Great Place

We reserved the house months in advance and it did not disappoint. Very clean, great location. Everything is in walking distance, the beach is literally at your back door. We want to stay here every year for family vacation.

Stayed here with our 2 grown children (20 & 24). Fantastic house and even better location. Within 2 blocks of 1/2 dozen good restaurants. And next door to a beach bar (which we never heard when inside the house). Highly recommend!

Sunny Delight was the perfect size for our group and being pet friendly was a bonus since we had a dog with us for 2 nights. The host was accommodating to our travel plans being outside of the typical Saturday to Saturday rental. Half way though our stay we had a broken coffee machine. A quick phone call later, it was replaced by that afternoon! Linen package was as described. Proximity to the beach is great. You truly just walk right out to the water. You can walk across the street for fun restaurants, many having live music. Other things to be aware of: The kitchen is minimally stocked. We were not there to cook elaborate meals, so it was fine for us, but something to note. It is also located *right* next door to Scotty's Beach Bar, where they host karaoke every night until midnight. It can get loud on the deck but inside the sound was muted enough to sleep. We did not spend much time inside, other than to sleep. The mattresses were fine, but very firm. There was not a lot of water pressure in the showers, but having 3 full bathrooms was wonderful.

We stayed at surfside the week of 7-21-25. The monday after we arrived, contractors showed up to repair the undersiding of the house (some had already fallen down, they removed some sections before we arrived) to start removing and replacing. The contractors were nice as can be and even let us know before they started work considering we were never told by surfside beach there was going to be active construction on the house while we were there. I'm annoyed that it happened while we were there and had to hear banging, oscillating tools and drills for 8 hours for 3 of the days we were there. It was loud enough none of our children could take naps while it was happening nor could we talk in a

Loved that it is steps away from the ocean. And despite the fact that it is right next to a beach bar (and I do mean extremely close), the noise never bothered us. Two things that would make it better: an actual enclosed outdoor shower; and if it came with at least a few basics -- like liquid hand soap, dishwasher pods, spices (even if just salt & pepper) foil & plastic wrap, etc. For other similarly priced rentals at other beaches, I typically find it to be at least somewhat stocked so you do not have to bring literally EVERYTHING from home. Fridge needs to be repaired or replaced (missing shelves).
