We had everything that we needed for cooking breakfast and a few dinners. We looked for charcoal and didn’t see anything, not a big deal at all to go get some but that might be handy to have on hand. Loved the proximity to town and walked to breakfast at Kountry Kitchen one morning.We were there for softball at Jackie Robinson Complex, it was really nice to come back to the house in between games to rest.

What a trip!

**Title: Perfect Getaway in Vero Beach!** We had an amazing stay at this house! It was the perfect spot for a parents' getaway to Vero Beach, especially since we were in town for a Jake Owen concert. The location is unbeatable — just a short walk to all the bars, restaurants, and shops in downtown Vero Beach, so we were able to enjoy everything the area has to offer without having to drive. The house itself was spotless and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It had everything we needed — from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable seating areas, and cozy bedrooms. The porch was a nice bonus, giving us a peaceful spot to relax after a busy day of sightseeing and concert fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and relaxing spot in Vero Beach!

Comments from the perspective of my 40-year experience as a landlord and HomeAway host: Provide: - a curtain or shade on the front door…full glass panel is great for light but not for privacy - written instructions for your TVs. One NEVER worked, and the other required me to purchase an app (YouTubeTV) to get “normal” channels. - hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels etc - a few essential tools: screwdriver, flyswatter, etc - instructions for use of food & water in fridge Maintenance required: both shower drains run VERY slowly Thank you for the interesting and delicious coffee/tea pods

The home and host were terrific. It’s a cute, well-appointed property with thoughtful details throughout. The location is convenient to the beach and several great restaurants, which made everything easy and enjoyable.One thing future guests should be aware of is the close proximity to the train tracks. Trains run during the night and the whistle can be heard several times. I am a light sleeper, and I did not sleep well during our three-night stay because of the noise. That said, it did not bother my friend at all, so it may simply depend on your sensitivity to sound.

The front of Highland House is situated on a quiet residential street where we enjoyed sunny days on the front porch and warm breezes overlooking the shady yard with palm tree trees and staghorn ferns. Long walks were safe with minimal traffic.The home is near the town center with shopping convenient. But what makes Highland House five star is the glamorous interior. Newly updated with deluxe appointments, the home is BIG! The kitchen and main bath are gleaming. All the bedrooms are spacious and luxurious. There is even a separate room with comfortable desk and chair for computer use that we loved. There are too many thoughtful details for guest comfort to list here, but we appreciated every one.During our stay, Nicole, our host, responded instantly to our few questions. We spent a wonderful week in Highland House. We hope to return.
