About this property
Artist home, sculptures, handmade furniture, complete kitchen, private, nature.
The king size bed is perfect for a couples retreat, or a small family as we have a single bed addition if needed.
A breakfast bar includes organic coffee beans, teas, half & half, English muffins and six eggs. There’s a gas stove/ oven, a microwave, a toaster oven, a plug-in fryer, a blender, and many cooking utensils. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, a hair dryer, a magnifying mirror, shampoo and cream rinse and body wash. Plenty of fresh towels are provided and a drying rack is in the bathroom as well. This studio was fully remodeled from the ground up with wood floors, a marble bar and a mini-split that keeps the place cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. Large windows have curtains to block out light, but if you like light, the sun will rise over your bed! The views from the studio are stunning. Outside, the two acres include a large fire pit with a metal table for cooking on. Please provide your own firewood. Enjoy the many areas for sitting. Herbs for cooking are right outside the studio door. There’s a hammock under shade and I encourage folks to enjoy the corn hole located in the carport.br>Parking is plentiful, but please avoid parking by the mailbox. The mailman hates me!!!
While here, you will likely see bear cubs playing in the yard. There are woods all around and they seem to love sunbathing in the large lawn under the wide open sky. Nighttime provides either a moon rise or an abundance of stars. The studio has its own entrance. Privacy is at a premium.
I live upstairs and work at home so am available to help with any questions you may have. There are great biking adventures from the house, as well as a nice walk around the nearby lake. Restaurants are within walking distance. Many provide take-out. Town is seven minutes by car. Uber or Lyft are always here!
To be so close to town and yet feel so far away is a real treat!
COVID PRACTICES:
Cleaning for your safety and mine is of utmost importance. Every surface, light switch, and appliance are sprayed with organic cleaner and washed. All linens are washed. br>To find the latest openings and fun activities, go to

About the host
Hosted by Callie Warner

I have been an artistic welder for 25 years and some of her work is present around the property as well as inside the studio. Coming back to my childhood land and city has been a healing choice. The land my grandparents bought in 1945 is still in the family, which is a rare occasion in these times.
I am a pesticide free, chemical free owner here and am slowly converting the land from grass to native plants and pollinators. Spending time in my garden beds is a peaceful refuge for the world and though it's not "manicured" garden beds of the English style, it is rich with abundant flowers and vegetables.
I do live upstairs but respect privacy on all levels.
If you are cooking here, feel free to cut some rosemary, sage, oregano, thyme, and mint from the yard to add flavor!
If you hear a guitar and some singing during the day, I also try and keep my chops up from years of singing professionally. Will always try and be discreet!

Why they chose this property
My grandparents bought the white house next door on the left and three acres before this house was built in 1945. A double rainbow was their sign and you very well may see one yourself while here! This house was built in 1959 and it's never left our family.
