CRITTERS: We subscribe to professional pest control services. However, please keep in mind that the cabin is in the mountains. So in and around the cabin, guests can expect to encounter critters, including but not limited to: ants, bees, spiders, moths, millipedes, ladybugs, and rodents.

MORE ON LADYBUGS

Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies. These little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They may swarm to the cabin and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs may come back right away and unfortunately there is no way to prevent it until the season passes.

Guest Access:

Parking Space for 2 cars

Everything was just as pictured. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The grill on the deck is a nice feature and we used it several times. We saw bear most every day.Our hosts, John and Carla, are wonderful. Always answered our questions right away. We would stay at their cabin again.

We had a wonderful stay here at Bear Haven Cabin. The place was very clean and had a beautiful view! The hot tub was a great perk too. Staying on the quiet side of the mountain was a great choice over the chaos in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but only a short drive away to the activities there. It was awesome to see a bear during our stay too!

The location was great. This was our first time not staying in Gatlinburg while visiting the Smokies and we loved it. The area was very peaceful and all the attractions and activities were very easily accessible to drive to. The cabin was just as pictured and it was perfect!

Just spent 6 days with my wife and 2 dogs. Location is great, not much traffic and out of the major towns. Easy drives to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and even the Smoky Mountains if that your goal as it was ours. Would definitely stay here again. My wife said her trip was made when she saw a BEAR out the front door!

Absolutely beautiful cabin with an amazing view. We visited in April so sunrise was a perfect view. Has a game room downstairs to keep you entertained in the off hours. And the neighborhood bears came and made their appearance just about every day for some picture taking.

We had a fantastic 10-day stay at Bear Haven! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had a great layout for our family. The mountain views from the deck and hot tub were absolutely spectacular and one of the highlights of our trip. We even had several black bear sightings, which made the experience even more memorable. The location was perfect—peaceful and tucked away, yet close to Dollywood, Gatlinburg, the national park, and other attractions. Carla was a wonderful host with excellent communication before and during our stay. There were just a few minor issues: the fireplace wasn't available because it's seasonal, the downstairs jacuzzi tub jets didn't work, and the shower stalls were a bit small for taller guests (I'm 6'1"). None of these took away from our vacation, and we'd gladly stay here again. We highly recommend Bear Haven to anyone looking for a relaxing Smoky Mountain getaway with incredible views!

From check in to check out, everything was a breeze! The cabin was perfect for us! My parents, and our son with his puppy, Finn. Walking Finn, a bear popped up next door. Thought Finn was gonna be a lil nugget. But he went along on his way. The cabin is at the end of a cul-de-sac with magnificent views. I’m missing my morning coffee view! Thanks for letting us enjoy you great cabin!

We would definitely recommend this cabin. It’s located at the end of a cul-de-sac. There are a few cabins around it, but you really can’t see them when you’re sitting on your back decks and enjoying the view. It was a very quiet neighborhood. We saw lots of wildlife, even a bear. The view from the top deck was wonderful each morning as we watched the sunrise. The hot tub is enjoyable for the afternoon. The host is so very kind, and very accommodating. The communication was excellent. We had a small problem at the beginning, but the host communicated right away about how to correct it and was more than gracious. Cabin was clean, water pressure good (and lots of hot water). Sometimes these cabins on wells do not have good pressure. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Beautiful secluded cabin. Wonderful views. Saw many bears! Host was amazing, responsive and helpful. Would stay here again for sure. I wanted that cabin in the woods feel and this definitely checked that box. Only thing is the video game system didn’t work and I think an upgraded hand mixer would be a nice.
