We are just minutes way from World Wide Sportsman, Bud N Mary's,theater of the Sea, Snappers, Holiday Isle, both Snake & Taverneir Creek and many other fine bars and restaurants.

Wonderful property. Views to die for.

My group and I loved this tavenier home in so many ways. The location and views are incredible. The layout can accommodate a variety of options. The large pool is a lifesaver after a long day on the water. We couldn’t find a flaw with the property if we tried. Great experience in Bobby’s home.

Florida Keys Heaven!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything was perfect and the setting couldn't be nicer. We never got tired of just sitting and looking at the view. This was our first trip to the keys and definitely won't be out last. Looking forward to renting this house again and again. What a jewel!

Absolutely priceless!!!!

This was our first family vacation and we all loved the house, the pool, the dock where we played with the Manatees. The owner is outstanding in everyway, communication, quick response, I could go on and on. If you want a family vacation this house is an excellent choice for that, or for anyone, not just a family. We had everything we needed without bringing or having to buy something for cooking, which we did a lot in the beautiful kitchen. We will definitely rent this house again. Thanks to the owner, he made this vacation for me and my husband, with our two grown kids and our grandkids, we were in 7th heaven all week. Thanks Bobby.

Amazing house! Perfect for 4 couples!

We stayed in April 2013 with (3) other couples. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs in main house. There is also a bedroom downstairs (which we stayed in) near the pool. The only bathroom at pool level is an outdoor toilet/shower, but we loved it. We rented a boat and fished every day, so the dock and fishing cleaning station were awesome amenities. The kitchen was well-stocked and the screened-in porch was where we spent most evenings after long afternoons in the pool. The pool was where we spent the majority of our time when not fishing. Water volleyball tournaments were a daily activity. I cannot recommend this house enough! We loved it!

Best Family Vacation Yet

We had such a great time staying here! We stayed with another family, so there were four kids and four adults. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids all bunked together in one room, so there was even a room to spare. It's very clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. The view is unreal! The location is ideal, just a few minutes to the grocery/liquor store and several great restaurants are close by. Our son, who's 8, loved snorkeling right off the properties dock and "lobster hunting" with our friends son (9). They even caught a couple. All four kids spent every day in the pool, even the 2 rainy days didn't matter. The kids swam regardless while the adults enjoyed the amazing view. The guys had a very successful fishing day and docked right at the house. We enjoyed fresh, self caught, sushi that night and took the rest to Snappers the next night where they cooked it 4 different ways, family style! The girls favorite day was spent at Theater of the Sea where they both received kisses from a dolphin and sea lion. We had such a wonderful trip, I've already recommended this place to my parents for our next family vacation.

Perfect Vacation Spot!

This house was everything we had hoped for! We stayed with 3 other couples and had an amazing time! The view is fantastic and the pool was such a treat to enjoy on the hot days. The house was beautiful and spacious and fit all of us comfortably. We spent a lot of time lounging in the pool and fishing right off the dock...we even caught a bunch of snappers! Our friend had a boat and it was so convenient to have it right in the back yard and in just a few minutes be out on the ocean. We had a lot of rain and storms on our vacation, but the covered area outside kept us from getting wet, which was great. We grilled most days but went to Chad's for sandwiches a few times, Yum! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and having a refrigerator outside/downstairs was really helpful! We did have two surprise visitors during the week...one was a previous renter who had left something at the house and another was a man replacing the chairs on the dock (which were definitely in need of replacing & kind of wish that had happened earlier in our trip because they were unusable). But everything else was just perfect. We truly enjoyed this house and we were all discussing doing it again next year. I would recommend to anyone! Thank you for having us!

Nice home

Upon arriving to the house it appears that the house is already occupied due to the owner storing a boat and vehicle in the front parking area and under the house. The vehicle and boat are well out of the way and allow for plenty of parking for tenants even with their own boat on a trailer. It was just a little confusing as we were not aware of owner storing anything in the parking area. When we arrived there was also a second boat at the residence, this one was in the water moored to the dock in the rear of the house. Owner was notified immediately and he began to investigate. He returned our call promptly to inform us that the boat was a rental left from the previous tenants. The rental company, Bump and Jump boat rentals, was supposed to have already picked up the boat. We attempted to contact Bump and Jump multiple times to remove this boat from the dock that we were planning to use for our own boat. I guess they didn't see the need to answer the phone. Previous tenants also left half full bait buckets with dead bait in them next to the downstairs refrigerator creating a serious odor around the entire back area of the house. We moved the bait buckets to the rental boat and moved the rental boat across the canal to an empty dock as instructed by the owner. The interior of the house is well outfitted and tastefully decorated. Our only complaint with the interior was the condition of the cookware in the kitchen, time for new skillets/pots and pans. We ended up using cookware from our boat in the kitchen. The grill on the lower level was well below expectations. Electrical outlets on the dock did not work. We did have a constant shortage of refrigerator space due to the condition/smell of the outdoor fridge. I understand it is a bait fridge, but a second fridge for adult beverages and such would be very beneficial on the lower level. The house is located in a great area for boating/fishing and local restaurants. There is a large ice vending machine just outside the neighborhood. A major plus for us was the amount of parking to accommodate a trailer.

Amazing House

My family and I rented this beautiful home for my husband's 60th birthday. We had our three adult children, two of their spouses, and three small grandchildren. The house was plenty spacious and had all of the amenities you could ask for. The upper level of the house had three bedrooms: (1) master king bedroom with a full bathroom and large shower; (2) king bedroom; and (3) queen bedroom with a bunk bed. There was also a hall bathroom. All of the bedrooms had nice linens and pillows and the bathrooms all had plenty of towels. The bed in the master bedroom was not terribly comfortable, but not bad. The kitchen had a very large counter that was great for making and serving large meals. The refrigerator and freezer were full-sized and there was a full sized washer and dryer next to the kitchen, which was incredibly convenient. The house came with a few rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and a few rolls of paper towels in the kitchen. The living room had a huge sofa and a 6-person high top dining room table--so plenty of seating. The lower level had a separate king bedroom with a bunk bed. The room had two outside doors: one to the front of the house and one that opened up to the pool. The downstairs room was not part of the central a/c for the house so there was a window unit and a dehumidifier. The only complaints we had about the downstairs bedroom were that the dehumidifier was very loud so we kept it off and the room did not have a closet or much dresser storage. Other than that, the room was very convenient because we were right by the pool and also right by a second downstairs refrigerator/freezer where we kept drinks and snacks. There was a downstairs bathroom that included an outside sink, outside toilet, and outside shower. As an FYI, the downstairs shower only had cold water so we took most of our showers upstairs. The house is right on the water and the views are breathtaking. We fished off the dock and caught tons of medium sized grunts, pin fish, etc. (using live shrimp as bait). We also spent most days in the heated pool. The house comes stocked with pool floats (noodles) and some buckets, etc. for the kids to play with. We didn't know this and brought our own float and toys, but would not bring our own stuff next time. All in all, the house was beautiful, spacious, well-maintained, and was absolutely perfect for our family vacation.

Tavernier vacation

Bobby was very easy to get in touch with and made our stay wonderful. Tavernier is a great location - close to shopping, restaurants , activities with easy access by boat to the ocean and bay. The house was very spacious and easily accommodated our large family. The views from the heated pool and the large ocean front screen porch were breathtaking !!

Beautiful Views

The photos just don't do this home justice. This is a beautiful home in a perfect location, and the owners have worked hard to ensure the home is ship-shape and welcoming. We had two families of 4, and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kids loved the pool, and the adults spent most mornings sipping coffee and taking in the views from the screened porch. We had easy access to all of our tourist excursions (the home is located conveniently between Key Largo and Islamorada), and we especially enjoyed frequent visits to the Original Key Lime Pie Factory. Thanks to Bobby and family for sharing their beautiful home with us. We truly savored every moment we had in the Keys.

Beautiful home - one of the best we have stayed in

The house was in great shape and the pool was absolutely perfect. Well decorated and a very good kitchen. Bedrooms were comfortable. A/C was great and the screened in upstairs porch was great for the evenings. Master bed was decent, could use a bit of an upgrade. Downstairs fridge and extra room to store rods came in handy for the boat items. The dock was still waiting for repair approval by the authorities - some sort of permitting, but was doable. Boat ramp at public park just a short drive up the street.

Great view, amazing pool, complete kitchen, room for the introverts to spread out

We loved our stay at Bobby's house. There was plenty of space to spread out for our adult children (8 adults total) and 2 toddler grandchildren. The toddlers spent hours in the heated pool. The kitchen was so well set up. There was a blender, a juicer, and plenty of pots and pans since we chose to eat in on the beautiful screened in Florida room. We had a great dinner view of the ocean and an island. There's a Winn Dixie a bit south and a Publix a bit more north. It was close enough to Key West for a day trip to Hemingway's house. Key Largo was close enough to go rent scuba gear. The Harry Harris County Park is super close and had a great playground and beach for the toddlers. Make sure you hit the History of Diving Museum a few minutes away. Well worth it. The washer and dryer worked great. There was plenty of parking on the property, and the neighborhood was super quiet. The 4th bedroom is downstairs by the pool with its own outdoor toilet, sink, and cold water shower. It was great for the baby who needed the darkest, quietest place for napping. We never felt crowded as there was so much room for all of our introverts to spread out. :) Bobby's house was a perfect spot for a wonderfully spacious and relaxing stay for our family gathering.

Beautiful waterfront property

Rented this house for my son's wedding April 6th. PROS: It is a beautiful house right on the water with a gorgeous view and a nice size pool. It was very clean when we arrived and enjoyed sitting in the spacious screened in porch. The downstairs level is great for entertaining with a nice bar, tv and seating all around. The family room area and kitchen are very spacious and comfortable and are stocked with plenty of kitchen utensils and plates. The bedrooms are good size with great closets and large beds. The bathrooms are okay, but need updating. The pool is large and was very warm as it is heated. If you turn off the heater, it is quite comfortable. The deck near the water looks brand new and is very nice to sit and relax in the adirondack chairs. CONS: A week before we were to arrive, we noticed that in the contract we were not allowed to have any one else other than the people staying at the house visit. This was very disappointing because we were there for our son's wedding and had many family and friends visiting. After a discussion with Bobby, who was very responsive to any of my questions, he agreed that it would be okay if we promised it wouldn't be a large gathering. Also there are no staples pre-stocked such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, kitchen soap or dishwasher soap. This became very costly to us as we had to purchase all of that and because we were flying home, were unable to take it with us. There was also not enough extra linens or blankets for someone wanting to use the pull out sofa. I had to use the beach towels as covers. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at this property. It is beautiful, had a great time and if you are looking for a private oceanfront property, this is it. I would definitely stay here again and bring a boat next time.

What a magical place!

Vacation in Keys -2017

I have lived in Florida for 38 years and have enjoyed MANY vacation spots while living here but none of them have compared to my stay, with friends from South Africa, in this vacation home in the Florida Keys. It was clean, private, and I felt like I was actually in someone's home rather than a rental destination where new people rotate through each week. The reservation was flawless, the owners quickly responded to questions I had - the home is spacious and beautiful with a glorious view no matter the weather. The Pool and screened in porch were additional drawing points. I HIGHLY recommend this home if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation - I will definitely be going back.....thank you for opening your dream home up to others....It is my new "Favorite place.:-)

Very enjoyable stay here in Tavernier

You need to read all the reviews. I can't add much to them. The pictures of the property are exactly what the property looks like and all the reviews are accurate. The house is very comfortable and we have really enjoyed our stay. After 8 weeks of great weather we have to drive home tomorrow. We have already booked for next Jan and Feb. Abel takes great care of the pool and the grounds are very well maintained. We rode bikes through every neighborhood 5 mile north and 5 south and this house is in one of the nicest. It is quiet and accessible to everything. Bobby is really good to work with. Thanks.

Best Christmas our family has had in a long time!!! GORGEOUS HOUSE, GORGEOUS VIEWS!!!

We stayed in this house over Christmas and New Years with our large family of 12 people. We never felt crowded and the house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a large gathering and multiple dinners. The location is perfect, we walked to almost everything from restaraunts, grocery store, CVS, and even a few Bars. The pool is large and heated, even though we didn't need to heat it but 1 time. The kids loved fishing in the canal and caught some big fish (even a nurse shark and a morey eel). The owners were great to work with and have the house decorated to the 10's. Can't wait to celebrate in this home again soon, thank you again for such a wonderful and comfortable vacation.

Perfect Vacation with Grandkids

We spent a week with here in December with our children and grandkids. The house is beautiful, spotless and comfortable, and the pool is heated! The owner even provided us with pool toys and beach towels. We hope to return soon. Our favorite night out was dinner at Lorelei in Islamorada, watching the magician Michael Trixx. We also enjoyed feeding the tarpon at Robbie's, but the pelicans are very aggressive.

Absolutely Perfect Vacation Spot

A group of adults came down to relax and unwind after a major work project finished up, and this spot could not have been more perfect. The house is large comfortable and allowed everyone to have some private space when and if necessary. The outdoor space is even better. The pool if amazing with both shallow and deep end and covered area with an outdoor fridge so there is not need to keep running up and down the stairs. The dock area over looking the ocean was a great place to sit at night and watch the sunrise in the morning. We did most of the cooking ourselves and the kitchen has everything you would need. Two grocery stores are a short drive. Most mornings we would up to the nearby Cuban restaurant for coffee or Cafe Moka or coffee. Perfect Location for a relaxing trip

We were very impressed with the home and the quick response when dealing with Bobby. The home is beautiful and we quickly slipped into Island life. We brought our own Kayak and had very easy access. Most of our time was spent on the bottom floor around the pool. Perfect entertaining area and the perfect amount of shade. My only advice is the deck and stairs are very slippery. Of all the homes we looked at this view was just stellar. The house is very well maintained and all of the house hold items you could think of were there. The most wonderful item being an additional fridge on the bottom floor - why waste time going up all those stairs for another drink. hehe. Truly a wonderful vacation and we will definitely return to this home.

Even better than the photographs!

We absolutely loved the house, and it's location in the keys and would highly recommend it to all our family and friends! The pool was amazing and such pretty views from the back of the house. I would recommend Harry Harris Park and Beach for anyone traveling with younger kids and it's just about 2 miles or so from the house. We loved the food at Bad Boy Burritos-fresh and delicious. I would also recommend Mrs. Mac's kitchen in Key Largo- good food and pie. We never had to contact anyone for any complaints, the place was amazing and very clean. I really hope to book this house again someday.

Best vacation ever!!!

The owner was amazing to work with and answered all my questions in a very timely manner the house was amazing the pool was breathtaking and the views were unbelievable this was by far the best vacation I've ever had I caught every fish in the sea!!!

Fantastic Vacation and Home

I can't say enough how happy we were with our vacation. Thank you for making everything go so smoothly so we could really enjoy our stay. Your home is so beautiful and the setting and view were spectacular. My kids loved the pool and loved kayaking and snorkling in the canal. My husband had plenty of room for his boat, which is always a priority for him :) We have rented numerous other home with VRBO and none as nice and clean as this. Thank you again, we will be back!

Already Booked Again!

So the first thing I want to say is the owner of this property, Bobby, is great to work with and is great at communicating with every need and helpful info that we needed. On this trip it was two families of four along with my mother-in-law and we were all very comfortable in the home. We live in central Florida so the appealing part to this home is the distance, you don't have to drive all the way down the Keys and this is also an ocean side home which is hard to find. We took our boat and your in the ocean in less than a minute and theirs plenty of dockage for your boat. As you pull up to the home it's a standard two level home as most Keys homes are, the main living area is on the second floor. There is ample parking in front as we had the boat trailer on the side with two vehicles and there was still plenty of room. Through the carport on the first level you have a door going into the first bedroom (no 2nd floor access ) but the fantastic thing about this room is it has another door in the bedroom that leads out to the back patio that has a bar/tv area, pool, decking and the boat dock. So the first bedroom is great for a multi family situation. There is also an outside toilet/shower area so your pretty self sufficient without having to go in the upstairs living area. As you make your way upstairs you walk into a large living/dining and kitchen area that has sliding doors leading into a large screened porch that we spent many evenings sitting just staring at the water. From the living room area it leads into a hallway that has three bedrooms with a bathroom. In the master bedroom you have a large king sized bed (our 4 year old slept with us and we had plenty of room) and you have a large bathroom with an over sized walk in shower. The kids enjoyed feeding the manatee from the dock and again the location of this home couldn't be anymore perfect. It's a very private street so there's no traffic, a short drive away is a Winn Dixie and a twice the ice stand alone sits in the median right by the house which is nice for filling the coolers for the boat. By boat, Tavanier Creek is within a 5-10 min boat ride that has Chris's bait and fuel which will lead you to the bay side if you want to fish that area. You also have the Islamorada sand bar close by along with many reefs to dive that are close. We had some good luck catching some Mahi-Mahi about 12-15 miles offshore. Looking forward to our trip next year!

Wonderful Experience

Our family of 6, including 2 teenage boys spent a week down in Tavernier Keys....it was BEYOND our expectations! The pictures do not do justice to how well set up the house is and the outside! It felt like walking into our own home! First time that has ever happened on our travels...we brought our boat and it was just so nice to wake up, walk outside and literally step on boat and head out for a day of fishing. Then, at the end of the day, the pool was such a nice treat... Fishing was excellent....wahoo, Dolphin, Black tuna, and to our surprise, our 16 year old hooked up on a small Marlin...so much fun watching him bring that fish to the boat! Bobby was so easy & accommodating to work with...we are planning our next visit in 2016!!

It is very hard to find a home in the keys that has everything we wanted. Ocean front, big pool (not a dipping pool),deep water dock (hard to find with direct oceanfront properties, in this location close to everything. We finally found it with this property.

Deep water canal on open water, open layout, screen porch as well as open patio, oversized pool, very nicely decorated, and CLEAN!
