Beauty, comfort, and everything you need, feels like home!

Location was amazing, the scenery was beautiful and the condo was perfect! Everything was described perfectly, so clean and literally felt like home. The parking is exactly as described and the experience with the resort staff was the best. We did not want to leave to come home, the entire family loved it and we will definitely be back! The owners were fantastic!

Great Stay!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our quick weekend getaway. The place is amazingly comfortable, clean and true to its listing. The hosts had great information both in the unit and via emailsThey sent. It was very windy so we couldn’t enjoy the balcony, but outside of that we loved everything about the property.

Wonderful mountain getaway

We had such a wonderful vacation away from home thanks to the comfort/coziness of the suite! Our kids begged everyday to go to the heated pool area and jacuzzi. The pool overlooks the mountains and ski resort which was such a cool feeling to be warm in a pool while watching people ski/snowboard down a snowy mountain. The view from the room was magical - the balcony overlooks the sunrise which was a joy to witness every day. We highly recommend and will definitely come back on our next trip!

Gorgeous Views

Home away from Home!

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning and were exhausted. The condo is so well prepared for guests which was such a blessing after driving. We loved the views. Property location was great. Overall, we really liked it. In the kitchen would've liked cookie sheets and a regular toaster, but made do just fine. Mostly a very nice setup. Inside kitchen drawers weren't very clean and there were hairs in the bathroom. Other than that, pretty clean. Only complaint really (and i don't know that anything can be done about it) is the limited amount of hot water.Overall, a very nice stay and we would go back.

Beautiful Views

The condo is immaculate, spacious, and well equipped. For a mountain stay with wonderful views this condo will fit the bill. For better proximity to Sugar Mountain ski area and dining you’re better to find something down from the mountain top.

Cozy and immaculate condo

We can tell that Tina and Norm take great pride in their property. The condo is well laid out, perfectly clean and nicely updated with everything that we needed. We felt very comfortable relaxing in the condo after a long day on the slopes, and would not hesitate to recommend staying there. (I do have to say that their condo is not reflective of the Sugar Top building itself, which definitely could use some updating, and streamlining with the parking lot shuttles. )

Beautiful condo on top of Sugar Mountain!

Nicely appointed, clean, bright and comfortable. The condo has all necessities (and more) for a comfortable stay. Beds are super comfy. Bathrooms have nice bathtubs. Everything was clean. The views from each bedroom and the balcony are incredible. The staff at the condo building, the shuttle drivers and parking security were all friendly and helpful.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our get away to Sugar Mountain. Got a break for the intense heat in Eastern NC. Our condo was nice and clean with everything we needed available to us. Everything worked great and was up to date and the bed was very comfortable. The mountain views and scenery were fantastic. Check in was smooth and the shuttle to parking system, while a little aggravating was no problem. Shuttle drivers were very accommodating and friendly and got some great local restaurant suggestions from one of our drivers. I highly recommend this condo and location for a nice mountain get away and plan to come back in the future.

Perfect sugar mountain stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo! It was our second time at Sugar top and while we enjoyed our last stay, this one was even better. It’s felt crisp, clean and cozy. Tina was prompt and helpful. The room Was sticked With coffee and hot cocoa which was such a nice touch because we were freezing when we got in and didn’t have any groceries with us. The throw blankets were our favorite. Silly little things that really make a place cozy! Also the master bed was great. When we first climbed in I was a little uncertain because it was very firm but I’m literally asking Tina for the type of bed because we woke up feeling great. We will be back for sure ❤️

Beautiful Condo!

My family and I stayed here for our annual North Carolina ski trip. The online description was 100% accurate and we so enjoyed our stay at Sugar Top and this condo. Our favorite things about the condo were the view (when present), having two beds in the second bedroom, the washer/dryer in property, the electric fireplace, and the pool/hot tub. The only things that we felt were missing were a coat rack in the entryway (for ski/winter gear) and a dresser in the master bedroom and maybe in the closet in the second bedroom. We were there for a week and would have loved more dresser/drawer space for our clothes. These few things aside, it was a gorgeous property and we had a most magical stay!

Great visit over MLK weekend

This was our first time visiting the area, and SugarTop and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort were great! The condo was perfect - it had everything we needed with kitchen items, plenty of fresh towels, comfortable beds, etc. And the washer/dryer in the unit and electric fireplace made it even better! We utilized the pool and hot tub, too, which was a great bonus. The only downside was the parking - since there was a winter storm, the upper parking lot was iced over and they wouldn’t let us park up there, so we had to park in the lower lots. But that’s not the fault of the owners - just something to take into consideration! Also, I’d recommend avoiding holiday weekends if at all possible because the ski resort was insane on Saturday/Sunday :) But overall, we had a great time!

Beautiful view

We stayed here for a short weekend getaway. It was great. The condo was beautiful and clean. The view is amazing. We stayed in August, weather was great but still a little warm. Take note there is no A/C in the building. So if you like to sleep at 68 degrees like my husband don’t go in the heat of summer. We slept with the windows open and I was comfortable but he was a little warmer than he’d have liked. Parking is a little aggravating because you have to park in a lot and let a shuttle bring you up to the building. They are very quick and run 24/7 but still a little aggravating. The hot tub was not hot at all and the front desk said they couldn’t help so that was a bummer. Overall it was a great visit and we’d definitely stay again!

Not Luxury when it comes to taking a hot shower....cause you can't!

We planned to stay here from Sunday through Friday but had to leave Wednesday. I would assume that I would have the same type of amenities as I would at home, but this is not the case for people that like to take a hot shower after playing hard all day and people with allergies. This unit ONLY sets the water heater to a low 120 degrees for some EPA crap. This does not allow for steam to be created when a person is suffering from allergies and trying to clear out their sinus issues. Owners’ response.... there is a jacuzzi and sauna..ummm...allergies are worse at night Tina!!...Never would I have to think to ask what is your water temp set to. Thanks for ruining our trip, Tina! And let’s add to it that it took Tina over 24 hours to respond to my questions when I was not happy to find out the water heater is set low. Do not stay here if you like hot showers. We have stayed at several VRBO type places, and this is a first and a last to stay at Tinas’ place.

Wonderful snowy getaway!

This condo was perfect for a weekend getaway with our 6 year old daughter. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and despite the unexpected chaos, everyone was very accommodating and helpful with getting too and from the parking lot and making sure we had all we needed. The condo was very clean, and met all of our expectations. It felt like home for the short time we were there! The highlight was waking up to the most incredible sunrise over a snow covered Grandfather mountain our last morning. The front desk lady even told us we would have one of the best views in the building, and she was right!

Wonderful!

What a wonderful and amazing place to stay. The sunrise over Grandfather mountain was spectacular. We even got to see some snow flurries. The condo was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the small towns nearby and we fell in love with Sugar Mountain,Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We hope to make a trip back soon!
