About this property

Porter Mountain Cabin w/ horse corral near biking hiking horseback riding trails

Come relax and have fun with the family. The cabin is across from Porter mountain which has hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. National forest backs up to the cabin. There are miles of off-roading trails waiting to be explored! We do have a small horse corral with a water trough where you can stall your equine. Or just a short drive down the road you can “rent” a trail horse at Porter Mountain Stables if you don’t have your own horse. Scott’s reservoir is just 6 miles down the road and there are many other lakes nearby such as Rainbow Lake, Show Low Lake, Fool Hollow Lake, etc. Sunrise Ski resort is about a 45 min drive away. You can snowboard or ski in the winter. Then in the summer you can downhill mountain bike or zip line or rock climb. See their website for details and updates. There are also golf courses nearby. This is the cabin to relax at as well as the perfect location for fun!

Beautiful mountain retreat

The cabin was clean and comfortable.The owners thought of everything when it came to having what we needed in the kitchen and otherwise. It was a little warm in the afternoon, but nice and cool in the mornings amd evenings. Very cozy!

Great Peaceful Mountain Getaway!

Wonderful property, quiet, off the beaten path of the main Lakeside-Pinetop highway but easily accessible to town. Lovely firepit, comfortable beds, spacious and clean. Owner very responsive to messages through VRBO.

Super Family Accommodating

Really, it was just perfect for our family. Clean, roomy, all amenities that we could possibly need. Our married kids each got their own room, the grand-kids got theirs. My communication with the owners was always quick, helpful and friendly. There were tons of toys and games (indoor and outdoors), kitchen was fully stocked, washer and dryer were a big plus, friendly neighbors, two large sitting areas inside, plus the big front porch was awesome for morning and evening coffee and reading, and the side porch was perfect for nightly dinners. Hiking was close, town was close, yet far enough to be away from the city life. Oh, and the stars at night were amazing. We created a ton of great memories playing games around the kitchen table each night as well. It was the perfect accommodations for our time together as a family. All of us truly enjoyed the property immensely, in fact, my adult kids kept thanking us for picking such a wonderful place. Score!
