When we pulled up to the house, our first impressions could have been a little better. The yard wasn't super well kept and the outside of the cabin seemed a little rough. However, it was beautiful on the inside and ended up being quite a nice place to stay. It was also close by to several prime hiking spots, which was nice. It's a small house, but perfect for a couple getaway. Definitely had a nice cozy feel to it.
Such a beautiful cabin it was clean, everything was updated & maintained. Great communication amenities were as described. My friends and I booked this cabin for a reunion after 35 yrs. We had an amazing time. Thank you!

Thanks for staying at cabin. I appreciate your great revew. Please come back.
The cabin was nice, pretty clean, and cute. Only thing that really sucked is there was a storm and the power went out for a few hours. I guess it's a common occurrence for the area.
The location was quiet and peaceful and close to restaurants, gas station and stores and the cabin is very cute and cozy. Would have loved the location more if it was a little closer to Hocking Hills State park.
Overall our stay was very enjoyable.

This was a home away from home! Nice, cozy, and warm! Definitely wanting to go back. Location was beautiful. Seen all kinds of wildlife. Great spot if you really just want peace and quiet.
The stay was great. It had everthing we needed and any issues we had were resolved quickly. He communicated check in instructions quickly and was responsive when i had questions.
The cabin was ok but outside could have been more presentable. The drive was hard to see,the grass wasnt that mow so it was hard for me to walk to the cabin. The grass was growled up around the cabin but we had a nice time visiting my daughter.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your time visiting your daughter. We apologize for the condition of the outside area — due to the recent heavy rain, it’s been difficult to keep the grass maintained as often as we’d like without damaging the ground. We truly appreciate your understanding and will continue working to improve this for future guests.
For the price this has to be one of the best little cabins to stay in. Several attractions are within 10 minutes and overall the cabin is really nice.
The pictures do make it seem a little more secluded than it really is but all in all. It's is in a nice location. My only real gripe was that the shower seemed to be hastily installed and did leak a decent about.
Very tidy and comfortable cabin. Enjoyed our stay, very quiet area, even saw a Buck cross the yard. Very easy to contact the owner. Might suggest to have a cheap hair dryer available for us girls after a shower ;)

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy, rustic cabin. It’s tucked away nicely, offering peace, quiet, and plenty of space from the neighbors — a great spot if you’re looking to unwind away from it all. The cabin has a charming, old-style feel with some nice modern upgrades.
While the mini-split struggled to keep up during the colder nights, the wall heaters in each room and the space heater in the living area helped make things comfortable once we got them going. The shower knob takes a gentle touch, and the bathroom exhaust fan seemed to bring in some cool air, but overall everything worked fine for our stay.
The cabin could use a little extra attention to cleaning (we noticed some popcorn and small debris under the couch and coffee table), and it’s worth noting that towels are not provided — so be sure to bring your own.
All in all, it’s a quiet, relaxing getaway with a lot of potential, especially for those who appreciate a rustic cabin experience with some modern comforts.

We loved this property! Very safe and quiet, we had an issue with our water when we first arrived but the owner quickly got a hold of me and helped us fix the problem. They provided everything in the cabin that we needed and the fireplace in the back was very nice. It’s very secluded away from all the noise of life. The floor and towels that were provided were not the cleanest but easily fixable.

Cute little cabin
It was a cute little cabin perfect for us three. I was disappointed that the grass was over grown picking ticks off of us because of it the grass looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. This was a holiday weekend too. Messaged owners if they were going to mow got no response. The location was kinda sketchy. Its not really in a town but a little no nothing village. The floors were dirty and dead ants on the floors in the rooms.

Hi-
Thanks for your stay. Sorry the rain has been raining like crazy.if we cut it grows right away. Also we had issue with mower. The mower has been fixed Now grass is mowed as it suppose to. Thanks for you input.
Take care
Traveled to the Hocking Hills area for the first time. Attending a wedding and a little exploring.
We were looking for a simple, clean, cozy cabin (myself, son, wife, and 3yr old grandchild). This was that.
Weather hit the area and power was lost, but not us. We remained high and dry. The bathroom was quite tight but is to be expexted in a "cozy cabin". Overall, we got to do what we came for. It was a sweet, relaxing weekend....despite the weather.
The cabin is comfortable for up to 4 people. A sizable yard allows families to play, cook out on a charcoal grill, enjoy a fire pit and relax in peace and quiet. Any issues I may have had were resolved immediately. The owner even came by (with permission) to say hello. (His son and mine are going to same college) I did suggest he add a few more cooking pans and glasses. I will stay again.

There were some things that weren't in the listing and were only made known during the check in information. Such as you're not supposed to wear shoes inside, there's a mat by the door to leave your shoes on. I didn't see any mention of cameras being present in the listing but they were disclosed during check in info. If you smoke you're not even supposed to do so on the porch outside. That just seems odd. The water smelled like sulphur the entire time. That was the biggest issue. Also the exhaust fan in the bathroom is installed incorrectly so it blows could air IN and it's on a timer so you can't even turn it off once you realize that.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing these concerns. I’m very sorry that your experience did not meet expectations.
The items you mentioned — the no-shoes policy, camera disclosure, and smoking restrictions — should have been clearly stated in the listing in VBRO web site , and I apologize that they were only mentioned at check-in. I will update the listing so future guests are fully informed ahead of time.
I’m also very sorry about the sulphur smell in the water. That is not normal, and I will have the system inspected immediately to make sure it’s corrected.
Regarding the bathroom exhaust fan, thank you for pointing that out. It should not be blowing air inside, and I’ll have a technician fix the installation and timer issue.
I truly appreciate you bringing these issues to my attention, and I apologize for the inconvenience they caused during your stay. If you have any additional concerns or photos, please feel free to share them so I can address everything properly.
Thank you again.
