I can't say enough about the views!!! It is exactly what we wanted when we booked! Absolutely stunning! The staff was so friendly and attentive! We would definitely return!!
Rental unit was basic and mostly functional. Kitchen had basic cooking and eating utensils, though cups, bowls, glasses, etc were limited in numbers and did not match. Glassware included a glass yogurt jar. Bathroom mirror was broken upon arrival. Sliding doors did not slide smoothly, and did not lock from outside. Unit was mostly clean, but there was blood on the bathroom door, and mouse droppings on the kitchen countertop. Unit was in need of an overall update. A 4-star rating is probably a bit generous for the room itself.
We are very pleased with our experience in Smith Bay and Point Pleasant Resort!
I don’t have one negative comment.
From the moment we landed to the second we took off, it was an incredible experience!

Thank you so much for your feedback! It was truly a pleasure hosting you. We hope to see you again soon
The front desk staff were so helpful and prompt. The description doesn’t do the property justice! There was so much more not listed...the free shuttle service (within property which is very hilly), three pools, a wonderful snorkeling area (manta ray, reef fish, octopus and more). The only downside is the “nice” restaurant on the property (Mirador), too expensive for what it is and the manager was extremely rude. The Shoreline Grill, on the other hand was excellent. Tasty food, prompt and pleasant staff and especially good with covid procedures. But there are plenty of other restaurants options around. We rented a car and we’re able to check out quite a bit. Recommend Magen’s Bay (huge beach area w bar and food) and Lindquist beach (more calm). Saw 4 sea turtles at Brewer Bay beach but that one is a bit of a drive thru the capital city. Definitely rent a kayak at USVI ecotours and go to the little island out there to see the thousands of hermit crabs. My 6 year old was thrilled.

The facility and staff were great. Used the shuttle to Red Hook a couple of times. Both were great. The front desk staff were also great.

Love this place!
We absolutely love Point Pleasant, so I would rate our overall satisfaction a 5. It is our second time there and we really enjoy the small resort feel of it, location, service, etc. Anything that we needed was provided with no hesitation. Can’t wait to book our next trip!

Beautiful place!
St. Thomas is so gorgeous! The breeze and sound the ocean made was so soothing so we left the big sliding doors open during the day. It was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this particular villa. The view is amazing. The staff was very prompt when we asked for extra towels which we appreciated greatly.

5!!
We enjoyed our stay very much! I loved the room and especially our beautiful view! I am missing it already. Your staff is very helpful, polite and friendly. There was no one that I could find fault with. The only drawback for me was that wifi was advertised as available but I was not able to connect the entire stay. I like to keep in touch with family this way and also do my banking. I bought home information about your resort to share with friends of mine at work and am also hoping to return again myself. It was a great stay, very relaxing and very quiet and private. So overall you receive a # 5!!

Not bad - here's the deal (con't)
This is my review continued:
There's nowhere to park in Red Hook, even in the offseason, so be prepared to troll for spots. You WILL need to get out, because the resort itself is sleepy.
OK, let's talk about the unit itself. The whole place is pretty small, like a studio apartment almost. The kitchenette is fine for cooking, there's a full fridge, range, microwace etc. There's air conditioning above the bed, internet, and a tv with a few channels. There is a pullout bed, in addition to the king size bed. This place could sleep 4, but quarters ARE pretty tight if it's 4 fully grown people. The bathroom is adequate, nothing special. It's really perfect for two, or two and children.
This is not some spectacularly clean Ritz Carlton room, but it IS resort managed, which is a plus. That means you get the amenities, like shuttle service, clean towels upon request, snorkel gear, friendly attractive hotel staffers who (beware) will come if invited, invites to guest welcoming parties, and other little perks. If you get locked out, for instance, they have a key (an expensive one, if you lose it).
I'm not a super particular person, so I will admit that this unit was perfect for my needs for the 5 days I was there.
This little villa is not much to speak of, but it is decent if you're not some kind of perfectionist (if you are, good luck in the Caribbean). It's definitely one of the better ones in the resort in terms of proximity to the lower pool, beach, and restaurant, although the beach is a trek no matter where you are in this resort (as I spoke on in the first part of the review).
Last things last: the view. The view is great. You're essentially across the bay from Coki beach. Out toward the ocean you can see St. John and Tortola. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch watching the sky, even on the rainy day that washed us out, it was a nice place to watch the storm. Pelicans abound and will fly right by your head.
All in all, I give this place a strong B+.

Not bad - here's the deal
Let's start with point pleasant: It's a resort on a steep-as-heck hill, at the bottom of the hill is the ocean. There aren't really any ocean level condos. Lots of the balconies have amazing views, including this one, but the beach is a bit of a walk away. Staying in the B's we were as close to the beach trail as you can get. For an able-bodied adult this is not a difficult jaunt, but it should be noted that the beach is also pretty decent climb down some stairs. If you're on anything above the bottom level of the resort, the beach is pretty much a serious walk to and fro, unless you're pretty fit. Luckily, the resort will pretty much shuttle you around in golf carts-- at least during the offseason when nobody is there and the staff has nothing better to do.
As for the resort itself, it's got pools on each different level, i.e., an oceanfront pool where you're close to the water and right above one of the restaurants, a middle terrace pool, which is about halfway up the, for lack of a better term, mountain, and finally a pool way up top where you can see pretty far out across the island.
The restaurant, Panga, is nice, relatively informal. It's not a huge menu or anything, so I'd plan to have meals off the resort, too. There's supposedly another restaurant opening somewhere on the hill sometime soon, but it was operating when we were there. The resort has no dive shop or anything, but they have free snorkel gear if you ask in the lobby. The beach itself is super tiny, maybe a 150 run with 2 or 3 beach beds. There's not a lot of sand so don't plan on chilling here. There is a more traditional resort right next door, and their beach is swimmable (super close) from the tiny resort private beach. If you bring a waterproof bag for your mula you can pop over there where they serve drinks and seem to have a bit more of a party scene. Finally, Point Pleasant is close to everything on the east side of the island. You could get away with taking cabs if you plan to stay local to that side of the island, but they start to add up. The safari buses the locals take are cool and all, but a bit rough and tumble at night, and certainly not safe from, like, an "I feel like this dude might flip this bus" standpoint. If you have a car, Red Hook is conveniently down the street. (continued)

Relaxing and Fun Place!
I can see why this place is #1. Not only were the facilities and room great, but the staff was so helpful, polite, yet relaxed and casual. We felt comfortable, that we could be ourselves. Had great laughs with the bartender!
Thanks for the great memories!

fantastic vacation
We had a fantastic vacation, and enjoyed our lodgings at Point Pleasant very much. We love that we did not need to rent a car, and we took full advantage of the shuttle service. Everyone on the staff was so friendly. We would have liked the restaurant/bar to be open more/longer/later hours. We hope to get back to PP again, and we will definitely tell our friends about the resort.
