This stunning property has everything you may need for a romantic vacation! There is a sandy beach, gorgeous sunsets, and a fire pit for those nightly chats while stargazing under the clear Maine skies.

Relax on the spacious lawn playing lawn games like you did in your childhood. Close to amenities!

This stunning property has everything you may need for a romantic vacation! There is a sandy beach, gorgeous sunsets, and a fire pit for those nightly chats while stargazing under the clear Maine skies.

Relax on the spacious lawn playing lawn games like you did in your childhood. Rent kayaks and take a morning tour of the cove as the tide comes in, or take a drive to nearby trails to hike in the clean air.

Enjoy the nearby fishing towns, local lobster co-ops and farmers stands as you venture out to explore, or check out Petite Manan a wildlife refuge with puffins and trails .

There are great restaurants minutes away, ice cream, shops, bicycle and kayak rentals and a ferry right to Bar Harbor. This is truly a Maine experience in a small fishing town with the coziness of a clean and spacious Maine waterfront Cottage.



First floor:

A full and super clean kitchen with all of the appliances and cooking supplies you may need, and that view!

The living room has a queen sized pull out sofa and doors, which can be used as a second bedroom for those extra guests.

The first floor has a full remodeled bathroom with a walk in shower.

The kitchen walks out to a deck for your morning coffee with the loons, eagles, and wildlife waking up too. Watch for seals playing in the tide, and deer grazing in the yard at dusk.



Second floor:

Main bedroom with a king bed, plenty of room and storage. There are two chairs to read, or just take in the sunshine over the waterfront view. This romantic bedroom is spacious and comfortable.

There is a full bathroom with a tub shower.



Schoodic Point and Schoodic trails are 8 miles

Winter Harbor Ferry to Bar Harbor is 5 miles

Bar Harbor and MDI are 30 miles

Wonderful Restaurants, groceries and ice cream are within 5 miles

Rent kayaks and bicyles locally.

Petite Manan is a wildlife refuge with trails and puffins, just minutes from the house off of rte 1.

Excellent location close to the Schoodic peninsula (scenery, hiking, etc.). Plus easy access to the ferry to Bar Harbor from nearby Winter Harbor. The cottage is charming with a view of Prospect Harbor. Sleeps 4 and also perfect for 2 people. There are several good restaurants including Lunch on the Wharf in Corea, and the Treehouse Grill in Winter Harbor. Stop in at the Pickled Wrinkle too!

Our experience at the Beachy Watering Cove Cottage and Acadia was outstanding. The cottage was very clean, roomy, and very comfortable. Susan Luke was very easy to work with and took care of our every need. The property had outstanding views and we enjoyed an outdoor fire every night while taking in the sunset and massive star display. The hiking paths and natural landscapes at Acadia National Park are second to none. Our stay at the cottage far exceeded our expectations .

Nice waypoint to all things Maine

The house was clean and cozy! Perfect for our trip. We ventured out to Acadia and to the Canadian border and the house was a great central location! The views from the house are beautiful! We would for sure stay again if we venture back to the area!

Great getaway

The property is in a quiet neighborhood which we liked very much and the beach access was amazing. Also the house was super stocked with everything we possibly could need and more. Only down side is the lack of air conditioning but seems most nights are cool enough to do without.

Anniversary getaway

This was an extremely nice place for our vacation. It has everything you could possibly want or need. Great location, close to Schoodic Point which is one of our favorite sites. Several place to eat; so no cooking was also a plus for us. The weather was great and the price was great for the high quality of the home. The privacy was also a plus. We enjoyed sitting at sea side watching the changing tides.

Relaxing getaway

The property is wonderful for couples of any age. The cottage was immaculately clean when we arrived. The appliances were all clean and functioning perfectly. It is a great location for accessing all the region has to offer, though we also enjoyed many hours just relaxing at the property, either on the beach or just above in chairs, or enjoying the cottage. We would certainly consider staying there again.

Great place to get away from it all

This cute little house was just the right size for my husband and me. The neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing. However, the drawback of that is that it is at least a 30 minute drive to get to anywhere. Bar Harbor is an hour's drive (and we were not in peak season - it is probably longer if we had been). There were a few things to do closer, but you still had to drive as there are no shoulders on the road and consequently walking felt treacherous. This is not a criticism of the property - if your intention is to relax this is a wonderful place to do it!

Owners provided a clean space

Property manager’s primary function seems to be sending automated messages that repeat fees for late checkout. Spent the first night/morning figuring out how to a) get water on b) how to get hot water to work. Information in “welcome” book in addition to pages of for late checkout, starts with 3 pages of rules and penalties, no information on how to deal with water. Inconsistent information about exact internet password. Liked th house, really not sure what value property manager offered.

This is a dissapointing review, but expected. I was on the phone with this guest on her way here by phone, and many times prior by email. At her arrival, the water breaker had been turned off by the owners and she found it with me on the phone, and turned it back on. I offered several times to come to the house to do it at 9 pm, but she said she was fine. In the morning, she ran the water and had hot water, but had to run it a few minutes. Again, I was communicating with her to make sure all was good in the morning. She was using a capital letter in the Wifi password, instead of a lower case letter. There is an automated email that does go out, reminding guests of their check out the following day. There are some people that like the drama, and creating their own negative space. I am sorry for her, that she probably did not have a great vacation despite this beautiful property on the water. The owners had manicured the lawn, put down mulch and flowers, and trimmed all of the bushes. The fire pit was out and ready, as were the deck furniture and grill. It is truly one of my favorite properties with a breathtaking view and sunsets.
