Brand New Home Across from Purg - Awesome Views, Arcade Game, Hot Tub, AC

Our custom built 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 4,400 square foot residence (Bostonado Lodge) was built in 2023 and is located within Purgatory Resort's Engineer Village Community (across Highway 550) and is 24 miles north of downtown Durango (less than a 30 minute drive).

Enjoy the convenience of being near the ski resort, yet have the privacy and additional space in a luxurious residence with a two car garage. The resort is both an amazing winter playground, and it also offers a wealth of all your favorite mountain activities in a cool and comfortable summer climate at 8,900 feet in elevation. For ease, there is a free on-demand shuttle to the main plaza near the lifts at Purgatory Ski Resort in winter.

The residence is perfect for multiple families and has been outfitted to be the ultimate vacation rental with an almost endless list of amenities including a private hot tub and a huge heated covered deck with an outdoor dining table and couches, gas fire table and a BBQ Grill along with amazing mountain views. Additionally, there are 2 separate living spaces on different floors, an Arcade Game, Cable TV, high speed WIFI, a fully stocked kitchen and awesome views from almost every room. The residence is also one of the few properties in the area that features central AC.

Each of the four King bedrooms has a TV and attached bathroom. Note the 2nd living space downstairs is considered the 5th bedroom as it has 2 queen and 2 twin beds.

The home is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets or service animals. Please note there are exterior security cameras in the front and back of the home (of course there are no interior cameras).

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

We have stayed at almost every property on the mountain. This house was by the far the nicest property we have rented. Through the years our family has grown, adding daughter-in-laws and grandchildren. This house was perfectly designed for adults and kids with plenty of space for everyone. Very well stocked with everything you might need. We definitely want to come back to this house again.

This house is both beautiful and well appointed/well arranged. We loved everything about it. The downstairs dwellers particularly commented on the quietness — the rooms are well insulated against sounds from upstairs. We have some early risers and their chatter has been an issue for our night owls in other properties — not so here. We plan a return visit for next year.

It was true to description and layout, sparking clean, amenities GALORE--I have never been to a VRBO property that has that has provided to the level that this one did. All rooms were furnished well, nice bathrooms, "first class" everything. The pictures on website--while good--do not do it justice!We especially enjoyed the outdoor area in evenings with the gas firepit---beautiful way to end each. day. We ended up cooking dinners in---because we loved the kitchen and dining so much. Lots to do in Durango, Silverton, Telluride and Ouray too!

It’s in a perfect location with easy access to skiing and hikes and a short drive down into Durango. We enjoyed several delicious restaurants and had fun walking around the downtown area! The main area upstairs was beautiful with lots of windows and a nice large deck overlooking the ski mountain of Purgatory. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with all the amenities. Lovely fireplace with a large TV and we were able to connect via Bluetooth for music. All of the guest rooms and bathrooms are fabulous with plenty of space with high quality linens on each bed and lots of storage. It was such a pleasure to be able to relax in the hot tub in the evenings. The hosts were so accommodating when we had questions We would definitely book this house again and we plan to do it very soon. Thanks for opening and sharing your lovely home.

There were no corners cut when the owners built this home. Everything was top quality and spacious (big rooms, hallways, garage, large outside decks, etc.). There are two main living areas (one upstairs and one downstairs) so the adults and the kids could have their own spaces to spread out. Very comfortable seating throughout the home including tons of seating outside, too. Large en-suite bedrooms were located both upstairs and downstairs along with a very large bunk room downstairs - all the beds were very comfortable (mattress, linens, pillows, towels, etc. all A+). It was very relaxing having a cup of coffee on the huge wrap-around porches (with built-in heaters should you need them) and just taking in the scenery. There is even a hot tub on the balcony which was super nice to enjoy after an adventurous day. The bathrooms are very large. It was nice to return from a hike and enjoy an extra-large shower beautifully decorated. The kitchen is enormous, and it allows for easy food preparation. Tons of seating for everyone with plenty of choices of seating at the kitchen bar or the extra-large dining table. The appliances are top quality. There is a separate pantry room with a coffee maker off the kitchen so there is plenty of space to fit any grocery items you might need for a large group for the duration of your stay. Technology: Tons of tv’s for everyone, internet speeds were fast and cell phone coverage was excellent. There are great bars/restaurants nearby and the Purgatory ski resort can be seen from the balcony. We had 12 people in our group, and we never felt like we were on top of one another
