This mountainside dome home includes one-of-a-kind local and imported art, homey furnishings and décor, well-equipped kitchen, complete with skylights for natural lighting. Just minutes from Luray and only two hours from DC. Plenty of room to stretch your legs and rest your mind on 45 mountain acres with spectacular views, plenty of wildlife, and endless hiking opportunities.

The space
We completely renovated this former doomsday prepper’s bunker to create an exceptional adult vacation experience. From the moment you drive on to this property, you know it is something rare, special, and unique. We have reinvented a concrete mountain bunker into something warm and welcoming with carefully chosen furnishings and the artwork of local and international artisans. We hope it offers the same relaxation, fun, and peace for our guests as it has for us.

Enter the front door into an open studio-style space with comfortable furnishings. The living area is outfitted with a leather sofa and a dining table with seating for two. Enjoy your favorite streaming service on the smart TV. Better yet, take advantage of the included board games and challenge your partner to a friendly competition. The home has everything needed for a safe and comfortable stay.

Sit outside, hike the property, and enjoy the amazing views from the privacy of the secluded earth home. Go skiing, tubing, golfing, and visit the Shenandoah National Park. Stay in or go out, there is so much to do you'll want to come back again and again.

Perfect blend of chill, nature, and romance

We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our ninth anniversary. It was lovely! As I said in the title, it's the perfect blend of chill, nature, and romance. The decor is super cool (conversation pieces), and the host included plenty of thoughtful extras to ensure a great experience. The s'mores kit was right on time! We hiked on the property (a great hike with excellent views) and in Shenandoah. We also enjoyed the hot tub, the outdoor fire pit (star gazing), and everything indoors, too. FIVE STARS!!

Everything was included

We only visited for two days and wish we could have stayed longer. Kevin and Jamie thought of everything when supplying guests with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Condiments, spices, extra towels, robes and slippers to name just a few. It was a pleasant surprise. We'll be back in the near future!

We fell in love with the amazing views from the property, the privacy/seclusion, and the really cool bunker home. It is our favorite place to go to just get away from it all, with plenty of fun things to do in Luray, the Shenandoah Valley, and surrounding areas.

When we saw this property we were intrigued by its backstory and what we saw as its possibilities. When we visited, we completely fell in love with the parcel of land and its stunning views. We knew the bunker could be transformed into something amazing and we’re excited to share it with others.
