This Santa Barbara cottage is located in the carefree West Beach neighborhood. It’s filled with small bungalows and boutique hotels that are just steps from the beach, Stearns Wharf, State Street, Funk Zone, and the Harbor. The Brewhouse, Toma, Jeannine's Bakery, and Chad’s restaurants frequented by locals, and Amtrak station are all close by making the walkability that much better.

Walk through the beautiful courtyard with a picturesque fountain and morning bistro area. The open concept Kitchen and Living Room features a comfy couch and modern appliances with courtyard views. Both Bedrooms are outfitted with stylish furnishings and the wraparound deck offers a private outdoor dining area. A uniquely special design are original Gregory Beeman paintings, specifically commissioned for this property.

The Hideaway sits below The Lookout at West Beach and adjacent to The Cottage at West Beach, each offering the similarly unique design and amenities. All 3 units of this triplex are available through Paradise Retreats. Imagine a wonderful family reunion and rent all three!

The Hideaway was is a perfect location to walk to the beach, restaurants, cafes and stores. A dedicated parking spot in that area was great because much of the street parking had restrictions. The Hideaway was well equipped for cooking and the fact that there were mini splits was nice since we were there during a heat wave and most locations in Santa Barbara do not have AC. The only complaint is that the Hideaway is downstairs and we could hear the upstairs renters stripping through their place all night long. Also when there was a change over, the cleaning staff was pretty loud. This may not be an issue for those renter for a fun vacation but we had a stay cation where we were working from the place.

The location is great! It’s a very walkable neighborhood & the beach is just a few minutes away.We very much enjoyed the outdoor space for relaxing & for dining.We enjoyed cooking two of our dinners in the Hideaway. The kitchen is very well equipped & the appliances are high quality. However, the only way to get cold water was to put the faucet handle in the warm/hot position & catch as much cool water as possible before the water heats up.

This was a lovely little bungalow in a prime location in Santa Barbara! We walked to Chad's for breakfast (EXCELLENT!), to Stearn's Wharf/the beach and even the Starbucks was just a 7 minute walk. Had everything we wanted and was exactly as described in the listing. Communication with the host company, Paradise Retreats, was easy and clear. We loved having access to the garage, although the logistics of getting in and out each time were a bit cumbersome. There was a key that was needed to unlock two (yes, two) doors getting into the garage, and then someone has to hit the button in the garage to open and close. A remote opener would have been so much easier! Also, we had trouble using the keys provided to open some of the exterior gates so we often had to walk around. Also note that the garage is pretty tight when two cars are parked inside, so plan to let your passengers out before pulling in and get as tight to the wall as possible. Not horrible, but something folks should be aware of!

Great place, hospitable host.

Location very close to beach and downtown. We rented entire location for 3 families and it was perfect for us. Many amenities provided for beach fun.. We will be back.

Sweet gem walking distance to everything!

This was a fantastic place to call home while visiting family in Santa Barbara. It was very clean and quite comfortable. The location can not be beat…mere steps to the beach State Street, and Funk Zone. I would definitely stay here again!
