About this property
Brand New Bass Lake Lodge - Your Perfect Northwoods Escape
Be among the first guests that we welcome to our family vacation home, Bass Lake Lodge. Recently constructed in Aug 2023 and located on the shores of the sand bottom, spring-fed Bass Lake in Minong, WI, the chalet-style lodge is only a two-hour drive from the Minneapolis area and 6 hours northwest of Chicago.
Perched on a westward-facing bluff with 100ft of crystal clear lakefront, the views of Bass Lake are simply stunning any time of the day. Spot Bald Eagles that buzz the tree tops, admire the aerial acrobatics of Hummingbirds or lull yourself to sleep listening to the evening Loon calls and crickets, the Bass Lake Lodge is the quintessential Northwoods retreat. Surrounded by a forest of Red Pines, and limited other neighbors, the lodge is perfect for a family getaway, bookclubs, quilting retreats (lots of outlets and floor outlets), girls' trips, viewing the fall colors, or a snowmobiling oasis.
The lodge features floor-to-ceiling vaulted chalet-style windows for spectacular views from just about any room, as well as large oversized windows on the lower level. Enjoy spectacular nightly sunsets from the 30ft wide deck, the outdoor firepit, or the cozy attached screened porch.
The Bass Lake Lodge is designed in a modern rustic style, featuring tongue and groove wood vaulted ceilings, wood floors and accents, tasteful stonework, and farmhouse-style lighting. The space will instantly feel warm and inviting, along with all-new well-appointed furniture that complement the Northwoods surroundings. The two gas-powered stone fireplaces crank out plenty of heat or can be adjusted to provide a relaxing ambiance that you can cozy up with a blanket and read a book.
Built to accommodate 3-4 families, the lodge has 11 individual beds that sleep 15 people spread across 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. No one has to sleep on a couch or a pull-out bed. All beds include brand new Nectar and Tuft & Needle mattresses which will leave you refreshed in the mornings and pressing snooze a few extra times.
To accommodate larger families, the lodge also has plenty of seating spaces across two levels, two dishwashers, an extra large dining table and island seating, a bunk room, multiple TVs, and a pool table/game room that walks out to the ground-level patio. If you need to work a few days remotely, there are also three provided desks and Google Mesh Wi-Fi powered by Starlink. Due to the sparse population density of the area, you will get blazing-fast uplink and downlink speeds for Zoom calls or streaming Netflix.
The property features an abundance of parking options for snowmobiles or boat trailers. If you have an EV car, a supercharger Tesla charging port has been installed and is available for use.
The town of Minong is less than 10 minutes away and has all the staples you will need for your stay, including a grocery store, bait & tackle, hardware store, and gas stations. There are several local restaurants that are open year-round within a 20-minute drive.
As the Bass Lake Lodge is primarily our family vacation home, unfortunately, guest limits are capped at 15, and no dogs or cats are allowed due to severe allergies in our family.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us in the Northwoods of Wisconsin!

About the host
Hosted by John Renaldi
We love sharing our happy place with a select group of families each year, limiting the availability to only when our family is not staying at the property.
Why they chose this property
Bass Lake is where I grew up and spent every summer from 1979 onwards. Never missed a visit in 46 years.
What makes this property unique
3rd generation family with property in NW Wisconsin dating back to 1965 when my grandfather first acquired the original log cabin that served as our previous family getaway.
