Great place to stay at Cooke City. Nice, clean cabin, exactly as advertised. Hot water and heating worked great. Regular updates and check-in reminders from the host, with easy to understand instructions for check-in. Kitchen was equipped with all the usual utensils and appliances.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you felt about your stay in our cabin in Cooke City. It is apparent that you were not happy with the choices of restaurants in our small town, which is reflected in your overall rating. I am not sure what your expectations were, but we are a remotely located mountain town with about 4-5 restaurants (one only serves breakfast). The weather was beautiful so I hope that you were able to enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

Outdated but sufficient

It was cozy a great mountain view and did the trick. As far as inside, missing kitchen window curtain, toilet was an issue, daily cleaning service was just okay and never relocked door when they left which was irritating, the stove is dated and took forever to cook simple things, carpet staples come through so got poked quite a few times.

Kelly, we are very disappointed to hear that you were not happy with your cabin and wish we could have known that while you were here so we could do something about it. Your concerns do matter to us so I would like to address them. First of all, the toilet seat bolt did break and we discovered it after you checked out. This would not have resulted in a charge to you, because unfortunately maintenance items do occur at inopportune times. If we had been aware of it when it happened, we could have fixed it right away. I have been unable to locate any staples protruding, but I am going to place a curtain on the small window above the kitchen sink. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback, it enables us to improve the experience for future guests.

Cooke City is a very unique place, and we were glad to experience it. The Antlers Lodge property worked for our stay, but it is definitely older and outdated. It snowed while we were there in June, which was unexpected, and we had some trouble getting the temperature comfortable overnight. The thermostat seemed to be on a timer and controlled the gas fireplace, so we had to turn it up high at night so it would be a normal temperature by morning. The location was quiet overall, but there were a few things to be aware of. There was no deadbolt on the door, and several people seemed to be regulars walking between the nearby properties, including between our unit and the one behind it. We could also smell the neighbors’ coffee brewing in the morning, so the units may not be very sound or scent isolated. That being said, Cooke City itself is charming, unusual, and worth visiting. Just know that the town closes early, so plan ahead for food and supplies.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to leave a 5-star review. We're glad you enjoyed the unique character of Cooke City and found it to be worth visiting. For future guests, we'd like to provide a little additional context. Cooke City sits at approximately 7,600 feet in elevation, so snowfall can occur during any month of the year—including June. While it surprises some visitors, it is part of what makes this mountain community so unique. Antlers Lodge offers a variety of accommodations, including our historic lodge, beautifully renovated log cabins, newer cabins, and a modern motel building. The cabin you selected is one of our standalone log cabins that has been updated while preserving its mountain character. The gas fireplace is controlled by a thermostat that automatically cycles on and off to maintain the temperature you select. We're always happy to help if guests have questions or need assistance during their stay. Had we known you were having difficulty getting comfortable, we would have been happy to help. Thank you again for staying with us, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

What makes this property unique

We are conveniently located in town, but it will not "feel" like town because we are off of the main street, yet still a short walk to restaurants and gift shops. Our property is wooded with manicured lawns, flowers, and picnic tables for our guest's enjoyment.
