Arie Dam #404 was very spacious with a gorgeous view of the gulf. Such a great location! The condo was clean with large updated bathrooms and good closet space. The entry lock was tricky and the code did not always work so we carried the key with us just in case. The bed in the master bedroom was very hard. An additional blanket would have been nice. The condo could also use extra towel racks and robe or coat hooks...also more lighting in the living room area. Loved sitting on the balcony although there was only one chair for the table. Pool and hot tub areas were very nice.

Arie Dam is my favorite condo building in the area. I was thrilled to find upon checking in that the elevator was working again! The few things we were disappointed to find in 404 was finding there was no dresser in the master to unpack and also no beach towels provided.

It was a very well stocked and a delightful place to stay. I will say that we were very dissappointed that the elevator was not working the whole time we were there and there had been no mention of that. That's a super important thing to disclose.

Great location for families!

Very pleased with the unit and cleanliness. Location was excellent for our family w/ children aged 3-8 years old... plenty of things to do within walking distance and heated pool and beach just steps from our door.

Condo very clean, clean, clean. Refrigerator with water/ice dispenser ---Bonus! Love ArieDam! Beach right out the back door. Walk the beach south to John's Pass, 1.4 miles. Walk the beach north to the pier, 1.5 miles. Lunched @ Columbia (Clearwater), BonAppetit (Dunedin), Dimitri's on the Water (Tarpon Springs), The Wharf (St. Pete's Beach)

Nice place, Sparsely furnished

Nice and roomy. It felt like it was missing a lot of furniture. There was only one rug in the entire place (think bathrooms and bedrooms!). Construction from the recent hurricane was still ongoing or not done well. We had an entire curtain rail come completely out of the wall, and it took a complete day before anyone fixed it. Also cockroaches. We killed two and maintence didnt do anything about it during our stay. It made us a little jumpy the rest of the time. Overall it was a really nice place, but it could use a few touches.

Great views and tons of space

I left a big review with VTrips stating some things I noticed that were lacking, especially the kitchen, which really needs more cooking utensils and basic things like a colander, baking sheets, and a boiling pot. The decor is kind of random and not real beachy, but the views on the balcony make up for it. The bathrooms and showers are awesome. The kitchen is spacious. Tons of closests and cupboards around the condo for storage. Could use a dresser in the master bedroom, but overall a great stay.

Be a home inspector upon arrival at this unit

We love coming to this location. I am just advising any persons coming to this particular, become a home inspector upon arrival. My wife and I have come to this location for 16 years. Love it. This is our first time able to come after the hurricane devastation. A lot of work going on for the building as a whole and we just assumed it was par for the course for the area. Long story short, we overlooked a leaning fan and plug cover gone. Dont be like us and get charged for everything wrong in the unit. Bed slats broke, so now I need look under beds upon arrival. A ripped quilt in a room we did not use that they say we did. I told them its not about the money, its about advising them they got the wrong people, or its a scandalous operation. By the way, never experienced nothing like this before. There is no way I could have noticed all that they found.

Beautiful View

Beautiful room , beautiful view , just wished the patio wasnt screened . The bathroom vent did not work . The overhead showers in both bathrooms did not work , they were plugged up, but we fixed them . There was not enough washrags , we had to do laundry alot. I wore socks in the room and it made the bottoms of my socks black , which did not come clean . My husband got stuck in the elevator for an hour, then the elevator was down for 2 or 3 days . But overall, still a 5 star , still loved it !

Very stressful experience

When we got there the lock to the condo didn’t work then when we finally got someone to help us on the phone we could get in but we couldn’t lock it to leave so we had to stay there that night When once in the condo the floors were filthy, the TV in the living room didn’t work. The TV in the bedroom was only in Spanish. there were black hairs in the sink in the second bedroom (Ihave blonde and my husband has gray hair) there are no paper towels, toilet paper, dish towels, dishwasher pods. there were dishes, left in the dishwasher that I had to empty. The coffee table had dust all over it. The table on the porch was filthy. Cleaned it left the washcloth black after I cleaned it. when we went to bed that night, there were no sheets on the bed in the primary suite there was a door handle that fell off in the primary suite when we closed the door. The fan remote in the primary suite didn’t work. The fan in the living room only worked with the light on and only one speed …very fast. we were told someone would come to fix the door lock the night we checked in but no one came we had to call again in the morning the second day it took 3 1/2 days to get everything fixed. They never could fix the fan in the living room. I sent at least 10 texts and made a a dozen phone calls.

Poor building management and HOA communication

We traveled with another group that rented a second unit through another vacation company but we both booked through VRBO. They were made aware two days prior to our check in that the elevator would be unavailable all week. We had no communication from our booking so I reached out for more information. At that time we were told someone verified with the onsite property management and they had just used the elevator and everything was working. Two days later, two hours before check in we were informed that VTrips was just made aware that the elevator was broken and that they were quickly Working to fix it. Someone was lied to on Thursday either the property manager lied about it working or VTrips lied to us that they verified it was working. We had a person in our party with limited mobility and we were booked on the 4th floor. We asked what would be done to accommodate this last minute since we were lied two when we asked two days prior. We were offered to be put up in a unit off the beach until the elevator was fixed. We declined as we had paid a great deal of money to stay on the beach. Throughout the week there was no one on site looking at or attempting to fix the elevator. The sign that was fixed to the elevator door looked fairly permanent. It was screen printed on, hard card stock not something that someone just quickly printed off and posted on the door further leading us to believe that this elevator has been out of service for sometime.
