Cheerful Cottage on Marsh. Great location between San Francisco & Wine Country!

The Boathouse is a studio (junior one bedroom) conveniently located just 15 minutes from Sonoma or the Golden Gate Bridge. It is just a short drive to all the conveniences of downtown Novato - restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The peaceful view looking out on the marshes along the Petaluma River provides a restful spot after your Bay Area explorations.

Notes for your consideration:
~ There are a significant number of stairs to get to the cottage - about 2 stories worth.
~ The Boathouse shares a yard space with our family. We will offer you space during your stay, but ask that you are respectful with our property.
~ The Boathouse is located in a quiet, family area. Please be courteous with noise levels.
~ We are located close to hwy 37 and there is traffic noise in the background, especially when the wind is blowing in the direction of the Boathouse.

Amazing stay and fantastic host

Randi went above and beyond making sure that everything was clean and we were helped while we were there. I will absolutely be staying with them again!

Stayed for 3 weeks on a travel work trip. Everything worked properly, the hosts were pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Provided weekly cleanings, Easy parking and helpful communication.

Close by and far away simultaneously

The Boathouse was perfect for our family’s stay. It was an easy drive to San Fran, Muir Woods, Pt Reyes, Napa, Sonoma, and other attractions in the Bay area. The location on the marsh really makes you feel like you are on vacation away from the crowds. The Boathouse was spotlessly clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, a big bathroom and a large bedroom/living space. The attached deck with large table, lots of chairs, lights and ping pong table (so fun!) doubles the useable space. Check-in, access and communication were so easy. As mentioned in the description, you do have to walk down 2 full flights of stairs to reach the property, but there is also a paved driveway that you can walk down, which was easier with our wheeled luggage. We will definitely stay here again!!
