The village of Green Mountain Falls is one of Colorado’s premier family vacation spots. Trout fishing, mountain climbing, hiking, shopping or dining, swimming, horseback riding or just relaxing with the wild life is the essence of a great family vacation. The hospitality of this village is second to none. Our cabin, located at 10915 Iona, has been in our family for many years – mostly used as a 2nd home – a summer get-a-way. It has a panoramic view; yet it is snuggled in the mountains for that true mountain feel. The view from the living room, outside deck and back yard encompasses the entire valley below. Wildlife is abundant and several hiking trails are close to the house. For entertainment, there is a dance-dance machine…just like the ones you have seen in the mall; a shuffleboard game table, and various games, movies, puzzles and books. You will enjoy a small fishing lake with a gazebo located right in the middle of the downtown area, among the shops, great restaurants and cafes. It is close to Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, and Pikes Peak. There are a multitude of activities all around the Green Mountain Falls area. The town is known for the beautiful Falls – which is a short hike to the first set of Falls, or you can do a longer hike to the second set of Falls. There is a lovely public outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts just around the corner from the small lake located in the center of the village. This cabin is ideally suited for family reunions, scrapbooking, birthday parties, business retreats, weddings, wedding anniversaries, honeymoons, Air Force graduations, or any other special occasion. You can enjoy the cooler climate at an elevation of 8,700 ft. surrounded by aspens, pines and interesting wildlife. You will be just minutes away from all of the Pikes Peak region attractions such as Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Seven Falls, and the famous Flying W Ranch. The Royal Gorge and river rafting are only an hour drive and the historic mining town of Cripple Creek is only 35 miles away. There are bountiful activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, antique shopping, museums, and fine arts. We know you will enjoy your visit to this beautiful mountain village.

We had a great time staying in this cabin. It was cozy and relaxing. The location was so fun being on the side of the mountain. It was quiet and the trails nearby were a favorite! The cabin had everything we needed for our stay.
Clean, comfortable, everything we needed, a true home away from home. Family of 4 had lots of room to spread out. Great location for a short drive to all of the attractions. Beds were super comfortable! Plenty of linens. Kids loved playing dance dance revolution. Easy and best check out process we have experienced. A great stay!
Check in was easy. The view was amazing. The road and driveway were steep but we didn't have any issues getting to and from the property. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and the beautiful weather, waterfalls, and the Frank and Betty trail. The cozy cabin worked great for our family.
Great property and location! Fast internet and awesome game room. Close to hiking trails and plenty of space.

Thank-you for your nice review of our Colorado Joyse. We are glad you enjoyed your stay; and appreciate you taking the time to write this review
Perhaps we will have the opportunity to serve your group in the future fior a return visit!
We needed a last-minute stay for our family trip, and we were hesitant based off the pictures, but we chose it regardless and we were All so thankful we did. We were in awe of the view, the location, everything. It is not far from all attractions and Walmart is close by. It was perfect for our small family. There are a few items that may need to be touched up, like the grass along the walkway, a small deep clean but Nothing that held us back from enjoying the stay. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay at this cozy but roomy mountain home! Two families with a total of 5 kids enjoyed our Thanksgiving weekend in this perfect house for a family get together. LOVED the basement for the kids to have their own space to play and sleep. The view was spectacular and we even had deer hanging out in the yard. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a mountain getaway!
Our family had a wonderful stay at your cabin. The bedrooms and floor plan was great for all of us. Your cabin is nicely furnished. We would love to stay there again. The only drawback was the drive for our 2 vehicles. Thank you!
Our family enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of room to spread out. The children really enjoyed the games in the basement. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor area. The information book was very helpful throughout. The driveway provided the only challenging aspect of the property, but we were able to master that by the time we checked out. We would choose this house again.
The view from this property was spectacular because it was way up on a hill and open. We also loved (and used a lot!) the trail down to the paved road (Belvidere). It was much nicer than taking the road. Thanks for your responsiveness, Christy.
Exactly as advertised. Awesome view from the deck and had everything needed for a perfect long weekend
Road is a bit tight and the neighbor across the street went out of her way to offer her driveway to turn around. Very nice and so helpful.
Teenagers and young adults enjoyed the dance machine. Younger kids and older adults liked the shuffle board. Did not realize from property description that the playground was not on the property. It was quite a trek to get to the playground, so wasn't utilized as we planned. Parking issues was hidden in the additional ammenties, so didn't see that until already booked. We made it work by shuttling back and forth to downtown. Not the most convenient. All in all it was a very quiet relaxing stay. Loved the large TVs.
The property is close to Colorado Springs and many tourist attractions including Garden of The Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge and others. It is in a neighborhood, yet feels fairly secluded. The view is great. Enjoyed coffee on the deck watching the mule deer, chipmunks and birds! It appears the grounds have not been kept up recently as well as in the past. And the carpet is in need of a good cleaning or replacement. Overall, it is a great stay for a family!!
The location was great, away from traffic and very quiet. The size of the cabin is very deceiving - with two full levels and a loft there is much more room than we expected. Everything needed was there and it was clean and comfortable.
Highly recommended.
Our stay was excellent! The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and it's nice being able to wake up to fresh mountain air. The kids enjoyed having their own area to hand out and play. Watching the deer frolic from the balcony was a plus!
This is a beautiful home with lots of space for our family of ten to gather. The kids and teens loved being together in the bunk room and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped although we could find no dishwasher soap nor extra trash bags. The view from the house was gorgeous and we loved Green Mountain Fallsl.
The cabin was absolutely fantastic. Supplied with everything we needed and more. You can always tell the concern of the owner by the quality of toilet paper that they provide. Lol. We had a great time & will re rent this same property in the future.
We loved this house for our vacation. Very beautiful views from the deck. Plenty of clean sheets and towels for the stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Property is great! Nice lay out for bedrooms and kids area. Excellent view. The road is rough getting in to the property, but they graded it on the last day we were there. The neighbor to the west is grouchy, probably has had some bad experiences with parking I guess. Thanks again, great week in a great property!
We had a great stay with the kids ranging from 5-17. The house was perfectly situated for a wide range of hikes from a short walk down to the playground or longer walk to town for fishing, to a 3 hour hike to the Catamount Reservoirs- it was epic! Wildlife watching from the deck included hummingbirds, chipmunks, deer, a fawn and a fox!
We would recommend more access to cleaning supplies and paper products to make the stay more like home. And, the Roy Rogers theme was a little overwhelming, but maybe some people love it. The dance revolution was HUGE HIT and made amazing sibling memories before our oldest left the nest!
