The home was beautiful with stunning views, the host was incredibly responsive and pleasant, the kitchen and home overall was well equipped. We would 100% stay here again, thank you ;)
This is the second time we've stayed at Juniper Cottage and we enjoyed the ocean views and quiet coziness just as much as the first time. We hope to come back again.
This is a fantastic house with probably the best-stocked kitchen ever. The hosts were both very nice, accommodating, and responsive, and the property was charming and quiet, with fantastic views of the ocean. All you can eat blackberries included!
We loved our stay at Juniper Cottage. The house was warm and inviting with a well stocked kitchen. We especially loved the wood fireplace. The view is incredible.
This is a warm and welcoming home. Great location with an incredible view. We enjoyed a number of our meals sitting on the deck and soaking in the sea/ boat activity and islands view. John is a wonderful host. If I could I’d rate it higher than a 5
The cottage was perfect for our stay. It felt like our childhood cottage with whimsical decorations and lots of wooden vintage accents. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning in the morning with the sunrise. The bedrooms were comfortable and all appliances worked perfectly.
Things were fine. Place was very well looked after and lots of amenities. Though we did not take advantage of the cooking facilities, Place was large and 2 or 3 more people would definitely work.I paid a fair bit for the accommodation and really did not get all the benefits of the place considering the time of year and we went out for meals. But a lovely place.
Beautiful stay on salt spring. Property was fully equipped and the hosts had thought of everything. Unforgettable views from the front deck. A great family location (we travelled with a toddler) with everything you could need for your stay.
The property was well equipped and very comfortable making a peaceful and relaxing way to spend Christmas. Lots to explore on the island as well.

We enjoyed our time at Juniper cottage - it's very family friendly and has everything you need. John was accommodating and responsive. We've stayed here more than once already and wouldn't hesitate to return again.
Great kitchen for entertaining. The host was easy to get a hold of, good communication and made sure we had what we needed. Kids had a great time as well. Loved the fireplace and the view

Great view and lots of room.
Includes everything you need in a relaxing spot with a great view. Unfortunately beach access wasn’t available during our stay but you don’t have to drive too far to find a beach.

Hi Colin,
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately I just noticed the email that was sent to you from VRBO was incorrect. Beach access is most certainly available with a brand new walkway down to the water. It is unfortunate that you did not receive the correct information and I apologize for that. We hope to see you again.
Thanks,
John
My family and I travel to Salt Spring Island almost every year. We try different locations and accommodations all over the island. We all agree that this is our favourite to date. The house itself is beautiful with amazing attention to detail, but combine it with the location on a quiet street with lush forest and a gorgeous ocean view and it's breathtaking. We're already making plans to stay here again next year. Highly recommend!
Very pretty and quiet location with spectacular views out on the ocean! The kitchen has everything you need and brings the family together. The two bedrooms are small-ish with queen-sized beds, and the loft bed is up a ladder and for “very mobile” folks only.
Everything is well organized and easy to find. Lovely hosts, too!
4 sisters meeting from 3 provinces were awed by the setting of Juniper. We never tired of going out on the deck to eat, read and mostly soak in the amazing view! It is pure BC with mountains, ocean and ferries near and far in view.

Well equipped and clean
Lovely spacious cottage in a beautiful location. Everything we could possibly need (and more!) was provided, with comprehensive instructions. It was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the log burner and games on that first chilly evening.

Beautiful home overlooking the bay.
Clean and very pleasant. The firewood was all prepared. It rained a lot (November), but we were able to make the house cozy and enjoy our time. Kitchen utensils were available, and everything was ready to move in and relax.

We are a family of four who fell in love with Salt Spring Island. We bought the cottage with an eye to the future as our children are young and getting away from city life was important to us.
Why Salt Spring? It has a very strong sense of community and a robust set of events, shows and cultural activities. Additionally, having an island hospital was very important to our situation. Finally, if we choose to enjoy a fabulous meal there are wonderful restaurants on the island.
And the real reason...we are able to create great memories by having a second family join us. The kids love exploring the outdoors while the parents savour an adult 'playdate' over a bottle of wine?!?! Who says you have to wait until retirement!
