The property is newly renovated and the pictures match the website, its a tranquil property with a beautiful yard and a lot of wildlife around. Kitchen is well stocked with the essentials and loved the small details throughout the house which made our stay comfortable - for example, the dog toys and bowls for our dog to eat food. New hot tub and 3 season porch were a real favorite of the family.
A drawback of the property is that it is 15 mins away from the nearest grocery store and restaurants and even then the town of Elkton has limited services, the nearest town with real activity is Harrisonburg which is 45 minutes away. We did like how close this property was to the National Park entrance and went into the park multiple times during our stay to hike and hang out at the various scenic overlooks.
Seven Springs was awesome! We stayed for a long weekend over Memorial Day to celebrate a birthday. The house is remote but easily accessible and close to main roads leading to Elkton, Stanardsville, Charlottesville, and nearby wineries. It backs up to Shenandoah and is really close to main park entrances and Skyline Drive. The house was nicely redone, and thoughtfully stocked and designed to be a great rental. From the big things like the hot tub, grill, fire pit, and screened in porch (which was great for relaxing and eating outside!), down to the little things like towels and flashlights. Great little spaces all around the house for reading or watching TV, and there’s even a small desk if you need to work from there. Wifi was fast and reliable throughout the stay.Host was extremely responsive throughout the booking process and before, during, and after our stay. Gave great recommendations for nearby restaurants, hikes, and things to do our other outdoor plans were thwarted by rain!Highly recommend for couples, small families, or a small group of friends looking to get away for a weekend (or more!).
