About this property

Off-grid container home on 6 private acres, outdoor soaking tubs and plunge pool

A unique off grid experience awaits you at our eco-friendly solar powered container home on 6 secluded acres. The home site is perfectly cut into a groove in the hillside 200 feet above the valley below allowing for beautiful Mountain views and amazing privacy with no visible neighbors other than the variety of local wildlife.

Important: Please be aware that our gravel driveway can be a bit steep in spots and an AWD or 4WD vehicle is required to reach the homesite.

You will have access to the whole property with three unique spaces. A 300 sq ft converted shipping container serves as a spacious bedroom with a full bath and desk for remote workers. Make your way down the outdoor stairs to the lower house with a well equipped kitchenette and cozy living room nook. Enjoy the outdoor soaking tubs, wood fired sauna and a seasonal plunge pool just past the lower house. Just a short 5 minute drive will bring you to the lovely town of Rogue River and access to I-5.
We take pride in the fact that our entire property is off grid and eco friendly powered by solar whenever possible. Even your water supply is solar powered and gravity feed. Although you should have plentiful power throughout your stay prolonged cloudy weather can slow the charging of our battery bank. But rest assured we do have a backup generator to charge up the batteries for you just in case.

We designed the home to be intentionally small and cozy and encourage you to enjoy our outdoor areas and amenities. Just a quick stroll from the house through the manzanita grove you’ll find all of the outdoor amenities. The natural wood soaking tubs are perfect for soaking under the stars, or light up the wood fired sauna on those chilly evenings. Warm up around our brand new fire pit area.
In the summer time our seasonal plunge pool will help you beat the southern Oregon heat. You’ll also find our outdoor shower house here to freshen up after a swim or sauna. It’s not technically an outdoor shower but the giant picture window looking out to nature will make you feel like it is!

Inside the container home you’ll find a king size bed. The lower house also has a queen size hide a bed. Bedding will only be provided for the hide a bed upon request. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare small meals on the cooktop or toaster oven just bring your own ingredients. A French press coffee maker and coffee beans are provided for guests. We have a decent size propane refrigerator and separate freezer.

We are unable to offer our wood fired sauna during periods of high fire risk. This is typically from July-September but depends on current fire conditions.
