This home is the perfect location to fish all of Central Florida’s lakes. Located within a 5-minute drive to boat ramps on Lake Harris (Ski Beach), Lake Eustis (Buzzard Beach), Lake Dora, Lake Griffin and more. Bring your boat and keep it covered under the new, large carport- big enough for two boats/ trailers with electric and water. Two additional boats can set up next to the carport. Electrical can accommodate 4 boats at once! Property is large enough for additional parked vehicles. Bring on the tournament fishing by spending less time driving to your lake and more time fishing.

Fisherman’s Haven is newly remodeled with 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. New kitchen with granite countertops and shaker style cabinets. Enjoy cooking using new stainless-steel appliances. Kitchen is fully stocked and ready for preparing meals or your favorite beverage.

Each bedroom is newly furnished with comfortable beds, plush linens and new flat screen TV’s. Fast internet and a smart TV subscription includes Peacock TV and all your favorite streaming. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom comfortably provides two full beds. The third bedroom is made cozy with a queen size bed. The fourth bedroom stays cool with a dedicated AC unit, two twin beds and a couch for kicking back. The living room sectional hides a pull-out sofa bed. The quiet area and expansive rooms can sleep 8-10 guests with a total of 6 beds.

Angler’s and friends alike will enjoy the ease of launching a boat into the surrounding lakes. Spend your day catching a big bass or trolling through the chain of lakes to see the abundant wildlife in the area. Lake Harris and surrounding lakes are a top destination in Central Florida to fish for largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and more! Enjoy seeing alligators and watching Sandhill Cranes along the banks. Easily dock at lakeside restaurants and watch a beautiful sunset while you eat. After a fun filled day on the water, return to Fisherman’s Haven and have a drink at the kitchen bar or slip outside near the fire pit and enjoy the evening.

This home is beautiful inside and out, clean friendly and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. We had 7 adults and 3 children/infants and all were comfortable! I highly recommend this home for all.

House is convenient to all major boat ramps. We had no problem parking and the lighted covered shelter was great for getting ready for the next morning. Convenient to several local places to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

Fisherman’s Dream

This VRBO is very clean, well-planned and designed with anglers in mind. The location is convenient for easy access to fishing ramps and restaurants. The owner was prompt with inquiry responses and ensured we were comfortable. Highly recommend this house when visiting the area. We are already making plans to visit again.

Leesburgfest

Very clean home. Rocks under shed made it a little difficult to pull out on motorcycles but host says that will be addressed. Not far from downtown Leesburg and great home base if you like to ride. One of the cleanest and neatest places Ive stayed on bike trips.

Dorothy was super responsive and the house was beautiful and well furnished! Sparkling clean, brand new appliances, furnishings, etc. While on a busier road, this home is set back and entrance to driveway is from a private way. We look forward to staying here again when visiting family in the area!

Great Trip

Dorothy’s property is incredibly nice and spacious inside, and the enclosed backyard is great for gathering in the evenings after a day of fishing. She is a great host and immediately responds to any communication. We had three boats and trucks on the property, and the access road to a handful of homes made it very convenient to get in and out. Great location for fishing any of the Harris Chain lakes.

Property was conveniently located central to all the lakes. Carport was very convenient for boat parking. Home was very nice and spacious. Host was very responsive and helpful with the only small issue we had. I will definitely be staying here again.

Fantastic To Say The Least

Ms. Dorothy’s Fisherman’s Getaway was nothing short of spectacular. The boys and I were in town for the yearly Leesburg Bikefest and was the perfect distance for enjoying the local festivities. Every room was perfectly equipped and super comfortable. The amenities available were exceptional as we typically do an eat in dinner with the crew, so we barbecued some steaks with the onsite grill, sat around the fire pit and enjoyed the evening laughing reminiscing our travels. Looking forward to next year and hopefully, Fisherman’s Getaway is available. Thank you for everything Ms. Dorothy!!!

I CANNOT say enough great things about this property and the owner!!! We came down from Ky with intentions of staying about 2.5 months. We had very unexpected health issues, and had to fly back and forth several times, leaving all our things there. She watched out for our trucks and boat, kept in touch with prayers, welcomed us back once we were able to return for good. I have NEVER worked with anyone that was more accommodating than she was with us. Plus, the home was so nice! Very clean, sleeps a lot, parking under the canopy, electric for our boat, nice grill and patio, very private back yard, and PERFECTLY located to so many things and lakes!! If I could give them 100 stars, that would be my score!

MLF High School tournament

We stayed here for the MLF HS fishing tournament this past weekend. The house is beautiful and spacious! Everything was sparkling clean and fresh. We had plenty of room (3 adults, 2 teens) to spread out and relax during the evenings. The house is perfectly equipped for all that you would need to cook a meal there. We did so every night and didn’t come across anything that we missed. The bedrooms & bathrooms are pleasantly equipped as well… especially the closets. I’ve never stayed somewhere that provided closet organizing and clothes hangers… Such a nice touch! The beds are comfortable and we slept well. There was plenty of parking available. We had 2 trucks with 2 boats and had ample space under the lit & powered carport. This was a nice touch too! The boys were still able to get rigged up & ready for the tournament after dark and with the little bit of rain. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a place close to the boat ramps. It’s approximately 10-15 min to Venetian Gardens and a mere 3-4 min to the main ramp at Eustis. (I think it’s Tavares recreation park.) We will definitely look for this property on our next trip down to Harris Chain. Ms. Dorothy was an excellent host and was easy to contact. She was quick to respond to my messages and very kind! We sincerely appreciate her hospitality! 💕
