Really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable, clean, and just felt like a home away from home. We were 5 adults and had plenty of room. The backyard was a nice area to spend looking at the deer and birds. Game room was a nice touch:) It was a little more than an hour from Yosemite, our main reason for staying there, which was a little further than we wanted, but it was still a great stay! Loved the area, and the neighborhood, wish we would have had more time to spend exploring the town.
The house was nice. Clean. Hot tub would have been nice. Everything needed was there. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone going to Yosemite park. Beds were comfortable too! The host was always reachable and friendly.
Wonderful home for my family of five (2 year old twins and a 12 yr old). It accommodated everyone and then some! Would definitely book this home again! You won’t regret it!
The Mountain House was excellent! My family stayed here for my wife’s bday trip to Yosemite and we loved it! Pretty much had everything we needed and we all enjoyed our time. Pooja was very communicative and quick to respond! Would definitely book again!
This was a great property! The beds were comfortable, the living room was perfect for the 4 of us andbthe backbyard was anazing! The host replied promptly when I had questions. There were deer in the front yard every morning and the neighborhood cats were friendly when they visited. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness only because there were ants in the kitchen which the hosts were actively trying to get rid of. I would stay here again!! Highly recommended.
We took our family for a few nights and enjoyed this place. The house was better in person than in the pictures. It was super clean, and the host was available to accommodate our requests. We will choose this place again.
Thanks,
Sarab

Thank you Sarab for your feedback. It was great to host you.. I would love to host you and your guests again at the Mountain House!
We loved our stay at the mountain house. It was neat, clean and checked all our boxes. The warm fire place, lush green backyard and the creek beyond was simply a delight! The location was apt since it was near to the Bass Lake and Oakhrust downtown.
The host was responsive and communicated well.
Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to visiting again.
Everything was fantastic. And then my 3 year old hid under the guest bed and I found a diabetic hypodermic needle beside her with some other trash. The checkout process included removing the sheets from all used beds and putting them in pile on the floor. We discovered urine at the foot of bedding that was uncleaned from previous visitors. Probably because they didn’t put sheets on floor, so bedding was never cleaned.
Two very bad points of our trip.

My family and I visited Yosemite and found this wonderful cabin, and if I may, it was a little slice of paradise. The cabin owners were so sweet and answered all our questions. When we arrived to the cabin it was very welcoming and homey, everything was spotless! When we say everything, we mean it. The beds were nicely made. The bathrooms were clean and looked new. The grill was very clean and we were able to BBQ on our vacation. The washer and dryer were nice and they even had laundry detergent and drying sheets. The back yard is very spacious. My kids were able to go outside and enjoy the trees. It also has a swing in the back. The tvs were great we were able to watch a movie before bed. It also has a fire place, we didn’t use it but if we wanted to it would have been easy to as it had wood and a lighter at the ready. The cabin also included toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and snacks. It was all amazing. 10/10 would definitely stay again.
Is this ok?
My husband, son (15) and I absolutely loved this house. It is very clean, cozy and spacious. We loved that it had a fireplace b/c one day it was raining and cold and the evenings were cool as well. Although it has A/C and a heater for the whole house, the fireplace just added that cozy feeling. We enjoyed the huge green grass backyard! We played corn hole that the house provided. We also walked past the fence line and walked the creek behind the house. That was pretty cool. We also saw 4 huge turkeys twice. This is a bit of a drive to El Capitain (1 hour and 15 min) but the drive was so beautiful and that was part of the experience as well and wan't a problem for us at all. About 4 miles away there is a little tiny country store. We wanted sandwiches for the next day and wasn't prepared. So we bought stuff there. They have all the sandwich fixing but very pricey. I encourage ppl to stop in Marisopa or even towns before that to get your food if you plan on cooking. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a crockpot that I used. The beds were very comfortable. Just an overall wonderful place and will definitely be referring this to other friends and family. The owner was super nice and replied immediately when we would text her. Thanks Pooja!

Thank you Amy for your feedback. It is really helpful for me as a host and other guests.
It was a pleasure to host you guys. You have been really wonderful guests and would love to host you guys again soon
The home was unprepared for our 3-day visit. It was mind boggling how bad it was. The master bedroom showerhead was malfunctioning while only spouting out cold water, which required our family of five to share the second bathroom. Multiple light bulbs throughout property were not functioning: for example, only one out of three bulbs worked in the master bath and several others needed replacement elsewhere. The pantry had no functioning lights to access washer/dryer. Additionally, one bedroom’s fire alarm chirped at night due to a low battery. The washing machine was missing a knob to operate it (laundry essential hiking at Yosimite). The kitchen appliances were very outdated (freezer had no ice maker requiring daily ice purchase) and the interior did not match online advertised photos. Coffee filters/trash bags were initially absent, the owner supplied them the following day upon request. In all, this provided a very bad “welcoming” feeling. The owner offered to send a handyman to correct the deficiencies, but we declined the offer due to the security of our personal possessions. We communicated our concerns to the owner, who apologized and ensured corrective action would take place and assured us future tenants would not experience the same, but offered no compensation initially. After raising issue with and providing pictures , the host offered minimal compensation that we found inadequate (less than 10%). This is the first time I have ever provided negative feedback
