La Jolla Beach and Village - Contemporary and Bright
Enjoy La Jolla and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, approximately four blocks from the golden sand of Windansea Beach. The residence has central air-conditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) ! All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four in beds – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full-size beds. All mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped with dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. The living room comes with a wood -burning fireplace and there are hardwood floors throughout the unit. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. There is a full-size washer and dryer for use in the unit.
The retreat has exclusive use of a private outdoor patio in the back yard with a covered outdoor seating area, a dining table, and three sun loungers. A new BBQ has also been installed for your exclusive use. The front yard patio is for the exclusive use of the upstairs residence.
The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.
Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.
The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home.
As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental. The retreat has off-street covered parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away.

Smoking: For the comfort and safety of all our guests, smoking is strictly prohibited indoors or near the home where smoke could migrate inside.
Noise: Be considerate of neighbors, refrain from loud activities after 10:00 pm/weekdays and 11:00 pm/weekends. Please avoid noise before 8:00 am.

This stay was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. The unit was nicer than we expected from the photos, and every detail was thought through. It was well furnished and had all the basic supplies plus more, including beach towels and umbrellas. The location was perfect—only a few minutes walk to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants. It was on a lovely and quiet street with easy parking. The private backyard patio was a wonderful addition and we used it daily for meals and relaxing. We absolutely hope to return and stay here again.
The home was beautiful, comfortable, well appointed, immaculately clean and in a great location. The owner, Lisa, was terrific and very responsive. Without hesitation, we would stay here again!

Great location! Close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Beautifully decorated and very relaxing. The cleanliness and amenities provided were excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Great place that fit our family of four comfortably. The location was perfect with easy access to the beaches of La Jolla that were just a few blocks away. The whole place was well outfitted with all the necessities include beach gear. We truly enjoyed our stay!
The place is clean, well accommodated, and in a great location. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk to downtown La Jolla. Everything we wanted and needed was readily available!
Our family of four (two adults and two teen boys) had a terrific stay at this property. Lisa had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the house and on the beach which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommend for a beautiful stay in La Jolla.
This place, in a quiet neighborhood, is walking distance to almost everything in La Jolla - beaches, restaurants, the seals & sea lions, etc. Very comfortable king-sized bed and comfortable outdoor living. Highly recommend if you want to be away from the hustle & bustle of La Jolla Village, but close enough to enjoy it when you want.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is on a quiet street but an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, the farmers market, etc. It was spotless on our arrival and parking/access was easy. The home had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with Lisa was great and she is an excellent host.
It’s our second stay at Fern Glen which once again did not disappoint!! We love everything about the property and location. The host is responsive and so helpful too. Highly recommend!
We had an excellent stay at Lisa's property. Lisa was quick to respond to questions and checked in with us during our visit to see if there was anything we needed. The house was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. Proximity to the beach is a big plus. It was especially hot during our stay and the air conditioning did its job well. We were in the downstairs unit. You are able to hear the foot fall and voices of people in the unit above. The outdoor area/garden in front of the house was a nice spot to gather in the morning and late afternoon.
Lisa is an excellent host and extremely responsive and accommodating. We stayed last year as well and will definitely utilize this property in the future. Everything you need and perfect location. Easy walk to market, restaurants, and the beach. 5 stars!!!
The apartment is perfect for a family of four. The kitchen is fully stocked with supplies, beautiful back and quick walk to everything. Lisa is also so communicative. If we come back to La Jolla- we would re-book!
