About this space This lakefront home on Lake Iroquois is close to Burlington, 4 Ski Areas, Lake Champlain, and the airport. You’ll love our home because it is spacious, full of light, and has amazing views. It's an executive home with hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, comfy beds, and has a fully equipped kitchen. It sits at the end of a quiet dead end street on this spring fed mountain lake. Our home is great for couples, large families (with Kids), solo adventurers, and big groups. The space, Lakehaven, is a year round gem.
The quiet dirt road that leads to the house is perfect for evening strolls, bird watching and kid exploration (bring your bikes!).
In the summer, take the stairs down to the lake to your private beach and enjoy the 24ft private dock and mooring. You can also fish right off the dock, snorkel, look for lake turtles or the resident beaver that lives at the other end of the lake. The kids love it!
You can launch your own boat and have it docked right in front of the house during your whole stay. The boat launch is 1 mile down the road.
Enjoy the two kayaks and take them out for a paddle to explore the area by water, you might even run into the local loons and their babies. Hiking and world renown mountain biking trails are minutes down the road.
In winter months, enjoy the 2 pairs of snow shoes, and sleds for the kids- or bring your skis to take advantage of the many winter recreation options. Wintertime fun includes nordic skiing (right out the back door), skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, downhill skiing/snowboarding (close by).
In the evening enjoy your hot cocoa by the fire down by the lake.
Springtime is amazing in Vermont for biking, hiking, and enjoying all Burlington has to offer. Fall has AMAZING foliage all around Lakehaven ( just look out expansive windows). Year round bliss!!!
Your space Main level includes kitchen, dining, living room with grand fireplace, as well breathtaking peaceful views of the lake, 2 cozy queen bedroom, a bath with tub/shower.
Head upstairs and you will find the master suite with your private balcony and two separate closets. The Masters bath also has two seperate showers and vanities. The AC unit is upstairs. When the unit is running, it cools the upstairs level well, but there is not a unit on the main level.
Downstairs is the den with a Smart tv and recliner sofa (log in to any of your subscriptions and enjoy all your entertainment!). There's also a single bed in the downstairs living room.
You have access to the gym with weight equipment and exercises mats that has a great view on the lake.
An additional queen size bedroom is located downstairs and is perfect for sleeping in the morning since it is so quiet. This level also has a full bath with a shower and laundry room.
While we clean the house thoroughly cleaned between every visit (and then some!) this is a house on the lake- bugs and critters may be a part of the experience.
Our property is 100% smoke and vape free within the house and all outdoor areas.
Guest access The entire house and property, along with a dock (summer season) are yours to enjoy. Self check-in is easy with a lock box. Guest access You will have access to the whole house. Registration number MRT-10126712.

Thank you Samantha for the great review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our home.
We would love to host you agin next time you are in the area.
Enjoyed the stay overall but few inconveniences -
- installing w/d on day we arrived and when guests were arriving was disruptive
- the kitchen light over stove as out then over sink
- not enough toilet paper or paper towels so had to buy some
- enough bath towels for all but not enough hand or face towels for 8 people.

Very disappointed
I usually don't leave negative reviews but in this case of spending over $1000 for a one night's stay and not being able to stay due to the condition of the house, I had to. 4 females checking in. Initial communication was great. We arrived to find all the windows open, doors unlocked and open, things going in the dryer. We figured it was the cleaning crew, called the owner to tell him everything and he assured us that's what it was. Inside was VERY hot, muggy, damp and musty. Upon further inspection the place was extremely dirty. (we have pictures). It was 78 degrees on the main level where 2 bedrooms were and no AC. We were told to put box fans in the windows but that means leaving the place unsecured and that made us nervous. The kitchen and all the appliances were filthy; dirt on the floors; dusty; cobwebs on light fixtures; frig and freezer were nasty. We did not want to use anything. We went out to eat to see if the place would cool off. I tried to reach the owner again and left a voicemail. When we returned after dinner it was still 78 degrees (73 in the upstairs room that had AC). Two of us were feeling the effects of being in a musty, damp house and our heads were closed up and we knew we couldn't sleep there. We made the decision to leave. I texted the owner and reached out to VRBO. Case went to Health and Safety and after they spoke to the owner who denied things we got $95 back. Great potential but needs a lot of work to get it to look like the pictures.

Hi Jeffrey's wife, as I know that Jeffrey was not involved in this booking. It was clear from the moment that you entered the home that you were looking to cancel your reservation. Making false claim that we most likely had water damage because we had left the windows open on a beautiful summer day at a Lake house. I understand that you felt like you paid a lot of money to stay our greatly rated lake front house and that maybe you had second thoughts. ( no-one forced you to make the booking) All the items you are complaining in your review regarding the AC were clearly detailed in our home description and I just believe you didn't take the time to read it when you originally made the reservation. The weather was hot and humid the day you checked in, and that was also why the windows were open to have the lake breeze flow in. The house is totally safe in a very safe private road and the cleaning team had just left. That is why we feel very comfortable leaving the windows open. You then proceeded to go through the house with a fine tooth comb to discover 1-2 spider webs on the INSIDE of a ceiling mounted lamp that it was clear that you had to stand up on a chair, then stand on the dinning room table and then look inside the lamp to find that spider web.... Obviously your false claim went unanswered with VRBO and they denied your request. We too, provided all pictures and information. That is why they did not give you your money back. Our house was totally clean, the floors had just been moped, fridge had just been cleaned and the dyer was still running with 4 clean towels from all the laundry. We have never had that kind of issues with our booking. All and all it really seemed like you just wanted to cancel your reservation from the beginning. You had stated BEFORE your check in, that you were just coming in late, for one night, would not use the kitchen, or the showers, because it was a quick in and out. Next time, you change your mind, I would suggest being honest with the owner from the beginning instead of making false claims. It would have saved us both a lot of stress and energy.
About the host
Hosted by Palmer Peet
I'm originally from New York state, but lived most of my adult life in Vermont. I am a Vermonter at heart. I love all the seasons and what each one bring as well as the strong community that local people offer. I love being a host because it gives me the opportunity to share my love of the local area and interact from people from all over the world.
Why they chose this property
This is my home, I have owned it and cherished it for over 30 years. The Spring fed mountain lake, how it warms up to 80 degrees in the summer and how quiet it is even in the middle of the summer makes this place a rare gem.
What makes this property unique
The expansive views and sunlight coming through the large windows. As well as the open floor plan makes it that everyone can easily hang out together and share their special moments. It is also a very quiet place where you can easily enjoy the true essence of nature all around you.
