Quaint and completely renovated early 1900s-era home overlooking a picturesque ocean cove in Midcoast Maine. Our home is nestled between the bustle of Rockland and the slower pace found on the peninsula.
This listing includes the main house, which has three bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. It also includes the separate bunkhouse, with basic amenities, a composting toilet, and which can sleep five. The property includes a large yard, with access to trails and beautiful views. Off-street parking is provided.
Spend the day relaxing at one of the nearby beaches. Venture out for a hike on the many local trails. Explore museums and art galleries, or stop into a boutique or antique shop. Dine at one of the area's many restaurants, from pub fare to fine dining. Or, bring a lobster or two back home to crack open while you watch the tide come into the cove. The perfect place to decompress for a few days or longer.
Please note: The bathroom of the main house is on the second floor, and since this is an old house, the stairs are a little steep.

About the host
Hosted by Brian and Shara LaPointe
We lived in Midcoast Maine for four years before relocating to be closer to our families. However, we still found ourselves returning often to visit with friends and enjoy this wonderful area. In 2019, we finally decided to get a place of our own that we could share with others.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home because we lived on the same road when we first got married and we've always loved the cove across from the house. When the opportunity came to own it, we jumped at the chance.
What makes this property unique
The property is close, but far away. It offers quiet relaxation with a beautiful view of the ocean in the land of the pointed firs, yet is close to lots to see and do. We love the main house, but we finished off the bunkhouse as a fun bonus for our kids and their friends to stay.
