The apartment was nice.

When I first rolled up on this property I was a bit concerned, but you should never judge a book ( and a building in this case) by its cover. The outside is a little rough and can use some maintenance but the apartment is definitely as advertised. It is cozy and great for one or two people. The porch and the stairs are in need of replacement. I’m not a big woman but I noticed a bit of softness in the boards.Checking in was difficult but Nichole contacted me after I messaged her with my phone number. That I appreciated so much. Overall out stay there was good.

Potential, just not ready

Upon arrival, we found the property has significant structural damage from a fallen tree. Roof smashed, front porch smashed with debris left, unusable. The exterior is unkept with dirt and webs all over. The back porch stairs we were told to use are very narrow and steep and have loose boards and a hole large enough to catch and break a heel. Overall, you can see the incomplete work throughout with unfinished door jambs, large gaps of missing drywall, nonfunctioning lights, TV with no volume control. The windows are all exposed to the neighbors and street with only blackout curtains, no privacy nets. The kitchen is furnished with used appliances that only partially work. The kitchen remodel was nicely done, sink faucet leaks. The living room is furnished with child size furnishings. The bedroom drawers were full with owners belongings, so no useable space for clothes or luggage racks to live out of cases. The bathroom tub is dirty and does not drain well, the surround shower curtain is too small for the tub and hung too low in the tub leaving it to mold. There is no place in the shower to hold soaps or shampoo. It rained the last night of our stay and, predictably the roof leaked right onto the bed at 3:00 am. As we were leaving the manager told us the next renters were due in that day, so status quo.

Tug hill weekend

Comfortable and spacious interior, especially bedroom. Nice kitchen. Easy downtown walking access. Great to be able to bring our dog. A larger sofa would be nice, especially for a longer stay.
