My small ranch-style home is set back on about an acre of land off Highway 3 in Waverly, but don’t let that take away from the completely private, quiet and relaxing experience you’ll have while you’re here.
The open concept layout includes a full kitchen with all new GE Cafe appliances purchased in 2020, including a wall oven and microwave with wifi capabilities, a cooktop and range hood, a dishwasher, and a french door refrigerator/drawer freezer complete with a hot water dispenser. I also have a toaster, air fryer, blender, crockpot and coffee maker. You’ll find plenty of dinner and drinkware, pots & pans, utensils and an assortment of spices, condiments and dry goods such as flour, sugar, baking powder, etc. to use at your convenience. You’ll also find bonus snacks in the fridge, freezer and pantry drawers.
The dining area includes a 70” island and a table with seating for four. There are also tv trays to use for your convenience. Located in the living room is an electric fireplace and a 70” tv with access to all your favorite streaming services.
The large window in the living room looks out onto the covered front porch, which despite facing highway 3, is a relaxing space to enjoy morning coffee in the two rocking chairs it includes.
The bathroom is complete with a 74x60 shower, a 93” double sink vanity, a large seated makeup vanity with plenty of drawers for storage, a heated toilet seat, hot water bidet, and heated floors throughout.
The main bedroom located in the back corner of the house includes a queen bed, Roku TV, room darkening curtains, a remote controlled ceiling fan, and a Yamaha piano.
The second sleeping space is located in my favorite part of the house, which is the sunroom. It faces north and is completely private surrounded by large evergreen trees that line the property. Beyond the trees are cornfields, which means no neighbors and no through traffic. There are two single murphy beds located on the sunporch and room darkening curtains for a comfortable sleeping arrangement. The sunroom also has its own HVAC unit which keeps it very warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The backyard includes a fire pit and a sitting area.
I do have a pack-n-play and a booster high chair available for all guests to use. I only ask that you bring your own sheets for the pack-n-play as I do not have those on hand. All towels and linens are freshly laundered between each guest’s stay and the floors are vacuumed and mopped throughout.
Extra amenities: -Washer/dryer unit -Blender -Crockpot -Air mattress -Steamer -Iron + ironing board

Great spot to stay when visiting my college student. Well equipped kitchen and spacious living area allowed me to easily host my student and friends for dinners. The bathroom is fabulous!
Our son is an athlete at Wartburg College, and since he is in season we wanted to have some extra space to celebrate the long weekend. This was a perfect location, we will definitely be staying again!!
Lovely house and easy to get in and out of. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and as I had forgotten one of my bags at home I was very pleased to see there were some new toothbrushes available so that I didn’t have to run to the store. The kids were very comfortable on the sunporch, which stayed plenty warm overnight.
The house is lovely with very well thought out details and comfortable finishes. We were not bothered by the road noise that some mentioned in their reviews.
This home is gorgeous and Maddie was very prompt and friendly in her communication. This was just the place I needed to relax and getaway! Will definitely be back and I recommend for anyone for looking for somewhere to relax in modern comfort. 10/10 stay!!
This little house was the perfect warm and cozy place for us to stay while we were in town visiting family. We absolutely loved the ambiance of the fireplace in the living room and on those cold winter mornings…that heated bathroom floor and toilet seat were a welcome treat!
It's a lovely location and a lovely place. Perfect for two of us -- and we were able to entertain our two college sons for dinner and breakfast. It was a brief stay, but we enjoyed it. Maddie communicates well and has created a unique place suited to meet the needs of a variety of guests.
Beautiful and modern with a country feel. Great location, easy commute into Waverly or to 218. Well stocked. We especially loved the heated bathroom floor. Would definitely stay again.
Maddie’s place was perfect for a mom’s getaway with a friend. Easy to find and close to town but you still feel like you are in the country. Everything is nicely updated and clean. Furniture and decor makes it very cozy and comfy. The bathroom is massive with very nice upgrades! Would definitely stay here again.
We had to pop into town for a funeral last minute and Maddie was nothing but accommodating and kind! The place was absolutely gorgeous - a very relaxing place to lay our heads after an emotional day. We will absolutely be checking to see if it’s available anytime we come back to town for a family event.
This home is beautifully decorated and the bathroom is absolute luxury. The open floor plan is fantastic for hanging out. There aren’t many pots and pans to cook with, but Waverly has a variety of restaurant options. I would definitely recommend this property for adults and families with older children.
This property is set on the edge of town, so amenities are close, but in August it was luscious with a beautiful back yard next to fields and woods, and fire pit area, The sunroom is private and welcoming. The house is comfy and clean - a real retreat with a ginormous bathroom. If you like room to shower, this is your place! One caution to seniors if you stay here - make sure the bathmat goes inside the shower door as the tile can be a bit slippery. My friend and I loved the light and bright feel of this home. Check out the sunrise one morning - it was spectacular!
The house is exactly what the photos and description shows. Very clean and well kept with great luxury amenities. Close to town, but also felt like the country. The only thing I would say is a downside is the size of the beds. The queen seems closer to a full and the beds in the four seasons room are pretty small (they fit my young kids well, but not sure they would fit an adult).
Overall great experience :)
