabin. My dogs really loved it. It's very close to the village and the lake. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need. It's very comfortable.
It was perfect for when we went! Check in was great and communication was on point! The area was very quiet and in a cul de sac. The hot tub was clean and so nice!
My only issue was my son burned his hand on the wall heater up stairs because it was on when we got there (they tried to warm up the cabin for us, which was nice) but I don't turn those on for that reason lol. Otherwise, it was a great stay 😊
My dad and I had a great time in this cabin, the manager was super friendly. The place is clean and spacious, it’s got everything you need. The best part was being able to walk to Summit so we didn’t have to worry about parking and changing at the house was really nice. Definitely would recommend and hope to be back here soon!
This location is fantastically close to Snow Summit but also on a quiet Cul de Sac. The house is warm and comfortable, carpeted throughout. We cooked several meals with the kitchen being well stocked. The Jacuzzi was great and easy to operate. Overall a no hassle weekend for my family.
This cabin is just wonderful for ski vacation.
You can walk to Snow summit so you don't have to deal with parking traffic. If you're tired, just walk cabin and take nice jacuzzi bath!!
The cabin has all basic stuff.
I loved their fire pit. Thank you for hosting us again!
This property is the perfect place to stay to hit the slopes of Snow Summit. It’s walking distance to the slopes which made it so convenient that we came back for a lunch break each day to re group then back to the slopes. The home itself is very cozy with a large couch for lounging. The backyard is fenced which was ideal for our two mini schnauzers. The jacuzzi is very nice and was so helpful for our sore muscles. The only thing I would say could be approved upon is the cleanliness, particularly the dust build up. Overall, we had a great stay.
Cute little cabin stocked with everything you need. We loved the fireplace. You do need to bring your own wood, but that wasn't a problem. There are plenty of heating options to keep you warm and the hot tub was a great amenity to have. We would love to stay here again in the future.
Amazing location. Beautiful cabin with all your basics needs.
Will definitely come back. Friendly and accommodating host! Perfect location for fun at snow summit. Quiet and clean.

About the host
Hosted by Judsen Gundersen
My name is Judd Gundersen and I own this cabin with my wife Christine. Christine originally purchased this cabin while we were first dating in 2007. Today, we are married and have a 13 year old son. Our son has been spending time at the cabin with us since he was 2 weeks old.
After purchasing the cabin our first order of business was to make the yard dog friendly. Our three dogs now enjoy the fenced backyard as well as the many dog friendly activities that the area has to offer.
We try to spend as much time as possible in Big Bear. We usually find ourselves spending more time during the summer at the cabin to escape the heat of Las Vegas, our current home.
While at the cabin we enjoy Snowboarding, hiking, boating, fishing, riding motorcycles and ATVs and dining at the many great restaurants in the area.
Why they chose this property
Living in Las Vegas made Christine miss the green landscape of the east coast. She decided to look for property in Big Bear because it has something to offer during all four seasons.
What makes this property unique
We looked at many cabins in Big Bear but were absolutely sold on this one. We loved the sunken fireplace, the recessed lot, the close proximity to Snow Summit and the available trailer parking during the summer.
