Joker's Inn
My family and I have been renting beach houses in the OBX for many years and Joka'S Inn is the worst location we have ever stayed at. There were so many issues with this property that I cannot list them all, but here are to worst issues: - The entire home smelled of musk, mildew, and/or mold. I would not doubt that it is a health risk, as both my daughter and I began a mild to moderate cough within a few days of staying in the home.- The house had tons of spiders and other critters inside the residence. On the first day we went shopping and by the next morning when we began making breakfast two large insects were found crawling in the cabinet where we stored the food (unopened / sealed).- The light switches and doorknobs were greasy, causing my daughter to go through the entire home cleaning the place with Lysol wipes.- The outdoor shower was filthy with sand, dirt, leaves, and a lot of spiders. I spent the first afternoon cleaning the outdoor shower so we could us it after a day at the beach.- The beds were rough for sleeping, lumpy, small, and uncomfortable. Having a double bed in the master vice a queen is a huge error. And, there is too much furniture in the rooms. Very crowded. I had to sleep on the couch most nights because of the uncomfortable master.- Finally, and not because it's the last poor item about the house, but because I don't have much room left, this house needs a remodel and deep cleaning. 1980 called and wants its' decor back.Joker's Inn, not Joka
