Short Term Vacation Rental Permit Number: A-STRP-26-0493
My ideal guests are couples or solo travelers with excellent reviews. This is Not a guesthouse, there are No owners living upstairs or downstairs and you don't have to enter through a dark alley. This is a historic, quirky house with a throwback feel. Carefully curated interiors give this cozy historic cottage a warm, artistic, throwback feel. It's in a great location: 5 min. from downtown, 3 min. from Old Colorado City, and 6 min. from Manitou. It's where you want to be to visit the main attractions in Colorado Springs.
There's a fan and a window AC in the bedroom; a window AC in the living room, a fan in the dining room, a ceiling fan in the kitchen, and a fan in the bathroom. There's a 43 inch TV with Roku Guest Mode. Guests may use streaming apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, etc. by signing in with their own accounts and are kindly asked to sign out before checkout. Enjoy board games and a variety of retro entertainment, including DVDs, VHS tapes, records, and CDs, with players for each format.
The kitchen has everything that you need to make yourself at home, including a gas stove. There's a full size washer and dryer and laundry detergent.
The backyard is lovely when the weather is pleasant. Relax in the hammock or hanging chair, enjoy a snack at the bistro set, or simply listen to the subtle sound of the solar fountain.
-ABOUT DOGS: All breeds are welcome as long as they are well behaved, friendly, house-trained, and not prone to excessive or persistent barking or destructive behavior. Dogs must never be left outside unattended, and guests must clean up after them.
You can bring up to 2 dogs. Dogs are the only pets allowed. Sorry, no cats.
When booking, enter the number of adults (one or two) and check “I am traveling with pets.” Vrbo will add a pet fee of $15 per night total—not per dog. Please be sure to include your dog(s) when making the reservation. To help keep the cottage welcoming for all guests, please use your own blanket if pets join you on the couch or bed.
This little house was built in 1899, during Old Colorado City’s mining-boom era. It’s located in Old Colorado City, a historic, quiet neighborhood full of character and in a wonderful location. Fun fact: a house just three blocks away, at 12th and Pikes Peak, was used in the 2017 movie Our Souls at Night, starring Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. It’s the green house on the corner.
