Cute and clean! Our dogs loved exploring the fenced in yard. Host was very accommodating. We needed a very early check in and they made it happen. Thank you!
Great location for access to airport, downtown, and shopping. When I identified household items we needed for a 10 day stay, they were delivered in one or two days, but the host did not communicate that they were coming. Overall the house appeared unkept and tired- especially the outside. It has a musty smell and was not supplied for a a 10 day stay. It has potential, it needs some attention to improve.
Nice little house, very close to the OTC. Clean, well appointed and maintained, with a spacious backyard. I had a great time while attending an event at the OTC.
Second stay here and it was perfect. The house is cozy with a completely stocked kitchen. The couch is great for cuddling with the dogs. And the backyard is super relaxing and great for the dogs to run around. It’s in the perfect location too. Close to everything you need!
The location is a 5 min. walk to UC Memorial Hospital, which was important for us because we had a loved one in the hospital. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was spacious and met our needs.
The outside sitting area and fire pit were filthy! Therefore, could not use. Inside the home had a terrible musty smell. Realized there were poison mouse boxes in every room (even the bathroom) under the furniture along with the largest refresher boxes I have ever seen in every room. The conditions were unsafe and unhealthy. Could not have my family over to the house, not appropriate to bring them into that environment. Poor customer service. The house is for sale too, back doorknob hard to open due to key box.
We enjoyed our stay, it was beautiful! I loved the decorations in the house and the area it was lovely. My only issue would be all of the dog hair the person before us left. We understand a little bit of animal hair since we have animals too but it was even in our bed. We just washed the bedding and vacuumed everything so the issue was resolved but thought it would be nice for you guys to know.Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Everything was great. Needed to be near the hospital and it was a 10 min walk. We needed a one story place to recover from surgery, were there a month. Glad we had Sun-Drenched Hideaway, everything we needed was there.
This house was awesome. First, it had the most comfortable couch ever! The bed was also super comfy and the rooms had blackout curtains which I loved. This literally had everything I needed for my 2 week stay. The only criticism I had (and it in no way is a poor reflection on the property as a whole) is the backyard. It was a beautiful backyard and you can tell the owner put a lot of money and time into it. It had comfy patio furniture, fairy lights, a fire table and even a dining table and BBQ. Unfortunately, it looked like they maybe stopped the landscaper for the season a few weeks to early because the weeds were overgrown. 1 more pass by the landscaper and this backyard would’ve been gorgeous. Aside from that very minor thing, this house was awesome. I highly recommend and I will be booking it whenever I’m in Colorado Springs.

Underwhelmed and overgrown
The description of the property says that it is "exquisitely designed", and I would agree, but I would say that the remodel was not exquisitely installed. When we opened the top cabinet to grab a glass we realized that the bottom of the handle was broken. They couldn't be bothered to put a false cabinet front next to the gas stove and just left it open to collect dust and dirt. And the planks of the flooring had gaps big enough to hold gravel from the backyard. We found that out after one of our group ripped their sock and cut their foot in the kitchen.
There's no pictures of the backyard and there's a good reason for that. We enjoyed the grill and the fire pit. Too bad that the cute lights around the patio area only stayed on for a short amount of time and the lights around the trees were cut so they didn't work at all.
The property was also obviously pet friendly because somebody left their filled dog poop bag next to the patio. We discovered that when we cleaned up the patio seating because it was covered with dirt, leaves, bugs, and just all of the things that we didn't want to sit on. Maybe they missed it because of the overgrown weeds around the sidewalk.
I had reached out to the number on the property management site via text after my request on the booking form went unanswered. The text was also ignored, but a phone call was returned.
Also, the white noise machine did nothing to cover the sound of helicopters taking off from the hospital up the street.
Although I didn't bring any pets, I appreciated that the property was pet friendly. That said, there was a very strong cat odor from the moment we walked in the door. There are odor eliminators hidden throughout the house but they are no match for the strong cat odor.
The property was fine but the nice fenced in yard was all weeds and the shades and drapes we were in not consistent. In other words, some windows had them and others don’t but the house itself is nice and two bedrooms. It was fine I would say for a one night stay.
We stayed here for a short visit and found the home generally adequate for our needs. The kitchen was stocked with the basic necessities, and the location worked well for us.There were a few areas that could use attention. The couch was usable but not particularly comfortable or supportive for relaxing in the evenings. The home also had a noticeable odor upon entering. It may simply be the smell of an older house, but it was strong enough that we noticed it throughout our stay. The biggest disappointment was the yard. The listing photos showed a clean and inviting outdoor space, but when we arrived, the landscaping was quite overgrown and did not match our expectations based on the photos.Overall, the property was functional and served its purpose, but some attention to the odor and outdoor maintenance would improve the guest experience.
