We had an amazing stay at the rustic cabin! It was very cozy and had everything we needed! It was so peaceful by the river and the cabin was away from traffic and excess people which was so nice!
My husband and i enjoyed out peaceful and quiet stay here! It was amazing, the view was phenominal, the wild life was active and so fun to be around.
I would definitely stay here again.
This is a very quiet, private cabin away from all the hustle and bustle of normal life. We enjoyed all the property offers, including great views and evenings around a fire.
We had a fantastic time staying at the cabin. Beautiful cabin, and beautiful property. One of our favorites yet! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property, we will definitely be back!
We stayed for 2 nights, loved being outdoors around the fire, as well as on the deck overlooking the river. Cabin is nice, clean, well-stocked and I was especially impressed with the abundance of firewood and stars in the sky. I'd do this one again!
The cozy cabin exceeded our expectations, offering a more comfortable stay than a hotel. We felt right at home during our stay, and the deck's breathtaking view with surrounding lights was incredible. We're already planning our next visit. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

Really beautiful property and the deck is perfection. Property owner is very communicative and friendly. Great for a quiet retreat.
The town is very small and not a lot for options for dining and things to do in surrounding towns unless you’re like us and like outdoor activities like fishing. If you are, this location is perfect for you!
We had a great stay the Rustic Cottage. We have a 2 year old and a 5 month old and the place was very family friendly. Our 2 year old loved playing outside and we all enjoyed the deck. Having littles, the washer and dryer was a huge bonus. We will definitely be back again!
Check in was easy. Very clean property. The view was beautiful, took a kayak down the St.Louis River to the Hwy 2 Bridge. I saw swans, geese and fish jumping. The property has a rustic yet historic feel to it. The fall colors were everywhere, it was so relaxing. I would definitely stay again.
No complaints! We got the peace and quiet from city life that we were hoping for. Be aware that there IS a train that runs through the nearby small town all hours - not too frequently. The host supplied ear plugs in the bedroom drawer for lite sleepers. Their provisions were above and beyond what we have experienced as guests thus far.
The house is very clean, even with allowing pets. I appreciate that. We had an issue at check-in but it was dealt with immediately. The owners are extremely committed to making your stay the best it can be. The river was up, so it wasn't conducive to kayaking. It went down half way through the week, but we didn't try again. We spent time on the North Shore and explored the state parks. The deck over the river was a great spot for relaxing. The bed is so comfortable.

Nice property, loud neighborhood
The good-The property was very nice. Good communication with owner.
The meh- Trains running with horn several times a night. During the day there is a rock quarry nearby that has semis going in and out several times an hour.
The property is located in a very rural and quiet town. Was not expecting a town this small but that is the beauty of it. We came to this location for peace and serenity and that is exactly what we got. While it is located very close to county road/bridge, there was not much disruption.Sitting on the deck above the water was amazing, very calming and relaxing. While we didnt use any of the outside amenities (besides the kayaks) there was tons offered for use. Inside the house was nice and quaint and enough space for two people. The listing did indicate trains pass by, which we could hear all night but it wasnt anything that kept us up or was too much. It was actually very soothing. We already have plans to come up for our next stay!

We are from just outside Duluth, born and raised here. We love the outdoors! Fishing, hiking, kayaking, four wheeling and being on the water. We love nature and we fell in love with this place the moment we found it. We are so thankful and blessed to be able to share this space.
