Thanks Steve for the great review. It was great hosting you. If you are up this way again, I hope to host you again.
A perfect oasis in wine country to unwind and relax after a long day of activities. We traveled with three kids and the place was perfect for them. The boys had a blast in the bunk beds. Close proximity to the children’s Museum, the Charles Schultz center and not a long drive to Traintown. We also made it to a few wineries as well. Place had all the amenities and the host was very responsive to our questions.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It is an unusual neighborhood in how the houses are laid out. I'm fortunate to have great neighbors. Hope to have you back again.
The place is in a great location to many places in Santa Rosa and is very quaint & quiet. It's nice to have a hot tub, but it is on the smaller size. The owner responds quickly with answers to questions.
We have stayed at many rental units. This one made everyone's top list. The house was clean, with a number of personal touches. Communication with the host was easy. He was accommodating to our special requests. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for the great review. Hope to host you again.
The home was clean and we were happy to have use of the garage. Quick responses from host Gary. We felt a little uncomfortable with the noise monitor and took away one star for stress that we may be too loud inside the house.

Thanks for the review. I'm sorry for stress about the noise monitor. Some time back, I had a guest book my place for a "family" thing, only to end up with a large party with over a 100 guests (for which neighbors told me they charged $15 / head, so it was a business for them). They moved all my furniture to the garage, scratching much of it, so they had room. Broke things. Neighbors were blocked in and called the police. That's what the monitor is there to prevent. Once was enough. :) It's not there for normal stuff. You'd have to have a raging party to set it off. I'm not sure how to concisely convey all that though.
I hope the (long) explanation of why I have a monitor and what it takes to trigger it helps, and you are able to stay again when in the area. I'd be happy to have you as guests.
The place was well kept, with a nice backyard and hot tub. Gary was a very receptive host, who supplied a lot of info on wineries and places to eat. He was quick to reply to messages. The neighborhood is quiet and not far from downtown Santa Rosa. Would stay here again!

Thanks. It was nice to talk about wine with a guest since wine is a big part of why I moved here. Hope to see you again.
Amazing property & host for a Sonoma County family stay!
We traveled to Santa Rosa for a family wedding in Sonoma County and needed a base of operations for just over a week. This property was exactly what we needed—a safe (albeit somewhat "high-density housing") neighborhood, with plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably, space for me to work while the family played, and a well-appointed kitchen we could use to keep from having to dine out for every meal.
The host was amazing from start to finish! Ample & open communication leading up to our stay, and then very accommodating with information once we were checked in.
And just a note on the neighborhood. While the neighborhood was definitely along the high-density housing lines, we had ample parking during our stay...and plenty of privacy, too.
Overall, an amazing property in a great location in a beautiful part of a beautiful state.

Thanks for the positive review. Glad you enjoyed your stay and the house. Hope to host you again sometime.
I'm from the Midwest originally. Then moved to Northern California, then moved back to the Midwest for work with a short detour on the East Coast (DC). I'm in MN now. Nice people, but the winter sucks, so I'm working my way back to CA. Currently, I live here in the winter, and rent the house out the rest of the year (so this is my house and not just a rental).
Why they chose this property
I picked Santa Rosa because it's the largest town in the area and has the most stuff to do. I picked this neighborhood because it's close to town, and has easy access to restaurants, breweries, and 101.
What makes this property unique
I think being close to stuff is a standout. I live here part year and it's what attracted me. The house is nicely laid out and has everything you need while on vacation - Central air, deck, hot tub, etc. As a smaller property, I am able to offer an in town location at a lower price than other, larger 4 bedrooms.
