The property was well equipped so we were comfortable. We enjoyed sipping our wine by the fire pit, talking and laughing. We did get our hand slapped for being a little loud after hours. The only thing I would recommend is new pots and pans for cooking.
We had a great stay at the Sonoma Wine Country Madison Escape. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed a cup of coffee in the backyard every morning and it was a quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood was a little run down, but we felt safe. Thank you for a great stay!
This house was great for the four of us. The house is clean and is in a quiet neighborhood. We found the location to be very convenient for exploring Sonoma and surrounding communities. The back yard is beautiful and private, although we didn't spend much time outside. There are frequent reminders about the quiet hours regulations which weren't a concern for us due to the time of year that we visited. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This lovely and very clean home easily accommodated our family of seven. The layout of the kitchen/dining area and family room was conducive to communal cooking and socializing. The large backyard was lovely and inviting. All in all, this home was perfect for our family reunion.
We had a cousin reunion trip to the wine country. I want to clean up the house was perfect for gathering and enjoying the wine. We got that day. Beautiful backyard with lots of privacy. Lots of room in the house and everything we needed. Would highly recommend!
Nice home with a pleasant grassy backyard on a quiet street.
Our 2 labs and 4 adults found the home accommodating with the grassy backyard and Ernie Smith dog park a short 10 minute walk on quiet back streets.
The beds are comfortable with soft comforters and plenty of blankets.
We did not use the outdoor fire pit and the indoor fireplace is not to be used per the safety rules. The nest heater kept us plenty warm when we were home not exploring winery’s.
The master bathroom is a bit snug and the kitchen has most everything.
Only a little dissatisfied with no ice or filtered water dispenser from the refrigerator / freezer. And no ice cube trays to make our own ice.
Tyler was responsive when questions came up via text.
The property was beautiful and the layout was great. But we struggled with the AC working the entire time we were there. In 4 days they had 2 different handyman out to work on the units even putting in portable ACs at one point. They were trying to help but the end result was still that the house was very hot especially the bedrooms. The listing stated there were pull out sofa beds. There were not - they had plywood in the couches instead of beds. The listing also shows a propane firepit but upon receiving our check-in info we were told we could not use it. Although, the trip was still amazing I would not book this house in the future.
Nice enough place. Basically forbidden from venturing outside at night.
Apparently the owner has had issue with loud parties in the past and heavily warned us every single communication that amplified music is forbidden at anytime out side and after 9:00 PM inside. Since we are. Well into retirement this seemed overkill but we obeyed. Sadly not a single knife in the kitchen could even slice an onion. Very shocking is the complete lack of exhaust vents in either bathroom. Depending on whether it was sued for a shower or something else it was either too humid or stinky to come inside. Save money elsewhere on your investment but please offer working bathrooms and enough tools in the kitchen to make simple meals.
This property has been nicely remodeled, with nice bathrooms, a nice outside area, a nice dining area. However, the AC is from the last century - 1990, over 35 years old! We arrived in the afternoon, and the house had heated up to 75 degrees, even though AC was set to 69. It was cooling off at night, so we were opening the windows. The windows in two of the bedrooms were broken and needed a hammer to hold them open. On the 2nd day, it got even hotter in the afternoon, and we couldn't go into the house until well after 9. That was when we looked at the AC and saw it was from 1990, well past its useful life. It is obvious from other reviews that there have been AC issues and the owner is cheaply trying to repair the rusted out system, instead of doing the right thing and replacing it. I wouldn't stay there in the summer of 2025 unless they have replaced the AC. The property manager tried to help by bringing fans over on the 1st night, and on the 3rd night brought some portable AC units. These ended up blowing the fuses, so we were stuck troubleshooting an unmarked circuit breaker box, and the one unit leaked water all over the floor. There isn't much a property manager can do on a holiday weekend when the owner has been too cheap to replace necessary equipment and just wants to limp along. We did get a refund of 1 night stay, but it didn't really compensate for the discomfort and frustration.

Sonoma house
There were some things broken or needs attention in this house.
A broom would be nice to sweep the laminate floors.
Water leak in shower and toilet was leaking.
Dishwasher needs to be secured, it was lose and could full over if the door had any weight on it.
Parking in the residential neighborhood is a problem.
We had a neighbor next door that was watching our every move.
The furnace may need to be serviced it was extremely loud and the same with the ice maker.
Bench at the dining table was missing the top of the buttons, and exposing the metal. It appeared to be a safety hazard. It could cut someone when setting on it.
Garbage cans out side were full, unable to close the lids.
I wish all the house rules were listed on the site before renting it. And it also has 5 bedrooms listed in description and there are only 4 bedrooms. It also stated that the house could accommodate 12 people but it was list in our messages that they could only have 10???? So many questions.

Hello, why was not 1 thing mentioned to me when the guest checked in??
The house is listed for 4 bedrooms with 5 beds and sleeps 10 guests. Not sure what he is looking at?
The house also allows 4 cars 2 in the driveway and 2 on the road per our permit. Not unlimited amount of cars.
We have a handyman that could have been over within an hour if the guest would have called me and given any feedback at all..
very frustrating when guests say not 1 word then leave a bad review.. maybe he was upset when I said we could not accommodate a party of 20 guests at the house.

Cute home turned ugly when A/C wasn't working
If you are looking for a home with “American or HVAC” air conditioning, do not stay here. If you are looking for a home with “European or HV” air conditioning, then this is the home for you. It is a cute and clean home, but the A/C never kicked in for the duration of our four-day stay and trying to get it fixed with the owners was a real struggle. Sonoma had temps in the high 90’s and low 100’s while we were there so the A/C should have been working properly. The owners sent their friend out to check the system and all he did was remove the air filter and told us problem solved. However, the problem was not solved as home temps remained in the 80’s. In my opinion, the compressor needed freon gas and if not, then it needed to be replaced. After emailing the owners of our situation and letting them know they could verify our complaints on their Nest thermostat, we were still ignored. It was a very uncomfortable situation for our two small babies and our elderly grandparents. We should have known something was up because when we checked in there were numerous floor fans throughout the house. And finally, no apologies were offered over the course of our stay.

AC issues were resolved in real time by maintenance staff. All AC units do struggle on the days where it’s 100 plus degrees. Discount was also given to the guests for the AC issues.
