The setting is quiet and peaceful....... the ocean washing along the shore will certainly lull you to sleep and will be the first sound you hear in the morning when you wake. Start your days walking on the rocky shore enjoying the vast views of Pigeon Hill Bay including local lobster fishermen hauling their traps just feet from the cottage. The Petit Manan Lighthouse can be seen in the distance and the fog horn can be heard. In the evening enjoy the fire pit located on the edge of the shore. This is Maine, The Way Life Should Be..... The cottage offers a main bedroom with a queen bed. The loft accessed by spiral stairs, has four twin beds. The loft also has a window air conditioner for your comfort.
Just minutes from the cottage enjoy a short hike to the top of Pigeon Hill. Once you crest the top, you can see for miles. A perfect spot for a picnic and great photo opportunities! If you prefer bird watching or happening upon a deer or rabbit, a great hike along the Hollinsworth Trail on Petit Manan Point is in order. While there, visit All Souls Chapel. Services are led by local residents and held on Sundays. (Seasonal)
Save a few hours to enjoy a boat ride to Petit Manan Lighthouse located two miles off shore. Daily boat tours leave from Back Shore Road (Acadia Puffin Tours) which is a 5 minute drive from the cottage.
Bring your kayaks, canoes, paddle boards etc. The bay is a great place to explore. It is tidal which means the tide will go in and out, changing every six hours.
Take a day trip to explore one of the nation's most beloved parks, Acadia National Park, (approximately 1 hour drive). Acadia at Schoodic Peninsula is a shorter drive, approximately 40 minutes. Both offer hiking trails through the forest or rocky shorelines. Bar Harbor hosts many restaurants and shops; a great place to spend the day.
The neighboring town of Milbridge has several restaurants and other stores to supply you will everything you may need during your stay. We look forward to hearing from you.

The cabin was clean and cozy and had just the right feel. We loved the back yard! My kids were out on the beach almost everday looking for seaglass and they found quite a bit. We made friends with a special deer that came to visit us in the backyard as well. Wanda was one of the best hosts we've had! She was very kind and informative! We hope to be able to come back for another visit in the future
Our cottage was beautiful, very clean and felt like being home. The area is very peaceful and quiet with a great view of the ocean. Our hostess was friendly and helpful. We loved our visit and most likely return.
This is our second time staying at this house. The property is perfect for a couple, clean, wonderful ocean view, comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we will never stay here again, the property manager sent us numerous text regarding " residual moisture on clean dishes ". This really soured the experience.
This cottage was exceptionally clean. It was in a quiet beautiful location on the water a great place to relax. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Hiking trails were just down the road and Acadia Schoodiac was about a half an hour away.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We absolutely loved this little cottage. It is situated near the water and in a quiet area with wonderful views! Host did an amazing job of keeping in touch with us and gave us lots of great information about the area as we were first-time visitors to Maine.
A beautiful cottage on the beach. Very relaxing. A great place to watch the tides. Easy driving distance to other destinations like Bar Harbor and Lubec.

Thanks for taking great care of our cottage.... we appreciate it!
Beautiful location on an incredibly peaceful inlet. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the Maine coast scenery away from all of the crowds in Acadia. The cottage is very clean and well furnished, lots of good advice from Wanda on where to get food and hiking in the area.

Absolutely loved the cottage and the amazing scenery.
Couldn’t have asked for a more amazing home base.
Host was quick to respond and had the place clean for us from the get go.
We loved the privacy and will be back !
The cabin was great and located in a beautiful area. There were lots of outdoor activities, shops and cute restaurants nearby. A true Maine experience. We will definitely be back!!
We enjoyed the property. It was perfect for the two of us, clean, tidy and in a very nice location. The only improvements we would like to see would be a dishwasher and a king size bed, but washing a dish by hand for a week is fine and you can't complain to much about sleeping a little closer to your spouse.
This is a great cottage and property! So lovingly cared for. Had everything we needed. Beautiful sunrises on the beach, amazing stars at night! We hope to return!!
We stayed at the Who New cottage for our honeymoon, and it was perfect. Everything was clean and pristine when we arrived, and we had everything we needed. It's very private on the waterfront side and has great proximity to some beautiful hikes. We reccomend it highly!

Yay!!! So happy you enjoyed your time there... hoping to hear from you for a future visit! Thank you
Quiet side of life on the Maine Coast did not disappoint!
Plenty of local trails and sites to take in. Beautiful views over morning coffee or evening beverages! Property manager offered many great recommendations and was helpful for any needs. Strongly recommend if you are looking to get away from the tourist crowds, yet still close to explore Acadia and many of the other coastal trails and popular attractions.
This cottage was very clean and well stocked. It's a simple but roomy cottage with spectacular views and relaxing atmosphere. It's close to Acadia and Bar Harbor yet away from the hustle and bustle. Our kids loved exploring the beach in the mornings at low tide and I enjoyed my morning coffee with the quiet lapping of the waves. The stargazing here is overwhelmingly spectacular
Our stay at this cottage was outstanding. Return trips are like coming home and we can’t wait for our third stay. The property is exactly as described and pictured. Wanda ensured that our stay was relaxing. This is a great place for a couple, friends, or family.
My wife and I wanted to enjoy the Fall weather and the changing of the leaves. Well, we were blessed on both counts—60 degrees and the most beautiful reds, oranges and yellows filled our view. In addition, this little hideaway was serene and somehow management was able to arrange a welcome party of a porcupine and a doe! Simply beautiful!

Why they chose this property
This property has been in my family for 3 generations. I lobster fished right out front when I was going through school. I know all the locals in the area. These people work hard on the water and you should come watch. It is so relaxing to see the boats out hauling traps.
What makes this property unique
What really makes me love this home is having the windows cracked at night. Listen to the waves hitting the shore with the peepers in the back ground. Oh, yea. then there is good ol' Petit Manan light house fog horn off in the distance. Man, that is it, you're out for a great night sleep.
