My Dad & I were in town to visit with long time family friends that live on the Rogue River. I wanted us to have plenty of space to be comfortable during our stay. The house was more than large enough for the 2 of us, quiet, and conveniently located just 5 minutes away from our friends home. Nicely equipped, and centrally located - we'll be back again next year, Thank you for a great stay! --Amy
We stayed here during our Redwoods vacation. The house had everything we needed. Very clean and great community. I’d book this property again if I were in the area.
The Rogue House was the perfect space for our stay during our family reunion. We loved the entire space but especially the kitchen and hot tub. We are excited for our next visit to see family so that we can book it again and hopefully it wont be raining so that we can use the firepit! I loved that it is centrally located and everything in town is within walking distance. The hosts are attentive and very responsive, willing to go the extra mile so your stay as comfortable as possible.
A fairly quiet location. Everything is new, the kitchen is well-supplied (even had olive oil!), bath has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, luxurious towels. Kitchen lighting could be better, but it is adequate.
This property was everything pictured and more. It was fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Extremely clean and well decorated. All the ementities you could ask for. The host was very sweet and quick to reply, if we had any questions. The hot tub was awesome. The outside patio was private. We enjoyed several bbqs and enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. This will definitely be our place of choice for future visits to the area. We would highly recommend this place 😊

We spent two nights at the Rogue House and really enjoyed this beautiful little town. Though the house is located right in town, the neighborhood was quiet. It was an easy walk to the grade school playground with our granddaughter, or to the coffee shop around the corner. The interesting town museum was even closer. The home was lovely, laid out well, and clean. Our dog was safe in the fenced yard. The house is very convenient for travel to Medford or Grants Pass locations. I would love to stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay. Steps were a little steep, especially for someone with physical difficulties. We loved all of the amenities and appliances. I would only recommend a mixer and maybe a more towels, wash cloths, and toilet paper for 4 people. All which we were able to deal without. Other than those few minor things we would highly recommend this Air B&B.
I asked my 19 year old daughter to write a review and these are her words:
"It's a super cozy house that feels like it's in it's own miniature downtown area. The small town it's located in (Rogue River) feels like a secret hidden gem. The house almost doesn't fit in, but in a good way. It has the unconventional indie movie atmosphere. Right outside the door there is an amazingly beautiful, ambient and vividly close view of the mountains. This home is comfy, homey and ethereal at the same time. There is also a super cool coffee shop around the corner that has a dragon statue that is definitely the star of the show."
I'm her mom. It was awesome. We had beds, linens, two bathrooms...it definitely suited our needs and we would stay there again. This trip was just to visit my dad so we didn't partake in all the fun the river offers. But, we've done it before and this home offers a place to bounce from to enjoy the river (rafting/kyaking), the mountains and my dad's favorite...The House of Mystery in Gold Hill. There are stores nearby so if you forget something you have resources.
Francesca, you are awesome. Your communication with me was the reason we choose your home over others that were available. And, like my daughter communicated... your home is definitely a home away from home.
Easy to find, so location was perfect. Loved the open kitchen/living room layout, made it feel not crowded and cozy. Bedrooms were perfect in size and beds were comfy. I liked having a TV in each room. Two bathrooms were perfect for the 6 of us. Very accommodating, such as providing shampoo, conditioner and body wash, as well as laundry detergent and softener. Outside patio was perfect for our little diggity dogs. Everything was very nice. I am and will recommend this little "getaway cottage" to anyone coming to southern Oregon!!
This property is a renovated old store, comprehensively transformed into a chic, fully equipped home. The host is easygoing and responsive. Check-In was easy, just enter the code on the door and you're in! My wife, friend, two dogs, and myself had everything we needed to stay in and prepare coffee/meals (some of the non-stick pans are damaged), and the on-site washer/dryer made it easy to pack light. The house has many subtle details that will make your trip comfortable and enjoyable, including, but not limited to, a backyard lounge to unwind each evening.
The house is literally next to the Police Station, a small community parking lot, and across from a Uhaul/Small Engine shop. We felt safe and unbothered even with ambient noise. There was enough room for two small SUVs in the driveway, and my larger SUV on the street in front of the house.
The town of Rogue River is easily traversed on foot (or vehicle), and provides several dining and grocery options. If you need more options, a short trip to Grants Pass via the 99 or 5 takes just a few minutes. Medford is also a bigger option, but we never needed to travel there outside of one Costco run. It took just under 2 hours to get to Crater Lake, and is an absolute must visit area.
Overall, I highly recommend this property, and if this house fits your needs, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not booking it. Thanks again to the hosts! Your effort and attention to detail made our staycation amazing!

About the host
Hosted by Francesca Hamasu
My name is Francesca and I've been a VRBO host for three years. I'm originally from Boston Massachusetts but have lived in Oregon since I was 10 years old. I'm a traveler I've been on the road traveling with my family of four for the last three years. We love being a host because it provides a living for my family while we explore the world. Our travels also provides us with insights into VRBO as we stay in properties all over the world and see what we like and don't like and we get to add those things into our listings.
Why they chose this property
Nestled right in the heart of downtown Rogue River our cute little house is only a 7 min walk from the sonic Rogue River and minutes away from the shops restaurants and bars. Take a walk around the block and grab a cup of coffee from Tailholt Coffee. Or stay in and enjoy our luxury hot tub, fire pit or watch Netflix on the 70" smart TV. This newly remodeled modern rustic home was the town store in the 1800' and has as much history as it does charm. Only 2vminutes from I-5 this is great place for a night as you travel through or a more long term stay to explore our quaint little town.
What makes this property unique
The history of our place is second to the proximity to everything Rogue River. Take a walk down the block to the Rogue River Museum and learn about the history of the town of rogue river, don't forget to ask about the picture of the old town store which is now our home, or take a longer stroll down the rogue river greenway which snakes along the Rogue River. There is no shortage of things to see and explore in the area.
