This home occupies the top two levels of a three-story property (please note: the lower level is a separate Airbnb unit). Enter up a small flight of stairs into the main living floor. Here, you`ll find a bright living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a patio perfect for morning coffee. This level also includes 2 bathrooms, a fun game room, a bunk bedroom, and an additional full bedroom ideal for kids or extra guests.
**Please note to enter into the back bedroom (full bed) and living room you will need to go through the laundry room and bathroom.
Head upstairs to the top floor where you’ll find a spacious primary bedroom with a king bed, a cozy queen bedroom, and a relaxed sunroom lounge with comfortable couches—great for reading, remote work, or hanging out. Step out onto the upper deck to enjoy beautiful ocean views and salty coastal breezes.
The backyard is fully fenced and pet-friendly, featuring space to gather and a jacuzzi for evening unwinding under the stars.
Please note: The lower level of the home is a separate Airbnb unit and may be occupied during your stay. Each unit has its own private entrance and designated outdoor spaces. Host immediately responsive. Very kind and thoughtful. We had to find a single level home for one of our family who had recently had hip surgery. Aiden, the host, immediately switched us from a two story property to a one story property. The property was immaculate. We had four guests. in a four bedroom home, very spacious quiet and we all enjoyed our stay. The home is well stocked with everything you need. It was a perfect stay.
Summerland is an absolute gem and this property did not disappoint!!! Tons of room, amazing ocean views, and walkable to shops and restaurants. The sunrise and sunset walks around the neighborhood were amazing. We’ll book again!
The host was helpful and responsive. The actual unit could use some work. There are ants and spiders inside. The bunk beds were also unstable, so guests elected to sleep on the floor or double up in beds instead. One of the upstairs patios had a very leaky roof, and the bedroom attached was moist/humid for the duration of the trip. That bed also seems to concave in the middle, which was uncomfortable.Smoke alarms were not connected throughout the home.

Hi Lalah, thank you for your review - these were the same notes you left on your departure. This was by far the most severe rain we’ve had all year and hence the leak upstairs! Today we reinforced the bunk beds and installed all new smoke alarms. We also cleared all pests from the home and did a full inspection before our next guests will arrive. I appreciate your attention to detail and hope you can plan to stay and return with us! Thank you!

Beds were comfortable upstairs, the others not so much. Bathrooms were clean. Overall generally clean. Microwave sounds like it is ready to die. Dryer wouldn’t dry clothes because it wouldn’t heat. Screen doors fell off the sliding doors and couldn’t be replaced. No way to open doors and windows for cool air to sleep, so the place was hot and hard to sleep. No air conditioning. Poor to no lighting to get into the facility at night. Very dangerous and difficult steps inside to get to the second floor. Wall outlet behind the couch was falling out of the wall exposing wires, and creating a potential fire hazard. If this were the first VRBO experience we’d never stay in one again. The host was friendly, responded quickly via email, but nothing was fixed. Someone is not checking this inside or managing it, whether it is the management company or the owner. Not sure. And chemical smell in the upstairs bathroom. Had requested no chemical smells due to allergens.
"The Narrows" describes the property - narrow! The home is the 2nd and 3rd floors of a duplex, with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths along with kitchen laundry and outside deck on 1st (2nd) floor and two bedrooms with 1 bath on the 2nd (3rd) floor.
At time of renting, the description didn't specify the house layout. The 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor are the desirable rooms to stay in, but they share a bathroom which we didn't realize. The bedroom in the front of the property is much nicer as it has an outside deck with a view of the ocean and a king sized bed. The 2nd bedroom in the back is a queen with a sliding door that opens up to a screened in back deck, which we didn't use as we found it a bit dank and dirty. We had issues with water taking forever to get hot in that top floor bathroom. We let the owner know and he was very responsive but we opted not to have him come over to fix it during our stay.
The 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor - one is a room with a bunk bed and the other a single bed frame with a trundle bed. Both rooms are rather dark and featureless - really only meant for sleeping.
Kitchen was well equipped - we made a large breakfast one morning we were there and found everything we needed.
Overall - not a luxurious experience as we just found the property to be a bit tired and not well maintained - sliding doors sticking/off their hinges, dust and grit on most outside surfaces, broken bed frame (we fixed) but certainly adequate for the wedding we attended nearby.
