We enjoyed our stay here. Very nice neighborhood and close to toll and highway ramps. Home is well maintained with a large back yard and parking/driveway space. Kitchen items were not as much as we hoped but good laundry and kitchen appliances. Connecting with host was quick and friendly and accommodating.

The host was very pleasant.The home was spacious and welcoming. Very clean. It was nice having a full kitchen to cook in. It was a wonderful experience! The location was great. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Chicago was roughly a 25 min drive away. We traveled with my family, and we have small children. We would definitely book our stay here again in the future and highly recommend it to others.

We came into town for a family wedding in Oak Brook and I gave it a 4 star rating only because upon arrival we walked in and it had not been cleaned or prepared for us. We got ahold of the property manager and she sent someone out promptly and they went above and beyond. The place was very clean. Very convenient for our family and the house is in a super cute neighborhood, good for walking around. We were pleased with our stay once the error was corrected.

The house was in a nice neighborhood that was close to a lot of different things. The house was stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The beds were very com, the home was clean, and the host was very responsive.

We loved the house! Our only recommendations would be to have more chairs available for dinning room perhaps folding chairs since it sleeps 10 there should be ten seats. Also i would have loved a mop bucket to clean up after 8 kids spills happen. Overall it was nice and relaxing coming home to a house while visiting our family!!

House near family

We stayed here with several of our family members to be near our son’s family that lives in Elmhurst. The house had all the basic necessities. We had some issues that we communicated to the host, but understand that since we were visiting during the holidays, it was not easy to address them in a timely manner. I would stay here again, given the location.

The place was lovely its was a nice quiet stay. Plenty of room bathrooms were nice and clean. There is no hot tub. It says there is one online.

Downtown Elmhurst is Wonderful

Location is in a beautiful neighborhood, a short walk to many great restaurants. The house could use more pots, pans, and dishes. Also the dishwasher was broken at the time of our stay.

Great property & location

My family and I came to town for a wedding. There were 8 of us and we all slept comfortably. The property was well maintained and clean. It was close to the downtown area of Elmhurst that has a good variety of restaurants, bars, shops and a Starbucks. Only recommendation would be to have a couple of oscillating fans available in the upstairs bedrooms. The property owner was very responsive to requests. Definitely recommend the property.

Solid no frills -- and no hot tub

Very clean. Updated with good appliances, lots of hard, cold surfaces; intense industrial-style LED lighting; and polyester linens. The water never got really hot in the shower, and I had to use the upstairs one because the downstairs wouldn't drain. Also, while the host has listed this as having a hot tub, there is not one.

A Well Renovated Property with Management Issues

The house is in excellent condition, with all rooms, surfaces, appliances, etc. clearly updated in the last few years at most, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. However, there were 2 issues that diminished our stay somewhat: 1. The AC has not been updated with the rest of the home. It's an old house, with bedrooms on the top floor, so staying there during the hottest days of the summer (low of 80s overnight, 100 during the day) meant that it was unbearably hot when trying to sleep. It's understandably difficult to keep an old house cool during the summer, but the AC outside was visibly old and filthy. There are steps the host should take to ensure the comfort of guests during the summer (replace the unit, provide box fans, install window units, etc.). 2. The host, while kind and responsive, did not provide check-in details until I prompted them at 1:30pm, 30 minutes after the listed 1pm check-in time. They had previously said I would get details a couple hours before the check-in time, then blamed it on the listing being wrong since check-in was "actually" at 2pm. But that still means we did not get details (i.e. a code to the door) until 30 minutes before "actual" check-in time (not a couple hours as stated), and again because I prompted them for it. Overall, our stay was fine, and we appreciated the condition of the house (clean, modern, comfortable beds). But these two issues were significant enough to cost a couple stars to my rating.
