We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beyond even how beautiful it looks in pictures...everything is so well done and comfortable. The location on the lake was stunning and well situated to reach nearby towns in just a few minutes drive. Our entire girl's trip exceeded our expectations and we definitely hope to return to stay here again next year. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts!
Your place is beautiful and great view of the lake. There were 4 of us, friends for over 60 years. One was not able to come due to family issues. We mostly stayed in and played games, eat and laughed a lot. We did go into saugatuck Tuesday afternoon. Thank you, we would definitely recommend your place.
Very modern, has everything you need and is updated. Enough space for privacy and to enjoy your time together. Beautiful lake and dock. It was perfect! Great communication as well. Will be back!
Our family vacation on Michelle’s property was amazing! The house is absolutely beautiful with wonderful views of the water on the main floor and upstairs. The home was very clean and smelled fresh the moment we got there. Michelle is a wonderful host and was very attentive to all our needs. We would definitely consider staying in her property again!
We couldn’t have been happier with the property, the amenities, the communication, cleanliness and overall experience. We were 3 adult couples with an infant and a 6 year old and the house was spacious enough for all of us. And with Hutchins Lake right there and Fenn Valley Winery a short walk away, there’s plenty to see and do without getting in your car.
My girlfriends and I spent a weekend at the house and had an amazing stay. The home decor is even nicer in person than it looked in the listing and the location is great. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and it is located very conveniently to several great restaurants and wineries. It’s also a very quick drive to Saugatuck which offers lots of activities. Check in was smooth and communication was prompt. Would love to come back and stay again sometime.
We have been vacationing at Hutchins Lake for 8 years, and this year was our first time staying at Michael’s lake house. It was absolutely perfect for our family, especially with our five kids. The house is spacious, well-maintained, and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids loved having direct access to the lake, and we spent hours swimming, fishing, and enjoying the beautiful views. Michael was a gracious host, always responsive and ensuring we had everything we needed. This was by far our best experience at Hutchins Lake, and we can’t wait to return next year!
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish! Exceeded our expectations in every way! The house was perfect- just as described and then some! Everything from furnishings to kitchen gadgets were in excellent “ like new”condition. Wonderfully decorated and very comfortable! Michael (owner) has thought of everything. So many activities, restaurants and shopping- wish we could have stayed a few more days. Hutchins lake is beautiful and peaceful and everyone is so friendly. Definitely the best place to stay and vacation- no doubt will go again!
My husband and I rented this house for a few days right around the July 4th holiday. Over the weekend, the lake and surrounding area is BUSY, but during the weekdays, it's much quieter. First, the good: Fennville is a hidden gem, the house is nicely-appointed - very clean with a comfortable bed in the lower-level master bedroom, all the furniture and appliances seem almost brand new. (We didn’t use the two bedrooms upstairs.) The back patio area is well-equipped to grill or sit and relax, although being all concrete, it can get hot. Things to note: there is nothing in the kitchen but for cook-and dishware. No coffee filters, no salt, no pepper, etc. like we are used to seeing in other rentals. The listing mentions a private dock available for use, but we found no information on which one it was. The main TV room is upstairs with a half of a handrail, in case someone in your party needs that information. There is no cable TV or local news channels -- TV is streaming only off of your own apps and logins. The master bedroom TV simply had snow on the screen. There are no books or games (outside of a small NERF-style ping pong table in the TV room) for rainy days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but do know the house doesn't feel like an owner / family uses it, it feels more like a great big hotel suite.

Jessica, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I wish you had called about some of these issues; I think we could have answered your questions or otherwise rectified most of these issues quickly. The dock is right across the street from the front yard. The guests just prior to you also rented our house next door, and the games and some kitchen items ended up over there. All set now. The bedroom TV has a Roku, which was not plugged in during your stay, but works great. We have turned the cable TV service back on and installed a handrail on the staircase.
