About this property

Pet friendly home across beach. Enjoy all the Cape has to offer!

This home has been recently renovated and includes lovely views of the beach. This is a split duplex with another rental cottage on the other side. The master bedroom contains a queen sized bed and is perfect for a couple. The other large bedroom contains 4 twin beds and a futon. The view is great and the sounds of the ocean can put you to sleep no matter how stressed you are. The living room includes plenty of seating with a flat screen TV. Also, the home comes with WIFI but no phone. Comfortable restroom includes a tub. The front yard has been raised and offers views of the beach while the back patio includes a picnic table, propane grill and shared outdoor shower.

The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood with great year round neighbors as well as other guests. Also included are 2 parking spots, access to a private beach, great public beaches, and a village near by that is a great area for running/walking. We personally love a walk through the village or around Lake Elizabeth.

There is so much to do in this part of the cape. Plus, it is in a convenient central location so you can get anywhere on the cape in under an hour. Ferries leave regularly for Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket out of Hyannis and Falmouth. There is also an MBTA training that goes to Boston during the summer months.

This is a pet friendly home that will be great for a family or some friends.

Another great trip

This was our second year staying here and we just love it. The area is great and has everything you need for food, groceries, shopping, etc. The close proximity to the beach makes it perfect. Plus the addition of air conditioning made it a lot more comfortable for the kids, who slept upstairs. We look forward to hopefully coming back next year.

Sweet cottage in Centerville

Cozy cottage across street from 2 public and one small private beach. Comfortable and clean. Close to many Cape attractions and great restaurants. Owner easy to work with and responsive to texts. We really enjoyed our week there.

The interior of 8 Sunset Ave is exactly as described. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. We did not use the upstairs space but we were impressed with the roominess. Be prepared to provide paper products (TP, paper towels/napkins/plates) since additional supplies are not provided. Food prep appliances - crockpot, toaster, electric fry pan, coffee maker and Kureig - were handy but some essentials like tongs were not. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were like new and quiet enough to watch TV nearby. The access to the beach was wonderful. Close, easy and inviting. We would have been more comfortable using the outdoors area if there was more yard maintenance. It was scruffy and overgrown, but we WERE there at the end of the season.We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly

Good for a short stay with great weather

On a sunny day, this place is perfect. Amazing location - great for walks and going to the beach. Very convenient for dining out and the washer/dryer was super helpful. This place really begs for a window AC unit....its very muggy and the window screens have identically placed gaps when someone manhandled the screen. Every window was opened when I arrived - lots of bugs. The place looked better than the pictures. The broken dishwasher, ant issues and sliding door leak should have been communicated early (aka before I found the problem myself) with the option to fix during my two week stay. I am sure they are chronic problems to the unit but short term fixes could prevent an overhead sliding door leak for three days (like flexseal or caulking) or to mitigate ants when the dishwasher is broken (like a kitchen trash can with a lid). None of these issues were addressed during my stay.

Awesome Beach House

Great house. This was our 4-5 time renting. No complaints and the owners are also great! We love the large outdoor shower, patio and bbq grilling area. Best part of renting this home is its 54 steps to the sand😃, quick 5 min drive to amazing Four Seas Ice Cream and it’s pet friendly 😃

Perfect getaway

Location was excellent right next to the beach. The house was excellent and clean. The owner was very attentive whenever we had an issue. The only drawback was on the day we arrived the AC wasn’t working. It cooled off that night so it wasn’t an issue the rest of the week. Overall I would absolutely stay there again and recommend to anyone.

We stayed Saturday through Saturday, you will easily to see sunrise and sunset , just across the street from this house at the beach . 3 miles to find grocery and nice restaurants, very close to Hyannis, overall is nice location, but one thing that we struggle , upstairs need ceiling two fan , because Summer its really hot . They need to fix some stuffs here and there to make this house perfect . Thank you to Elizabeth that had been good in communications when we need something or ask something .

Fantastic!!!

This is our third time renting this property and, as always, it was amazing. The location is perfect. It’s just a short walk to the beach and we love being able to see the ocean from our back door. We’re looking forward to renting again next summer!

I can’t say enough great things about this rental. The owners are easy to work with. The property is perfect in every sense of the word. The open concept kitchen/living space is great! Amazing beach cottage just steps from the beach!

Our family (2 adults, three kids ages 12, 9, and 5) and two puppies had such a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage literally across the street from the beach and convenient to everything! We had an awesome vacation and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great location! Wonderful view! Easy walk to a beautiful beach. Easy access to Cape's other attractions. Plenty of space especially upstairs with 4 beds and a futon. Many great attributes including the in house laundry and outside shower to wash off the sand. Both were very convenient. A couple glitches with the kitchen lighting not working reliably (flickering) and a small problem with the microwave. The kitchen had plenty of pots/pans but few matching tops and minimal amount of knives for 6 people. But overall, would highly recommend this rental, and we would stay there again!

Can't beat the location!

You will love the location of this beach cottage - just a walk across the street to Covell's beach. Beautifully landscaped, raised cottage has ocean views from the sliding glass doors, and plenty of sleeping space on two levels. The owners were very responsive to our questions and handled any issues that came up during our stay. We would definitely return to this lovely spot.

Sweet, comfortable Beach House

Sweet beach house about 45 steps to the beach! Our second year at this house. We have 3 teenagers 14-19. They love the private loft upstairs. Kitchen is well stocked with small appliances and cookware. All beds were comfortable. We brought our own sheets and towels. Washer/Dryer are convenient and simple to use. Liz and Steve are always very helpful and attentive to any issues or needs that may arise. Large, clean outdoor shower is a Huge bonus too. Nice patio and gas grill. Only negative is the family room couch is tired 😮 Otherwise awesome beach getaway!!

Very comfortable stay in a perfect location.

The house was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. We liked waking up to see the ocean daily and had our coffee outside. The beach was very nice and very quiet, maybe due to us being early in season. We were only a couple of miles from Hyannis so there was plenty of restaurants and activities to chose from. We cruised out of Hyannis twice on Hyline Cruises to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Only an hour boat ride to each. We took a ride to Provincetown one afternoon which also took an hour. The house was centrally located and had everything we needed. Landlord was very accommodating and accessible if needed. Thanks for a great stay!

The home was very nice, had everything as described in listing. Location & neighborhood was excellent. Dishwasher & washer/dryer was a huge plus, living area was large & roomy and outside property was neatly maintained. Owners were pleasant when I met them for check-in. House could have been a bit cleaner. Fridge should be completely cleaned out between renters (in my opinion). I cleaned out remaining food & shelving as it was dirty. Other than that, no complaints. We had a great experience & vacation.

Beautiful Beach House!!

We loved every moment of our vacation staying at the Sunset Ave. home. The house was very clean and the perfect size for our family of four with extra beds upstairs. We loved that the beach was just steps away and close enough to everything else The Cape has to offer. It was a very quiet neighborhood and enjoyed spending time out on the patio watching the surf. The owners were very friendly and willing to help with anything at all. We'd definitely stay here again!

Pleasant and comfortable beach home

We had the most wonderful time at this beach escape. The house was well clean and maintained and had everything we needed for the week ! The owners were friendly and extremely nice and accommodating. There was a problem with the screen door and they fixed it a few days after we got there. We would most definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to be close to the beach and in close driving distance to lots of amenities, restaurants, ice cream shops etc.

Conveniently situated and nicely decorated

The property was perfect for our family of 6, 2 adults and 4 teenagers...Upstairs room is a good size with 2 fans which kept the room cool. Downstairs was everything you need for a short stay. House was situated right across the street from the beach. Situated just perfectly to be able to enjoy all the sights of the Cape!. Why they chose this property

Great duplex cottages located in the heart of beautiful Cape Cod with private yards on private roads where children can bike, skate or play ball. These charming cottages are steps away from the beach which has warm salt water, great sand and gentle surf. Deeded beach rights allow you the privacy of a private beach or a lifeguard protected beach. They are near Hyannis, shopping, and boat docks to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Historic Craigville Village with its 'ole Cape Cod' charm is within walking distance, as well as the famous 4 Seas Ice Cream Store. Owner managed and maintained properties are well-suited for families. 'Seniors' like the laid back atmosphere especially in spring and fall when it is not so busy. If you enjoy sun bathing, body surfing in the ocean, building sand castles on the beach, romantic walks at sunset, or kite flying with your children, this is the place for you.

What makes this property unique

This home is in a very central location in Cape Cod. There is so much to do that you might spend years trying to do it all like I have. With the beaches, the book and antique stores, the museums and amazing restaurants, there is something here for everyone.
